We need an Addams Family+ Munsters crossover movie or television series. Imagine Gomez Addams & Herman Munster planing their family vacation together or Mortcia Addams, Grandma Addams, Wednesday Addams & Liliy Munster & Marilyn Munster all going on a Girl's Trip together. How about Pugsley Addams & Eddie Munster going to school together or Uncle Fester & Count Sam Dracula (Grandpa Munster) both taking a road trip?
I dunno how well the Addams Family and Munsters would get along... They were kinda the opposite in a way. The Addams were real people who behaved like monsters, whereas the Munsters were real monsters who behaved like real people. I could see Munsters not digging the strange behavior of the Addams Family, like the torture and stuff. Lurch would not like how dusty and filthy the Munster house is
The Addams Family were very open minded and non - judgemental, and had relatives with two-heads, extra limbs, and other abnormal variations. I think they would have gotten along fine.

The Munsters seemed way more traditional and conservative than the Addamses. Herman got scared easy, moreso than a child at times, he was afraid of the dark in one episode... I could see German being frightened at some of the Addamses practices lol

Morticia shames Cousin Itt for wishing to be a stewardess. In the corny 90s movies, Wednesday hates and judges literally everyone, Morticia and Gomez snobbishly judge the normal children's harmless play, and Morticia is very shallow and judges Debbie for wearing pastels. They're rich people. Of course they judge.
Lily gets the point of what Marilyn is saying.... Marilyn was not on edge,and Lily was sharp-witted to direct Marilyn to her job as "director",not conductor to another orchestrated horror musical!
After seeing this short clip I can see why this show failed. The actress is trying way to hard to talk like the original lily plus both acting is much worse then the original. The original cast was to unique anyone else trying to play these characters just seems very watered down. I think if they were to bring back the munsters they need to make eddy grown up head of household with his new monster family. I think people would respond better because eddy bringing back the familiarity of the original yet not replacing them by making new characters.
Hate to tell you, The Munsters Today didn’t fail. It actually outran the original, and spurred two made for TV movies in the 90s where the OG cast from 1964 done a cameo as people in a restaurant.😂
This show really can’t win, people like you Violet say the actors try and emulate the original cast, others say John Schuck was nothing like the original Herman. Also, you mention Eddie being grown up, they actually did this on season 3 of The Munsters Today. He had a lot of grown up episodes, even became a record producer with his Dad in one. Those episodes were great.

The real problems would be that little cleaver kid down the street always causing a fuse, or that airhead blonde woman named Lucy making everyone life a living hell even though she is only trying to help. Don’t even start with their neighbors, to their left is the Air Force pilot who has a blonde wife who dresses funny and calls him master, or the guy across the street whose blond wife always does that funny thing with her nose. Weird things always happen when either of those two blonds come over. Thankfully the sheriff is always there to set things straight, even if his deputy always shoots himself in the foot.

The show sucked because it tried to be something it wasn't, an 80s sitcom. If I did a reboot of The Munsters, I'd make it to where the actors were a lot like the originals, I'd make it modern(except in character design) but make it true to the original, and I'd make sure to add some story elements to it, as well as some little Easter Eggs that reference the original actors.

Yeah, I love Lee Meriwether. I've met her twice. She was great as Catwoman and made a decent Lily, but no one can top Yvonne de Carlo as Lily.
