The thing I love about her is that she's super realistic and her tips actually make sense. Unlike other studytubers, she doesn't, what should I say aestheticify? (lol) her videos and keep them real. I have a request, can you please make a video on whether some over-hyped stationery items or digital gadgets (specifically apple products) are worth it? Thankyou!
Amy you are one of the best youtubers who films videos about studies, mindsets, and your a lifesaver for me! I have been watching your videos since a long time and never have I regretted watching ur videos
I am from India. I was one of the top students a year back, but now I have become a mediocre student. This is because they sent me to a new class with a new set of teachers. I didn't listen to the class properly and even fell asleep a lot of times. I studied just to maintain my reputation before. But now that I've lost all my reputation, how can I regain confidence in my potential and become the same person I was one year back?
honestly, the same thing happened to me last year in the midterms because I shifted schools and the new school was a disaster but by the end of this year in the annuals, I scored highest in all subjects. This happens because when you were a great bright student you had pressure to maintain that position but once that "title" falls you become like any other student. what I did was to change my mindset and by that what I did was little by little making that "title" a part of my personality. I made progress day by day and tried to avoid bad habits and made it a part of my personality. According to Atomic Habits by James Clear, to make a change in habits we need to make it a part of our identity. I didn't focus on the "97%" instead I focused on the personality which made me a "97%" student.
Amy........I am left speechless. How do you collect these exquisite academic tips. I have never ever saw anyone else giving this THIS much realistic tips..... I have been following you for quite a while and I totally see the results in my academic...
hi amy, I was wondering if you could do a video about studying at home when it's rlly...not conducive? like if your parents are yelling a lot and you can't focus, or if you have strict parents that don't let you use headphones / go out to study etc.
do this thing ig it'll work don't talk with em when you're with the books and studying stuff most problems arrive when we study from gadgets (in most cases), in either case just don't respond to them to show that you are very sincere with your study work while it may seem that this will develop more problems, parents will eventually understand your sincerity and will stop screaming in a few days after this behaviour be stubborn with studies but not to an extent where you will continue studying even when someone is having a stroke just beside you (jff)
hi im also studying from home and i dont know any classmates. what i do when i dont like my surrounding, i try to get into deep focus on what i am reading; it helps a lot. but i dont take my exams when people around are noisy.

Noteful Timestamps (For me) 4:27 Easy abbreviations 5:57 Listen to what the teacher is saying verbally to maximize notes whilst still focusing on what’s in the presentation shown. 8:00 Just listen to this.
I didn't realize I was already doing all of these... And the bit about having messy notes I relate Soo much to. Like my classmates are looking at my notes and are like "yeah you're definitely destined to be a doctor buddy"😂
i have a tip too! So if you're like me, who needs notes (especially if ur Textbook is just walls of text w like 2 huge paragraphs on one page), but at the same time writing takes too long, TYPE notes. Well first, i read the chapter, colour-coding and highlighting informantion. Then, i use notion, and just type down the highlighted stuff. For me, pink is defenitions, green is examples, blue is just important points, orange is points which i might forget, and yellow is new words.
Your videos are so different from others you seriously dont use sugar coated words but you give realistic and effective advices ... i just love your videos ❤❤
I love these so much mainly because I’ve already been doing most of them XD a side note as well: remember that your notes are for your future self. I write down the little details that others might not if I think it’ll be useful for my future self. I also like to write the date at the start of my notes for that day so that if someone else needs notes from a specific day, it’s easily accessible and I’ll know what I learned on a given day
Hello Amy! Thanks for the tips but I have some questions : How do I read comprehensions faster and answer them well? Also, how do I train myself to write, think and recall faster so that I can complete my papers faster? Also, any tips for SAT English?
My science teacher asked us to read a whole paragraph saying that it'll come for the exam... But it didn't, imagine all the hard work. And now, our teachers are telling us to read the text book because they're not gonna tell us which of the damn lessons would be coming.
My teachers do the same thing 😫😫😫 like I had my 1st term exams (in pakistan we 3 terms in each class)and my teacher told me that u have to read the summary of the topic, bc she will give us some "UNSEEN" questions! And guess what She NEVER GAVE ANY!!!!!! 😂😂😂

After last year, I am 100% getting separate copies for notes and classwork. Typically where I live so far people just use one copy per subject. I’m now entering the equivalent of American junior year (I think? I’m not good with the American school system) and the workload is much more intense. My sheer panic in exam season last year trying to differentiate between notes, classwork, and homework was certainly eye opening.

