Take whats left, very Sound of truth sounding with the guitar, on of my favorite guitar riffs so im cool with it. Love the whole album. @Nik any chance you can do a cover of this with some tabs, would greatly appreciate it.
Crazy how AILD took a relatively simple metal core riff but always manage to build such a huge progression and solid groove to it, every time! I'm really feeling the solo is cut in half, hoping the album track has a longer one :)
I know this is an old video but I love going back and watching people react to them. Definitely one of my all time favorite bands, and I finally talked my wife into going to see them live with me when they come to Charlotte in June of this year!
My heart fell out my ass when Jordon rolled on the floor toms before the solo busted out. That part kills me, it's so tasty. I feel that chorus imparting such strength unto my soul. Classic old school guitar work. This is my favorite song yet, even if the others have had a bit more going on.
For me it's a "Parallels" meets "Nothing Left" meets "Sound Of Truth" but faster. And it's fucking amazing hearing basicly the old stuff but in slightly newer form. Same, but new, but still same. And you could just close your eyes, hear the first riff, and you can surely tell it's AILD. That's amazing that they can still play this oldschool stuff and you never get tierd of it.
It always seems like AILD solos are short, but I think that is why I always remember them. To this day, I think their best one is from the song "Paralyzed". It's not that it is overly complicated or fast; its melodically synonymous to the song and therefore memorable.
What I enjoy about your reaction videos out of everyone else's is that you seem completely genuine about your emotions and how they fluctuate throughout a song. Your little insights don't interrupt the flow of the song and I can tell you being a pure musician that you can respect a piece of artistry when you hear/see it. Keep up the good work!
Definitely made me feel like I was back years ago listening to the band. Love the vibe of this song. Second solo needed to be longer. All in all, brilliant song. Cannot wait for the full album.
So glad to see AILD back in full swing. I'll never forget when I saw them here in AZ, Tim brought his family to the stage and it was a really amazing experience. That's the side of Tim I always thought of during all the drama, and I never stopped doubting that AILD could make a comeback. You can really feel the pure and powerful energy they're exuding. 👊
after the dissapointments that were the new Being As An Ocean Album and the new The Devil Wears Prada Singles, I needed this. So fuckin glad AILD returned, and definetely stronger than they've ever been
Im a big fan of metal and all genres of metal and i just love that i can visually see you expressing what i feel when i listen to the same music. Ur reactions are awesome and i feel u deserve way more followers. Also ur fukin ace on guitar and i watch and play a lot of what you do so yea big inspiration ur awesome !! Damxllx from New Zealand
The music video he watched added 51 seconds to the song with that (hype as fuck) intro. The single version of this track is 3:22. They could have extended the solo, but I'm glad they didn't. Hipa's solos are a good fit for AILD's music, but they are mostly wankage that should not extend beyond the purpose they need to fulfill. I'd like to see him do some longer, more thoughtful and more memorable guitar solos, because he definitely shows the skills and talent needed to do them. Oli Herbert showed how this genre can have epic guitar solos, like his masterpiece solo in The Air That I Breathe.
This band is awesome. Just saw them live last night in Sacramento, Ca with Emmure and After the burial...a small intimate sold out club...off the charts. Great reaction. Great music video. Peace love and joy this Christmas season. Godspeed.
When you do these reaction videos you should also touch on the lyrical content. The lyrics are part of the vocalists instrument and just as important as the voicing of the riffs and other instruments.
Whenever i hear a As I Lay Dying Solo begin, i am like "hell yeah, lets go..." and as i finish saying it, it's already over. That is sush a shame, that they cut the awesome solos in the new Album songs so short, because clearly they CAN play solos like the devil himself. But other than the short solos (and cmon, i am glad, that they even have some in there) this album is gonna kill it. \m/ \m/ \m/ \m/ \m/
100% agree with your opinion of the song and the 2nd guitar solo. I HATE a solo that cuts off when you feel like its about to pop off lol. Everything else was awesome classic AISD riffs with a few added new influences. Some cool speech/screaming coming from Tim. Though highlight of the song to me was increasing the length of the chorus each time it came. Josh was hitting some crazy notes that last chorus!
Definitely would love to see a reaction to The Sea of Tragic Beasts by Fit For An Autopsy. Great reaction though Nik! Pumped for the album. Definitely going to be one of my favorites. Rock on everyone! 😎🤘🏼🔥 Maybe some songs from Infant Annihilator’s new album?! 😂😎🤘🏼
"Fuuuuck" was my reaction when I first heard this one too lol check out torn between AILD did a music video for recently, it's a great song would love to see a reaction Nik
Census is a really good band you should react to, they only have 200 subs and a few songs but theyre all super good quality music (I can feel eternity, Placebo)
@@gunterstryke5657 i have no doubt about that. Personally i do hope that other songs have longer solos but if they dont, the album will still kick ass and im still blastinh that shit
Josh has done a lot of work on his voice. Saw them live last March and dude was flawless. Was a great show all around. But with that said Phinehas was definitely best band that night. Everything was just so tight for them from sound to flawless playing. AILD was almost too loud believe it or not
Big four of metalcore: As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red, Killswitch Engage and Parkway Drive. They have always stand out and no matter how many bands release great music, they will never be as good those four.
*That new AILD album is gonna be pure insanity*

Listen to undertow and gate keeper. My favs on the album.
You weren't wrong.... it is literally the best album i have heard in a long while
This is so 2007 I just started a circle pit in my bedroom, alone.
Perfect
Best Comment.
Make a video of that :b
The part were Tim is picking up the mic it was like Thor picking up his Mjolnir
So damn accurate

Yes you should totally do a guitar cover of the song.
@shrediknight 🤣
as i lay dying always creates such melodic and cracked guitar riffs!
Godtier metalcore, they are metalcore
I know this is an old video but I love going back and watching people react to them. Definitely one of my all time favorite bands, and I finally talked my wife into going to see them live with me when they come to Charlotte in June of this year!
This is so 2000s metal core that my tshirt shrunk from an L size to an S and my work shoes morphed into a pair of black Vans slip on
Haha so true!
Camp shorts slip on vans tight hardcore short and military green cap 🙌
This was a stolen comment dweeb
Don't forget that your tshirt lost its sleeves and expanded the armholes almost all the way down the side
This was already a comment on redefined
This sounds like shadows are security so much .. I can't wait for this album

This song feels like time traveling to old AILD and I love it
I remember being a teenager discovering 94 hours and instantly they became my favorite band. Early 2000's was the golden years
I thank my boyfriend until today for showing me this band, it is one of the best in the genre. love of Brazil.
DUUUDE that taping makes me want to be a power ranger
Bro. Seriously.
Bro I morphed into the Red Ranger half way through the song. Now how do I get this suit off?

still my favorite band ever.20 yrs going .an yeah this is really shadows are security sounding
Nik your reaction was the same as mine, I was BLOWN away by the intro riff and I was like wait this was written in 2019? Wtf? Lmaoo so good.

This song is so fucking good oh my god. Love Phil's power plays in it 👌👌 all the riffs in it are so fantastic too!
I was able to sing along the solo first time hearing it. Felt like the guitarist exactly new what solo i would play over this
