My now ex best friend was like that. She was like “you can afford to go on an all inclusive holiday with me and MY friends. you must pay a little extra as we haven’t got much money” blah blah blah. When I lost my job and after I told her (she was sickly sweet and was like ‘omg I’m so sorry’ and all that BS) “I can’t come to your birthday as I’ve lost my job” she did a complete 180 and was like crying and screaming at me down the phone and called me “fake and an absolute liar” when she found out I went to my then boyfriend’s 20th just two weeks prior (I still had my job then). Then she demanded I paid HER for her birthday celebrations and she had me pay for the replacement person’s hotel room! I dumbly did that and she basically dragged me through Hell. She also would threaten me and say that she will happily kick, smack, hit or do something to me if she ever saw my face. All I would do was cry and apologise. I would try and not cry though as she would get even more mad at me so if she was like “if you were sorry, you’d cry” then if I was trying not to cry she’d scream in my face saying stuff like “I’ve been through Hell and you lie about having mental health. Stop with the pathetic crocodile tears. I’ll smack you in the face, I swear to God I will. Bitch.” My mental health has been so bad that I’ve been rediagnosed with severe depression and social anxiety and after I lost my son last year I was diagnosed with severe post natal depression and acute PTSD. I have been in and out of psychiatric hospitals since. I barely leave the house now out of fear I will see her or her boyfriend or her minion (who would either be my friend or hers but mostly on her side to possibly avoid being threatened). I’m so scared of the outside world, the only people who I can trust is my mom, my sister and my new best friend.

I deal with mental illness and struggle in college cus of it, but I have friends who love and support me. It’s how I get through it. If depression is the reason OP dropped out of college, I'd say it's pretty damn bad. Not to mention the effect friends can have on your mental wellbeing. I have had a lighter form of depression since I was 12 (19 rn). Got treated for the first time when I was 15-16, felt great. Then my own friends decided to make me the black sheep because I didn't want to drink alcohol with them, which escalated to bullying. They made me miserable and I tried hurting myself because of them. Luckily, I dragged myself back to therapy again (at 17-18) and it happened to be my last year of school so I cut them out of my life completely. Now I'm in uni, studying what I love and I have a new group of friends who actually care about me. Aside from the occasional episode, life is pretty great once again! So to all of you struggling with mental health or shitty friends: do what's best for you. It's okay to feel selfish sometimes if your own happiness is on the line. Plus, putting your own health and happiness first isn't selfish to begin with. They don't deserve you and you deserve better. Treat yourself!

I got a similar one, but it is not about Netflix. So, a few months ago, me and my family members were just chilling, watching TV in our living room. Nothing weird at all. Since my YT channel is very small, I expected that _nobody_ would even care to get in this account. Anyways, we were chilling for a few hours. Then, my mom got an e-mail. It said, "New (device type) signed into your account" . Literally, _NOBODY_ was on their devices. Nobody knows the password and gmail besides us. (It actually used to be my mom's gmail, but she didn't need it so it became my channel) Somebody logged in to our Gmail WITH THE CORRECT PASSWORD without us realizing. I have never posted any phone numbers, the gmail, or the password on RUclips or on other social medias. It was terrible, including that we had a RUclips channel with 50 subs at the time. And lots of videos. That person could of just went to "Account Settings" and found the "RUclips channel" part, then press " Remove channel". Luckily, we quickly discussed a secure but rememberable password, and set it to that. Then logged out all devices in the account settings from the Gmail.
The one about the trip & fake "friends" was so sad & really hit close to home. I can relate because I dropped out of college over my anxiety & depression. 😔

First story reminds me of when my sister in law was asking for money to "fix her car" while her husband was in Iraq (lots of money coming in because it was war time.) Hubby told her he couldn't give her the money, but he could go buy the parts and fix her car (he was a construction mechanic in the Navy). She noped out and said she really wanted it for her mechanic and needed it as cash. She wasn't happy when my husband refused to give her the money and doubled down on doing the work and buying the parts himself. (And yes, she was an active drug addict and spent ALL of her husband's hazard pay and other income on drugs. He came back with nothing to show for it.)
As someone who dropped out of college due to depression, I can say that just cause someone hasn't gone into ER for an attempt, doesn't mean the desire never crept up. Hell, even out of college i'm struggling. Those "friends" are terrible. It's easier to just be alone

Got a story related to the first one. My dad had a really nice job in Washington DC when he was younger. When he worked, he always encountered homeless people. If they were talking about how they were hungry, my dad would walk up to them, and offer to take them to the McDonald's just around the corner. If they accepted, then they just got a free meal. Whatever they wanted, my dad bought them. If they denied and said to give them the money instead, my dad ignored them, as the money was almost positively going to be used on drugs.

I got a similar one, but it is not about Netflix. So, a few months ago, me and my family members were just chilling, watching TV in our living room. Nothing weird at all.
Since my YT channel is very small, I expected that _nobody_ would even care to get in this account.
Anyways, we were chilling for a few hours. Then, my mom got an e-mail.
It said, "New (device type) signed into your account" .
Literally, _NOBODY_ was on their devices. Nobody knows the password and gmail besides us. (It actually used to be my mom's gmail, but she didn't need it so it became my channel)
Somebody logged in to our Gmail WITH THE CORRECT PASSWORD without us realizing.
I have never posted any phone numbers, the gmail, or the password on RUclips or on other social medias.
It was terrible, including that we had a RUclips channel with 50 subs at the time. And lots of videos. That person could of just went to "Account Settings" and found the "RUclips channel" part, then press " Remove channel".
Luckily, we quickly discussed a secure but rememberable password, and set it to that. Then logged out all devices in the account settings from the Gmail.
The one about the trip & fake "friends" was so sad & really hit close to home. I can relate because I dropped out of college over my anxiety & depression. 😔

First story reminds me of when my sister in law was asking for money to "fix her car" while her husband was in Iraq (lots of money coming in because it was war time.) Hubby told her he couldn't give her the money, but he could go buy the parts and fix her car (he was a construction mechanic in the Navy). She noped out and said she really wanted it for her mechanic and needed it as cash. She wasn't happy when my husband refused to give her the money and doubled down on doing the work and buying the parts himself. (And yes, she was an active drug addict and spent ALL of her husband's hazard pay and other income on drugs. He came back with nothing to show for it.)

As someone who dropped out of college due to depression, I can say that just cause someone hasn't gone into ER for an attempt, doesn't mean the desire never crept up. Hell, even out of college i'm struggling. Those "friends" are terrible. It's easier to just be alone

All they really need is one studio and one really good teacher for every subject, and they'd have excellent teaching materials for an entire country. All that's left is some people to check and grade homework

it basically is how it sounds. we have the live streams for classes and submit and do work online. idk if its the same for all schools but my school has this exemption for if you're caught up in work and have a hood grade that youre exempt for the month, so its not too bad.

Got a story related to the first one. My dad had a really nice job in Washington DC when he was younger. When he worked, he always encountered homeless people. If they were talking about how they were hungry, my dad would walk up to them, and offer to take them to the McDonald's just around the corner. If they accepted, then they just got a free meal. Whatever they wanted, my dad bought them. If they denied and said to give them the money instead, my dad ignored them, as the money was almost positively going to be used on drugs.