Hey Amy, I have a question, Since your handwriting is like mine "doctor's handwriting😅", doesn't it affect when it comes to writing subjective exams. Like mostly teachers expect us to write neatly but when i try to write neatly, it starts well for the first page but it takes twice the time i would have needed to write that page with my normal handwriting (i don't know if I'm clear enough here) and then after half of the exam is over my handwriting again goes back to "not so neat one" And the handwriting in the ending of the test looks different from the handwriting in the beginning of the test. Its so frustrating sometimes because some teachers say i would loose my marks in competitive exam if i keep doing this.
tho I ain't Amy, you can read me i have faced the exact situation that you've described in your comment handwriting doesn't matter provided that it's legible for most of the people while truly shabby handwriting needs to be avoided, you can try to maintain the same handwriting throughout for example, try to write at a medium pace legibly throughout the exam and about the competitive exams part, i think handwriting doesnt even matter much what matters is whether you're able to read what you've written and others shouldn't find any difficulty reading your handwriting you can improve by not changing your preferred font style throughout and managing a constant gap between two words many such examples can be given but it doesn't strike when you write your exams, so it's kinda useless to give them but i think you get the basic idea of what I'm trying to convey thank you for reading till the very end
I literally never take notes and I'm going into the 11th grade so I figured I would just give it a shot. Actually, I did take notes (barely) that the teachers required, but I never used them. I still passed though.
i love the advice!!! I constantly use the second one and just learnt about the last one I'm trying to apply the last one for my physics(i suck at physics and am seriously hoping the links will help).Your videos haven't let me down yet but what would you do if your school doesn't use technology ? thanks for all the help and advice as always !!!❤❤❤❤
I keep going back to this video because there is so much information here….question?…..I’m not in school anymore so do the high school instructors give power points lectures and have them posted on the internet 2nd…how did you take notes in a history class(high school)
I needed this video so much!!! It gets so overwhelming now that we have to make all the notes on our own. Before till secondary school we had handmade notes by the teacher and now it's a big switch to do everything from scratch on our own. Love the tips and I'm happy that I'm not the only one who writes faster than others and have ''doctor's " handwriting😅 Really appreciate your work on this video, god bless ya! 💫 Ps: your voice was amazing in the ending, really nailed the song 💅 #Ateam
First tip 1 and I become sad that I live in middle Europe and we don't use that advanced technology in school😅 (at least in most high schools, on universities its a lot more common). Anyway, thanks for video.
Hello! I’m definitely going to use your tips, thanking so much for sharing them ❤ I do have a question, just to be clear, do you not take separate notes from your textbook? Sometimes I find that there are topics that weren’t mentioned in lecture but not sure where to add them or relate to
quick question, i have my phone lock up during class, so what r the alternatives to taking a pic in class? and the teacher never gives us back the powerpoints and such
Hey Amy, do you have tips for studying although you have no tests, assignments and quizzes coming up? its really hard for me to study when I don't have upcoming tests so..
Ummm. what if youre in a strict school that DOES not allow use of phones let alone cameras. And I can barely understand my own handwriting when Im fast. What do I do?
Hi Amy, When watching your video, you had mentioned printing out the lecture slides but you were very vague with what to do after you've printed them. Like do you take them to lecture? Do you annotate them. Do you not have to write notes at all since you've already got them printed out? Like how do you implement the printed out notes into studying. I rewatched your video but you didn't really brush up on this. It sounds like an amazing idea but I printed out the lecture slides and im not really sure what to do with them/how to use them . Could you please clarify what you had meant Thank you.
Hi! I said that printing out the lecture slides will make a subsequent tip easier which is annotating. So yes, just absorb the information in class while following your printed lecture notes and annotating!
@@wamyy5 Thank you so much Amy!! I tried this today and lecture went great! I didn't have to write down long formulas since they were already printed and in front of me. Although others did stare at me like I was dumb bc. The slides were already in the modules, I didnt care bec. I had followed another tip. Which was to not be afraid to stand out in class and not worry about what other ppl thought while working in class. ☺
So not 8 hours of sleep…😂 Prof Kaplan says don’t write every word of a lecture. List for a minute or two then paraphrase in your words a sentence covering what was said. If you don’t understand, ask questions. Finally, review your notes and add additional context to your lecture notes you didn’t have time to write down before. Recording, typing, shorthand dictation are just gather words but it doesn’t lead to understanding until you put them in your own words.
note taking in one of my classes (year8) is not really good because we don't have time to write and we don't have books we can take home what would be your reply to that.
Hi Ms. Amy.....I guess I'm going to have to review this video there is a lot of do's and don'ts ...interesting ...put the page number etc. as one does their reading/research .....do you use the ipad or are you using a binder notebook I don't feel comfortable wring on the ipad.....
Hi thanks so much for the tips they're all super helpful :)) I was just wondering whether you think it would be better to type my notes on my laptop or handwrite them? This is for physics, maths and philosophy at A-level btw. Thank you!!
