The phrase "Three Stars and A Sun" was first used by the very first PINOY Rapper in the Philippines - FRANCIS M.
He gave a shout out to the Master Rapper Francis M!
hope you could react to Francis M's song Kaleidoscope World or 3 stars and a Sun!
Filipino represent!
Legit!
But Rza said "3 stars and a
full moon clover" lol
That's cool to know though I gotta check him out
@Adam Ben Craib lol hahahahahha
How rap has evolved in the Philippines since the first recorded rap song of Dyords Javier of "Naonseng Delight", a parody of "Rapper's Delight" by Sugarhill Gang.
The instrumentals are from a Filipino folk dance called, "Cariñosa" and it's a dance where a handkerchief or fan is used as a prop to carry out a romance scenario. So not only did Ez wear the Filipino colours but was also referencing the dance 🇵🇭
The background bell sound is an ethnic Filipino instrument called a Kulintang. When I realized that, it blew my mind. EZ Mil innovated this song to such a degree that it became a masterpiece. I think he’s a genius.

i like the way you know the history of how Spain colonized Philippines when Ez said "I live in Spain but the S is silent". Kudos. 👌
I'm in pain
Ooooh, did someone mention polo y servicio? Hint hint
Very clever with the letter and word pun, implying deeper social trauma.
yes, Spain colonized the philippines in the past. pero hindi po yan ang ibig sabihin ni kuya Ez Mil sa kanta niya. he said, "I've been in Spain, but the letter S is silent." ibig sabihin po "I've been in pain." at wala po kinalaman yang colonization history na yan sa line na yan sa kanta niya po. just saying, sana maintindihan din ng iba. naga-assume kasi ang iba na about Spain colonizing the Philippines yung line na yan. hays

came back here to check how it all started! wow 1M views💯 this version is as dope as the Pacquiao version both 🔥 and the chemistry of KNOX (as the reactor)and EZ is undeniable, it's different.🙌🏽

I’m glad to see another RUclipsr who reacts to EZ Mil’s “Panalo” performance who did some research about the lyrics, the singer, and the history. Some reactors I watched don’t have the same level of awareness as you. Thank you for appreciating him and his talent. More power to your channel.
Love from the Philippines 🇵🇭
Knox Hill yata yan haha, the king of Bar Breakdown haha lodi yan kaya naka follow ako dito.
Nice reaction!
I totally amazed
full of energy, he sing with all his heart and charm.

Thankz for the reaction
We love you EZ Mil😘😘😘😘
I like how he dissected this piece and researched prior to reacting. This is an artist who knows his craft and pays respect to other artists' talent. Kudos to Knox! You are a winner (Panalo)
My favorite line is "I'm claiming my reign (rain) like a king so I can water crops for surviving."
But sadly no one catches ittt
Please do not stop reacting to EZ Mil knox... you are one of genuises in breaking bars...EZ is still independent, he just sign for distribution and marketing and he still his own.. God bless sir.
So... the chorus English translation goes: "We R Filipino, whatever ur skin color were still 1 in our hearts. Whether Ur Tagalog, Visaya, or Ilocano, No 1 can defeat us cuz of the ferocity of our blood. Shout out loud all of our victories & don't talk about the negatives, wherever U R around the world, this is our future. (Victory!) WINNERS! ... Hope that helps!
Thanks dude! This makes the song eve that much better

Fun fact he actually spoke 3 languages in this song: Filipino, English and a native dialect called Ilokano😊

He's paying attention to the message of the song. He's really good at it. Love it!!
mostly professionals or either experienced singer/rappers tend to listen to the lyrics of the song or either the message to know if it's good or not, it's all about the message and not the beat or rhythm of the music
this really is a great reaction he knew the message of the song🙌❤️
Yeah knox hill know how to appreciate artistry in any kind of music specially in rap just like he always did on BTS and other artist around the world like now. Salute K Hill
This is the best reaction for this song..the way he interpret the song and understand each lirics are so damn right..Unlike some Pilipino commentors here na kung mag comment talo pa ang history book ng Pilipinas sa daming alam.....Sorry na bie🤣🤣🤣✌️✌️✌️✌️

