But for some reason, after watching that scene initially, I remember feeling like all involved were equally at fault and wrong when it’s not even close. No wonder he’s still pissed a decade later!

Rhaenyra son's could be bastards but she isnt a bastard neither is deamon, the trone was theirs and Viserys wanted Rhaenyra to be the heir. Hightower are just a hungry warmonger, Viserys never should have married Alicent but in the books she kinda seduced him...
