This channel is the hidden gem of RUclips.
I wouldn't mind it becoming a well known gem of youtube ;)
true true i'm glad i found this channel
I agree , i hope they don't change too much if they get a million subscribers.
I think they used to get way more views but went relatively dark for a while. Definitely a gem!
exactly just found them about a week ago
Really love that extended puff-ball scene lol
Haha, it had to be done! Cheers :) -Andrew
I love the Monongahela National Forest. The area around Davis is one of my favorite places!
I'm just going to take a moment to say that your channel is the most aesthetically pleasing thing on this earth.
Dunno if you hear that a lot or not, but I had to say it ^^
Thank you so much! That's really great to hear :)
AdventureArchives How do you know what to pack for every trip??
Most of the stuff is the same, with some variation based on weather. We'll do a video on what we pack soon!
Did Andrew major in Botany in college? So impressed by his knowledge of plants .... like a walking encyclopedia! Thank you, Andrew!!!!
I heard him say in another video he was self taught. He just wanted to learn about plants since he was always in the woods and just went for it.
A wise man once told me.. "Any coffee in the morning is good coffee"
True that!
PERFECT VIDEO N FRIENDSHIP
Love your videos. Keep them coming. Thank you
Just tuning into this channel for the first time (recommended through watching JoeRobinetbushcraft), and I'm an instant subscriber. I love the serenity, attention to imagery, and overall poetic-ness of what you guys bring. It feels like going on a hike.

Benefits of being stuck at home sick: getting to watch a whole episode in one sitting without interruption (our internet is so slow that I have to fight for bandwidth in the evening). Great video, as usual. I too have come to a trailhead at night and not being able to find the trailhead.
Haha, glad we can help you enjoy being sick a bit more! Hope you get better soon, though :) Haha, yeah, starting a trip at night and struggling to find your way is becoming a pretty familiar experience with us. Thanks for watching! -Andrew

It was an awesome diner! And WV is such a beautiful state :) Thanks for watching! -Andrew
Awesome vid guys! I truly envy you with the adventures you're just starting. Relish these memories, as I have with mine. Life and responsibility quickly make trips and new memories rapidly wane.
Thanks so much! We will definitely relish the memories. These trips outdoors are some of our fondest memories to look back on. Thanks for your comment, and thanks so much for watching! -Andrew

