one of my friend from China said it is too expensive to see the ktm darbar square. The ticket was 1500 and there are not much to see compared with Bhaktapur darbar square of which the price is the same. foreigners also needs to pay around 300 to get into the meusuam. I personally think it is too much and regardless of location of countries, the price for foreigners should be the same. For south asians it is only 150.
Hypocrite foreigners won't speak a word and are happy to spend $50-$100* in the developed countries just to buy tickets in burj khalifa or some other random sky scrappers just to see the views from the top of an artificial tower but complains when a developing countries charges $10-$12 ( that valid for a week or so) to show their historic landmarks, cultures and majestic ancient architectures which can be a source of knowledge to many and can be pictorialist destinations that is unique to rest of the world. such a shameful thinking.

Someone pls convey this message to mayor of ktm. I think the ticket price should be reduced to $5 for foreigners so that many budget travelers could to afford and enjoy the beauty of square. Rs.1500 is way too much for them to see nothing extra ordinary but just a bunch of poles hanging around or giving support to old buildings and the iron poles encircled around the temples for reconstruction. That's a disappointment for them. Why should tourist pay Rs.1500 just to see the reconstruction? Other Municipalities can also work together and make a combined tickets price for all the durbar squares so that once the money is paid, foreigners can visit all the other squares with just a one ticket. This will boost extra economic activities in all those squares, reduce the consumption of paper and can also decrease the workforce that should be mobilized in every ticket counters. Municipalities can work together to provide shuttle services that take visitors from one squares to others and can also provide guided tours. Every hustlers, beggars and guides who try to sell something desperately to foreigners on the street should be chased away. That's just a shameful act and irritates most of the tourists.
