i love it so much when i find an old school classic that i never heard before. it maybe old, but new to me.
it works with albums too
It's not Old School bro but New School ;)
Old school is 70s and 80s Hip Hop (for ex: Bambaata, SugarHill Gang, Grand Master Flash)
@@peweed8412 Hell yeah! It works with jazz, soul, funk, Rock'n'roll classics too for me lol
@@dominiquesadaronne6520 i though its called golden age era but not really new school... At least all people now approach it as old school because the new shit rappers do has almost nothing in common with this lmao ... Seems like the foundation is lost, thats what they call new school
Andrew Mol man this is just good ass music today’s rap just isn’t the same it’s too flashy and it’s usually the same like “ hey look at all my money “ then they have shitty flow and just eh this tho this has a soul to it this is rap 👌🏻👌🏻 this good shit and I hella enjoy this stuff lol
Yo it's 2024 who's else is here bumpin 2 this dope track🙌❤️🔥🔥🔥
🙋♂🔥😮💨
Yo check out the Kixnare remix of this track. You will not be disappointed.
Just download this bad boy, i ll have it on repeat in the morning! Peace!

R.I.P Tame One!!! He absolutely killed this beat with witty rhymes and an incredible flow. Sad to hear the news… Rest In Peace legend 🙏🏾
Yeah respectfully so Hurricane G is being acknowledged but not Tame One. But real hip hop heads know wuz up.
That really hurts they have a service for him on here he was cremated I saw a earn but wish he wasn’t...
@@illvillain7139 truth be told I only like underground lockdown - hurricane G. But artifacts have 2 solid albums and tame ones solo albums are all gold
Listen to suede adidas, slick talkin, and eastern conference all stars
@@illvillain7139 oh yeah g i was that kid in high school in the 90's with stacks of The Source magazines in my locker and all the hip hop heads of that time would hang out with me and freestyle in front of my locker...i miss those days man
WHAT!!!???
THIS is Hip Hop!!
Hell yea no douth !
Jim Saints we can keep real hip hop alive by listening and sharing music like this hip hop is meant to be rebellious fight against the mainstream bullshit there r still headz out there that wont compromise integrity i am with you!
Mighty Wrath if you would study hip hop history on you tube instead of hating in your comments you would see hip hop started underground i.e. rebellious people stole dj equipment and tapped power lines just to get heard at the parks graffiti also is a form of rebellion so please read up before talking ignorance
Mighty Wrath k i get what your sayin but i meant rebellion as an idea not an attack on peoples taste but point taken
Jim Saints mugen!
This is what’s its all about! Soooo 90’s, the sleigh bells, boom bap base line, the sleazy trumpet! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I miss this era. I never heard of these guys. They’re skilled.
Brick City baby..... I went to school with Tame 1
“Wrong side of the tracks” was their first hit. Check it.
What!!!!!!!!!!!!! You've never heard of these Brick City Kids but you 'miss this era'? You in the *Wrong Side of Da Tracks* son!
@@VinnyLations Yup!
That's because they are from the wrong side of the tracks..
My favorite hip-hop duo. The rugged beats, both could spit, and the ACG and Polo gear they were rocking in 94🔥🔥
Love that bassline!!!!

RIP Tame One🙏 This one hurts😭
This instrumental is majestic. So much care went into it. Real hip-hop.
One of the most underrated tracks of '94.
Rest peacefully, Tame One. Had the honor of meeting him several years ago at a college show. ARTIFACTS FOR LIFE!!!
26 years later, artists like these look like titans compared to the peewee mofo's in the industry right now. I don't understand why people chase stupidity, when we have music like this.
I think it’s more a matter of that’s what’s available. Guys with skills like Artifacts would kill it today. Just look at MF Doom. Zero promotion yet so many people know him.
@@MrBojangles901 MF Doom ain't modern, he was kickin it since the 80s
To this day ,,noyone trying to battle “That’s Them “ they should do an all stars battle ..all the old heads from the way back ,, New Jerz , Bronx , Buck Town , Duck City , Yellow house , Wu , all in a neutral Borough ,, Staten Island , right over the bridge at the stadium ,, done !! Bringing the classic roots back to the lime light ..what!!!!

The golden era of true hip hop 92'-96'
May be the golden era cuz so much good stuff was happening, but still a lot of amazing stuff since 1996 for sure. 1999 was a great year in particular, and some artists even today still have that hip hop feel. Pro Era back around 2012 was fucking sick
96 tupac dies and brings hip hop with him
Look up #mcshinobi
I would say the golden era was 87-96

My attraction to old school rap was, their beats were hard! 💪
In addition;
This rap was my little brother's era, and, I remember both of us would jump in my lo lo p/u truck ,and he popped in his cassettes 😂😂😂, and cranked it up bc he loved my 15' inch mtx speaker's etc, so we'd go get some family members and go cruising to the beach or bbq etc, and these guy's always gathered up girl's, and we all be chillaxing bumping all of these rap song's... loved them day's and I have the best memories with my family members. 😊

2017 and this still sounds fresh, better than any nowadays "rap" song, and it will keep been like that no matter what.
Peace to the ones who still believe in Hip-Hop.
I think the new generation Hip Hop wouldnt live long. In my opinion its all about who could make trasher music, and at some point, people would get bored. How I see trash could be interesting for a certain time, children often observe and getting interested in destruction, spoilness, rotting, and decomposition, but after they understand the simple rule: Destructing is easier than building, the interest would lost. I think it like in art. Its harder to create something beauty than something ugly or abstract. The new school is a teenager experiment about: Whats the most disgusting and most trash thing we could make a music about.
I hope the next time would be a scratchy age with good flow hip hop, creative rhymes and also with interesting themes, just like in the OS era.
Wow! Well said, I like your perspective on that. I often contemplate this too. Why is music such garbage these days? I really think the Internet may have something to do with it too. The internet is the new A&R. Back in the day you had to be ill to be put on in any music genre, now you just put something trashy on the Internet and rebellious kids with no standards in this sad era of humanity are bound to view it en masse.
@@csatacsibe Sad to say but that's not gonna happen. Scratching took skill, good flows take skill, same with creative rhymes. The game is flooded with talentless hacks and soundcloud idiots auto-tuning their entire personas for fame because the mainstream listener has such a tiny attention span their ears need to full of random and pointless sounds constantly or they get bored. Fucking absolute cancer the music industry is now a days. Cancer doesn't die until the host does.
The golden era! Ain’t nothing like it! ✌🏾