I like how you noticed every bits of the instruments even the beat and the lyrics that any normal listeners could not catch up in an instant. This is a amazing review and reaction so, far. I can tell that you are a great musician yourself. Amazing!!!
The music behind the intro of the song is part of a Filipino Folk Dance music called Cariñosa. It was very genius of EZ Mil to use that as an inspiration coz Filipinos know that music by heart. Once we hear it, we know it's ours.❤
The folksy intro you hear at the start and in the backing track throughout the song is the carinosa. Typically played by a rondalla or a group of string instruments (banduria, octavina, laud, ukelele, and other Filipino-made instruments that are modeled after the violin).
It shows how patriotic he is kkproud pero may umepal ung mayor ng lapu City hays 🤗🇵🇭🤛🥇🦾
Tagalog ,Visaya, ilocano are the biggest dialects used here in the philippines. And the rap started, ursy nu..." The dialect is ilocano. Find out the meaning of that chorus .

You wont go far if you think like that
Settle it with Bathala

Surfacing, served on a turon with Pusang rice on a...
(Speak in Ilocano)
What?
(Ilokano! Ilokano!)
Okay!
**He switches to Ilokano, one of the main languages of Northern Philippines**
EVEN THOUGH I TOLD
YOU MOTHERF@$#@
I'M JUST HERE WAITING FOR WHOEVER
WANTS TO COME FOR ME
WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BITCH AND CRY
TRYIN TO GIVE ME "ADVICE"
DO YOU WANNA GET MURDERED
IN THIS TOWN
All of you
Ever since I was a kid I've been kinda
Discriminated in my own home country
Sure, some would be like:
"You're so white. Tisoy!"
I ain't Tisoy
I'M PINOY
And I swear that:
NOBODY WILL EVER LOOK AT ME THE
SAME WAY AGAIN
I'LL MAKE IT TO THE TOP WHILE I BE SHOWIN'
NAY-SAYERS AND
I'VE BEEN WINNING SINCE
LAPU-LAPU WAS BEHEADED IN MACTAN
AND ALL WERE SLIGHTED
WHEN THEY FOUND OUT THAT A FOREIGNER KILLED
THEIR HERO
ON A SHORE
OWNED
BY A FILIPINO
Despite any turmoil
I'll be proud of my soil
WHY?
Cuz..

Muchisimas gracias for Ez mil. Thank you for supporting our rapper.
I love this reaction makes me proud and loud as a Filipino !
Damn! He raps in 3 languages: English, Filipino and Ilocano!
Edit: Language vs dialect discussion below. Join the healthy debate and please don't just leave a comment without backing up your argument. Thanks, everyone. ✌️
Ilocano is a dialect
@Matthew Jones they are different spelling
Idk u tell me
2 languages and 1 dialect, in correction
@UCjBAd9vU1TTQJMCvMFWPzig a dialect is a sub-language in a particular region.
Categorically, it's a dialect/sub-language in textbooks, but I'm a rebel! I grew up in a multilingual household where we speak French, German, English, Filipino, Bahasa (Malaysia), Ilocano and Bisaya, I can say with confidence that Ilocano should be a language because it's so distinct, just like the many dialects in the Philippines. I consider it a language on its own. But that's just me.. Damn, do you know how hard it is to switch? Lol Ilocano is difficult!
One of the most genuine reaction I’ve seen for Panalo. Thanks :) Proud filipino here🇵🇭
Nagreact lang sa kanta proud na agad
I like how you broke it down what EZ is saying. You are spot on!

I really like the line, "Despite any turmoil, I'll be proud of my soil" That speaks volumes of how people should be viewing their nation especially the US rn.

You deserve a like and a subscribe for being able to be on point with your dissection of the rap even though you couldn’t fully understand all the lyrics and lyricism in different tongue. Glad to be a subscriber💪🏼
