This was a quick car camping trip we took to the Cranberry River in the Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia. Just needed a quick getaway to play, swim and cook in the woods for a couple days. I didn't know it at the time, but this was to be my dog Chewie's final adventure. 3 weeks after the trip she became very ill and would not recover. Her death was not related to this trip. I'm very happy to have captured these final memories. She was by my side from the time she was 8 weeks old, literally day and night even while I worked. She bonded with many of my clients as well. She helped me through a very turbulent time of my life. She was fiercely loyal, well behaved, very happy and playful her entire life. She will be sorely missed. Rest in peace, my beautiful pup.
You eat well when you go camping. I hope Chewies transition was peaceful.
I don't believe I'll ever have another dog because losing them is just too difficult to deal with. I'm sorry for your loss.
Coming up on the 3 year anniversary of losing my dog, I feel the same way. Don’t really feel like I ever want to get another. Who knows though
Your sweet Chewie was almost as old as our Buster Brown. Hugs.
Yeah I took a lot of trips with my dog Buster when he got cancer in one of his feet (the 2nd time).
They gave him 6 months to live without chemo or radiation treatment before he would actually have to have something significant done to relieve the pain that would start again..I refused to put him thru that again.
So I shared all the foods he wanted that I wouldn't let him eat before he got sick that weren't good for him and I took him everywhere I couldn't let him go before, and took him everywhere I could for the next 3 months and put him down on a day when the the Sun was Shining the Birds were singing....
Nuthin will ever replace that guy.
R.I.P. Buster Brown
Alittle sad! However, Chewie did what he enjoyed doing! Rest In Peace sweet guy! What a great dog and human dad!
Thanks!
Chewie is a female.
I love your cinematography style!! It’s awesome. I’m so sorry to hear about Chewie... she seemed like a very lovely dog loved by a great human dad. May she Rest In Peace.
Thank you!
Oh no Chewie :( I'm sorry to hear that. Beautiful Dog
Thank you.
Cranberry river is my favorite place to fish I live on hinkle mountain near cherry hill country it is a very beautiful place
This is so sad I hope she had a amazing life. Seems like she did. Rip.
First, i come across chewie giving a coyote an earful and then i see her final adventure. Sad af. 😔 good job. What was that little machete ?? What brand.
RIP Chewie. That coyote probably never wants to go near your house again
The boys with dogs and collars and such are bear hunters. Thats what we do up in these hills 😉
Rip Chewie
I know this was 2 years ago but I understand your pain. And hope u heal. Had several loving furry friends that have passed away. Could barely sleep the first few nights they were gone.
i lost my dog 16 years ago. the feeling of loss still strikes me hard
