Alex, I do this with an Arko stick and get heaps of lather, wet your shaving bowl, empty it, wet the stick and rub it in the bowl, then use your brush to bowl lather, by doing it this way it’s less scrubbing on your face plus you will get a lot of lather.
I really like to face lather,it's scratchy and softens my beard. Usually if I don't use enough hot water and not lather my face for some time, even Astra blue or Gillette 7"o"clock tugs me pretty hard and don't cut the beard
You’re killing me Alex, just when I thought I had enough brushes🤣 I’ve been wanting that Atlantis synthetic, I love the look of it, the badger is beautiful too. I have many Yaqi synthetic brushes and love them all, great value too. Futur is my favorite adjustable razor, try it with a Gillette Nacet blade. Hopefully the Mrs. won’t see the video😉 Congratulations on the subs 🍻
😅 Man…I know that I have RAD, but now I have also BAD 😂 You have to get it…not so expensive and it looks great & performs super! Futur is a beast of a razor 😁 I have to get some Gillette Nacet blades, but I can’t find them here, locally…Thank you for your feedback and support sir, really appreciate it. Have a great week! Cheers ✌️
@@AlexShavesReviews You’re welcome Alex, I buy on eBay different blades and had a pack of Nacet blades which I tried in other razors and didn’t like but in the Futur it’s super smooth, now my BAD is telling me to get the Atlantis brush🤣
Hi Alex, nice video. I often have the Impression, that the Tabac stick dosn't lather up as good a if I facelather from the glastub. Could the comparrson betweet these two be an idea for a future video? I'm a big fan of the Yaqi synthetic brushes, aspecialy the "Rainbow"(26mm) and the "Sagrada Familia"(24mm). As badger brushes are concerned, I have 2 realy nice ones in my den, a Mühle 2 band an a Plisson silvertip. Both are great, but I often forget to put them in warm water for 10 min before I start to lather up, and after realizing my fault, I have to grab a synthetic brush.... But if I remember to wet the brush while I take a shower, so it can soak before I get started, the 2 badger brushes I have in my den are terrific. But for daily use and in a rush in the morning, I prefer my synthetics.... A second suggestion for a future video: - Could you try a slant razor and give your opinion, perhaps in comparrison to a closed comb? What about a match between the Parker 55SL and your Parker 65R? That would be an awsome thing to watch.
Hello 👋 and thank you for your feedback! Those are some great ideas for future videos 😁 I think the same, Tabac in the glass tub performs better than the stick. Definitely for a future video, I will include a slant razor, cuz they are great 😬 Keep in touch sir. Have a great start of the week. All the best! Cheers ✌️
For me, to prevent irritation it is best to form the cream in a bowl then apply gently on the face. If I need to form the cream directly on the face, I use a tube cream that creates rich foam. You did a good job when you rubbed the brush directly on the soap.
Hi Alex, first video I saw from your channel. Got the Cavern Lake and Atlantis handles with a 24mm synthetic knot for around 8EUR and ordered the 2 band badger today from a Yaqi live for about 12 EUR in the Mountain Lake handle with a 24mm Silvertip in the red marble handle. Nice thorough comparison, will certainly come back! Greetings from Portugal!!
Great video, Alex! I love my synthetic brushes, too. The Futur is my favorite razor. It gives me the least irritation. Setting 5 and two passes and I’m good. Others I need 3-5 passes for BBS and this gives me more irritation.
Thanks for your reviews, Alex. They are very valuable, especially for us newbies. I've been trying to like the Voskhod blades, but no matter which razor I use them on, they feel 'tuggy'. I'm able to achieve a BBS result, but it requires many more strokes than with blades like the Feather, Nacet, Silver Blue, Crystal, and Personna reds. I haven't noticed you complain about any 'tugginess' with the Voskhods. Do you feel they are as sharp and efficient on your beard as blades typically considered sharper? Do they tend to pair better for you with certain razors? I'd appreciate your input on this topic. Thank you.
Hello 👋 For me Voskhod work really good, especially in a more aggressive razor. I didn’t felt any tugging with the voskhod’s. Like for example, for me the voskhod works better than the Feather blade. Smooth, no irritation. And on the second use, on the same blade, I feel it even sharper. But, like I said, I think they work better paired with more aggressive razors. Hope this helped sir. Keep in touch. Cheers! ✌️
After shaving, I usually just rinse off my razor and put it back. However, when replacing the blade, I can often see that there is still some shaving cream residue from the previous shave. Do you think this is bad, and that I should disassemble the razor after every shave to get every bit of residue off?
I prefer face lathering, put shaving cream inside brush and lather directly on face, on that way i get better foam, more creamy, thicker, in comparison with a bowl lathering...btw im using synthetic brush from dm market 7e price in Serbia and nivea or palmira cream hihihi i dont have big choice of de shaving accessories cuz here most people using cartridge razors and foams from can... :-\
my 29mm Simpson T3 Trafalgar is the best brush on the market today it's like buying a $200 badger hair brush, no cleaning the brush, no need for a brush stand, fast drying time, well not fall apart like a badger hair can, cheap to buy, i have owned it for 5 years with know problems wheelchair Larry

Alex, you go ahead and buy as many brushes as you want. Just never let your wife know! Haha! Thanks again! Oh P.S. Alex, I too believe synthetic brushes are better. My favorite is my Simpsons T2. And thanks to you I just purchased a Yaqi! I would recommend you try the Omega synthetic. They made it so it is just like their boar hair brush. And it is very close. I even prefer the synthetic one!
@@AlexShavesReviews Oh no, Alex! Did you give your "BARBER POLE" Omega Hi-BRUSH synthetic fiber shaving brush away? ;) If not, that statement doesn't seem true ;) Or maybe you're talking about a different kind of synthetic brush. I don't know all that much about synthetics, but lately I tried a G4 synthetic from Frank Shaving and I'm blown away by the quality. You should definitely get one if you don't have already. Keep the shipments away from the wife so she doesn't notice ;) Take care!
