Great review! I'd already ordered one from another review, but was left wondering why I had not bought one before - your review clearly pointed out the limitations of earlier models. Inbuilt motion sensor is a game changer.
Pete that's brilliant Such a simple solution. Thanks so much for again solving one of my problems When your reply came in I had two friends who came to fly their new drones, they were impressed I had already shared a few of your video's with them before
@@RCEscape thanks Pete Oddly enough I have the bigger one Vifly GPS mate, hence me thinking that I would nee to wire it in. I really appreciate all your knowledge sharing.
@@RCEscape hi Pete, I hope this isn't a silly question. I have the Jumper Lite, is it possible to bind it to my Hubsan or similar style of quadcopters. I would like to have just one Tx and love the feel of Jumper I also use it as a controller for DCL the game Greetings fae a frozen Scotland
@@jamiespeirs885 Is it a multi protocol module tx? I’m not familiar with jumper lite. If you scroll through all of the protocols and have multitude of protocols, it could bind with most quads but some models do not bind.
Great complete review. Thanks. I put the JHE42B buzzers on all my quads, don’t fly without them. I prefer the wired beepers in stead of this wireless beeper, its great they charge while flying, but i can see there is a good place in the market for this beacon. For if you don’t want to solder or using it on a vehicle that has no possible beeper function at all.
I fly freestyle and a self powered beeper is a must cause I am pretty good at ejecting my batteries and breaking my quads. So long as I done smash the beeper to bits on impact all should be good.
Dang it sucks watching this as I already lost our new avata Do to batterie failure Never could find it for two months as it was thick brush, probably walked right by it dozens of times then the state cut the field and we found it later all chop to pieces. Wish I had this little guy may have turned out differently. Great video.
This is a great product, looks like a must have for me. That way I can find the drones in the trees when at my parents property in the country. Thanks for sharing Pete, I'm going to look at your link now.
nice review thanks! just ordering right now ;) had this hard to get "lost model alarm" back in the days. then i took a forced fpv break for 1,5 years came back........and now this beauty is on the market! wow! so nice to have the pre-full alarm status now (my old one just had a fixed 30sec timer after turned on....pretty annoying). the stealing-alarm is also nice aswell as the 3 sensitivites to set up! its also like half the price of my good old lost model alarm. btw: just hotglue some velcro to the bottom of the drone alarm and attach some counterpart-velcro on your favourite spots on each of your drones, worked well for me back in the days. with manual activated buzzer from FC+goggles with rec/play feature and a selfpowered motionsensor-buzzer its kinda impossible to lose a drone.......exept in water :)
Nice review..wish had 2 years ago! When lost a few toy grade drones. This great for them! And if have more than one bird could save some money..big thanks my friend! God bless
My sensitivity indicator seems to be the LED light rather than the bright white flash as your. My indicator is the green LED. My drone by just changing altitude rapidly was triggering the alarm sound. I now adjusted it at sensitivity 3 flashing green, and at this low setting I hope the normal flying characteristics of my drone does not trigger the alarm mode.
Looks good, but I had a plane hit a tree about 60 feet up in the air. It took five to ten seconds to fall, hit the ground and come to a standstill. Will the beacon activate on the way to the ground, then sense impact with the ground as "movement" and deactivate? In the video it seemed to go instantly to the slow beeping mode when it impacted the ground. If that was a falling plane it may not hit the ground for another five or so seconds.
Great tool RC Escape! Thanks for the easy to understand video :) However, Beware 😡 I used the link to Banggood & received the Vifly but it was NOT Wireless Self Powered - the whole point - right? My buzzer arrived without a charging port & in it’s place, 2 wires for soldering to my drone supply!
Hi there, would you consider doing a review on a new Lost Model Beacon from Grineid Tactical Systems? Battery life is 14 hours, transmits over 1km away, the device with the battery mounted is the size of a quarter , weighing in at roughly 4 grams, apart from constantly transmitting for 14 hours straight it utilizes a hot mic that’s always on and transmits surrounding audio, as you approach the device you start to hear yourself which allows you to “call out” to your drone and hear your echo on your receiver as well as feedback from your actual receiver as you get closer, It’s honestly revolutionary. They are a Canadian company based in Ottawa, I have a few and I can send you one.

Yep!! Like DJI products or other gps or toy grade quads can surely benefit :)

These are great Pete!! I recovered my Vortex with one of these, they really work great.
Stick it on anywhere!! Put it on myself and work out for 30 hours!!! lol

Pretty awesome beeper review...Thumbs up!🖐️🤣👍

Seems to be a good product. Why is the manufacturers on board beeper so ineffective?
Excellent review very well explained! Thank you

What name merk?
I'm curious, if you land high in a tree and the wind is waving the branches, will it trigger?
due to the motion of the tree waving in the wind the motion sensor may not trigger it but the 40 minute elapsed time will trigger the alarm.
@@RCEscape That 40 minute sweating time will give you plenty of time for recriminations! 😝
No way to flash a shorter time, Pete?
