Mam i am in first sem of masters in English and i was not from humanity stream so dont know how I should prepare. I have a little doubt, can you please clear it? While preparing a work, should I read only the short summary or I should prepare in depth act wise summary?
For really important works, prepare in detail. For minor works summary is enough.

There are more than 100 writers in the syllabus. I will try to make a video on this but I don't think it's possible for me to cover all the writers. But just like i talked about Christpher Marlowe in the video, you can do the same with the rest of the writers. Just writers the most important things that influenced literature. I hope this helps. For paper-2 I can't suggest a single book. Prepare from websites like Wikipedia and Britannica. For History of English literature - William J Long and also M.H.Abrams

No you don't have to read the whole novel or drama, just read the summary, note down first last line, important quotes, characters, etc.