Thank you so much for the high praise! Glad you think this is our best! We always worry the lesser known places won't be quite as impressive, but it's good to hear you say that. Thanks for watching! -Andrew
I don't know how you guys don't have more viewers and subscribers. Seriously one of my favorite channels, these videos are my way of getting out and having adventures without going anywhere in the middle of my busy work week. The video quality, along with the music and just how genuine you guys are really makes every video enjoyable keep up the great work!
Thank you so much - that really means a lot to us! Really glad they help you escape during the work week. The videos kind of came about as a way for us to have something to watch when we wanted to escape too, haha. Again, thanks so much for the kind words, and thank you for watching! -Andrew
Not even all the way in and luv this video!!
So glad to hear that! Thanks for watching, and I hope you likd the rest of it! :) -Andrew
Can’t tell you how much I am grateful you ventured into the Monongahela National Forest. It is truly an underused gem and is my Forest Mother as it were. I have a river Camp in this area and this forest is my “back yard”!Really like your botanical observations too as there is a lot here. You will also find the Red Eft, the juvenile stage of theEastern Newt in abundance here which should tell us that this environment is extremely a healthy and thriving one. I will check out your other travels too. Thanks for a quality fun video!
The message of this trip and what you guys wrote at the end of the episode sure is timely now with this pandemic we are all fighting. glad to have re-watched this one tonight. much love guys and stay safe everyone.
the drone footages were amazing, love to see more of them. Good job guys, really enjoy your adventure videos.
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, it's always great when we can use it in the actual national forest. Thanks for watching! -Andrew
Great stuff👍
Its cool too see how much you guys love backpacking in my home state of WV. Hopefully our trails will cross one day.
They don't say wild and wonderful for nothing! That'd be great, it's always a thrill for us to meet fans. Thanks so much for watching! :) -Andrew
You guys have the best videos, by a long shot.
Thank you so much!! That means a lot to us!
thanks for another great video! it illustrate the true beauty of the world.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it :) Cheers ! -Andrew
I sooo love the background music... Its so beautiful it touches my soul.. Love AA FOR LIFE❤️❤️❤️
Hello from England. Another great video guys. Walking in woods. Perfect. No one else there. Even more perfect. Looking foward to the next one.
Thank you so much! It was definitely a great bit of solitude out there. The next episode should be up soon :) Cheers! -Andrew
The music! So good! Reminds me of Legend of Zelda. I get a good feeling watching this video. :) Beautifully done.
You guys are Awesome.
Top notch video I’m glad I found you.
Your drone was paid for at the beginning of this video, where it was able to find the road that led to the trailhead you were looking for. I love the idea of the drone. And that probably comes from a lifelong desire to fly. LOL At least in my dreams. Haha. Keep on dreaming!
I want to find Maitake in the wild so badly. Andrew, my friend, in response to one of your statements at the end sadly not all struggles pass. Some struggles people are born with, must live with, and will die with. The key is to learn to love the little things and develop hobbies that you love, but you know that.
Beautiful capture. The forest and campfire brings peace to my soul. Missing out on Country Fried Steak is just wrong. Watching you guys experiment and share food in these vids cracks me up. Hiking makes you hungry
Everyone seems to be glassing and having an amazing time!
Definitely had a great time! Thanks for watching :) -Andrew
Very nice, gentlemen. Very nice.
Thank you very much!
You guys are incredibly talented! I stumbled upon your vids when I had the flu and since then I've watched all and some 2 and 3x. I was amazed when I found out you do all the music as well. You could all become successful new age artists. It's so refreshing to watch young people enjoying nature and inspiring others to do the same. You combine my two favorites - nature and music. Also interesting to see you are "neighbors" from Columbus area as I live an hours drive north. Going to purchase a couple of your albums. I'm very selective of what I contribute to and this is so worth it!
Very nice video guys, I in joy it.👍🍃🌲
Thank you so much! Glad you liked it, and thanks for watching :D -Andrew
great video
It just so amazing and calm siting around the campfire. Thank you for your best videos.👍👍👍
using the drone was awesome use of modern tech! loved seeing it put to something practical besides getting amazing aerial shots. subscribed and becoming a big fan of your channel and will recommend to friends. I am Canadian and loved your Algonquin video.
You guys are awesome! I watched this video while treadmill running today. Tomorrow is my dad's birthday, so the part about autumn and loss really hit home. It is this loss that reminds us to be thankful - yes, for all we have, for the relationships in our lives, for the sky, the stars, the Earth; food and water, etc. Even though we lost my dad to cancer and COPD almost two years ago, I am thankful for the many years we had with him and all he taught us. And I thank you!
BTW, I did my masters at WVU - Go mountaineers - and taught dendrology in the forests around Morgantown - so this video is even more special to me. Check out Coopers Rock State Forest some time - as I remember, the biota is quite unique.
In May of 2017 I was on this trail and most of the others in the Tea Creek area. Later I stoped by the rangers station in Marlinton, WV and asked them to put this area on the trail maintence list as it really needed it. Tea Creek has some of the most challenging and beautiful trails. Happy hiking!
This was made 3 years ago and I have rewatched it about four times already. So happy to start my day drinking coffee with some relaxing scene, narration, and some bushcraft.
Well done.
I am hoping that as you young men continue on your journey through life that you always have beautiful mornings and days of adventure , that truly is the spice of life. . . not so sure about the coconut pancakes though :-)
Thank you so much for the kind words! We'll keep it up as best we can :) Haha, the coconut pancakes weren't quite what we expected them to be. Cheers! -Andrew
I love you´r videos!
I wish i had friends like you, who love hiking.
That is true wealth!
Keep on lighten up my cold winter nights!
Thanks so much for the kind words!
Fantastic! The antlers I believe were left by a sasquatch as a territory marker. You were probably being watched that night at camp.
AWESOME! I LIKE WHEN YOU USED THE DRONE .THAT WAS PRETTY COOL. THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME TAG ALONG WITH YOU GENTLEMAN. YOUR VIDEOS TAKE YA AWAY FROM WHAT'S GOING ON IN REAL TIME , LIFE. BE SAFE! HAVE FUN! SMILE! GOD BLESS YOU ALL ALWAYS! ENJOYED!
Absolutely, thank you for tagging along! Glad to hear they can help you escape for a bit :) Cheers, and thanks so much again for watching, and for your comment! -Andrew
Well done, great video!!
Thank you so much!
Thanks for helping me get through the winter, guys. The camera work on this one is exceptional. I've watched backpacking videos by others and I don't think anyone captures the essence of really being out there like you do.
Glad we could help! Thanks so much for the kind words, and thank you for watching :) Cheers! -Andrew