Love the amazing pointers especially those that target very specific situations that happen often like blind copying! Asides from that I'd like to ask for some tips on how to study for Biology, as it is a content heavy subject I sometimes struggle to memorise key phrases/concepts or link the topics that I have learnt. Would appreciate the help alot 😭 especially because this year I'm taking my graduation exam and the panic is starting to settle in 🥲
I have increased my writing and listening skills over the years. Here is how it is helpful: Creating neat, organised notes which I can refer to later. Quickly writing down all the points my teacher said were important. Following along the given examples by the teachers 🫶🏻✨
Very great video !!! but I am very confused since my other idol (1st one is Amy) Ali Abdaal explained in his how to study masterclass that active recall and spaced repetition are the best methods of studying instead of writing notes, highlighting or re-reading the content, can anyone plz help me to decide which one is really essential sine I am in my most important academic year just now and would appreciate your kind gesture Ali also provided scientific proofs for proving this so if possible also provide a scientific proof😅

Hey Amy,
I have a question,
Since your handwriting is like mine "doctor's handwriting😅", doesn't it affect when it comes to writing subjective exams.
Its so frustrating sometimes because some teachers say i would loose my marks in competitive exam if i keep doing this.
tho I ain't Amy, you can read me
i have faced the exact situation that you've described in your comment
handwriting doesn't matter provided that it's legible for most of the people
while truly shabby handwriting needs to be avoided, you can try to maintain the same handwriting throughout
for example, try to write at a medium pace legibly throughout the exam
and about the competitive exams part,
i think handwriting doesnt even matter much
what matters is whether you're able to read what you've written and others shouldn't find any difficulty reading your handwriting
you can improve by not changing your preferred font style throughout and managing a constant gap between two words
many such examples can be given but it doesn't strike when you write your exams, so it's kinda useless to give them
but i think you get the basic idea of what I'm trying to convey
thank you for reading till the very end
Thanks for the tip, I'll try it out in my next test!
I literally never take notes and I'm going into the 11th grade so I figured I would just give it a shot. Actually, I did take notes (barely) that the teachers required, but I never used them. I still passed though.
I laughed so hard at the 'jumping into homework' meme, perfect little brain break amongst the info sifting and made me cackle
i love the advice!!!
I keep going back to this video because there is so much information here….question?…..I’m not in school anymore so do the high school instructors give power points lectures and have them posted on the internet
2nd…how did you take notes in a history class(high school)
I needed this video so much!!!
It gets so overwhelming now that we have to make all the notes on our own. Before till secondary school we had handmade notes by the teacher and now it's a big switch to do everything from scratch on our own.
Love the tips and I'm happy that I'm not the only one who writes faster than others and have ''doctor's " handwriting😅
Really appreciate your work on this video, god bless ya! 💫
Ps: your voice was amazing in the ending, really nailed the song 💅
#Ateam
Awww thanks so much for your kind words!! Cool you also write fast haha. Glad you liked my voice! Much love ❤
@@wamyy5 ☺💜💫
First tip 1 and I become sad that I live in middle Europe and we don't use that advanced technology in school😅 (at least in most high schools, on universities its a lot more common).
Anyway, thanks for video.
Hello! I’m definitely going to use your tips, thanking so much for sharing them ❤ I do have a question, just to be clear, do you not take separate notes from your textbook? Sometimes I find that there are topics that weren’t mentioned in lecture but not sure where to add them or relate to
Do share some tips for students preparing for competitive exams.
Fun fact: doctors' bad handwriting is actually a form of shorthand called "Gregg shorthand."
Which camera do you use and app for editing?
LMAO RJ just laying there at the beginning hehee
is it useful to take notes on the iPad or is it better on paper?
quick question, i have my phone lock up during class, so what r the alternatives to taking a pic in class? and the teacher never gives us back the powerpoints and such
hey love your videos they have really helped me in school!
but.. pretty notes :(
u still can make useful and pretty notes 💗
Write your notes then when you have time or go home, rewrite better and prettier
you can still do pretty aesthetic notes dw!!👍
the best ever ❤
Awesome awesome video! Thank you!
1:55 I was gonna say what if the pretty parts of my notes is color coding 🥺
Hey Amy, do you have tips for studying although you have no tests, assignments and quizzes coming up? its really hard for me to study when I don't have upcoming tests so..
Hey Amy, I have a question:
If your teachers say that the ppt will not be available for us, what is the alternative?
Thank you so much amy, you're a life saver. Love from india
Much love
Ummm. what if youre in a strict school that DOES not allow use of phones let alone cameras. And I can barely understand my own handwriting when Im fast. What do I do?
i feel like @wAmy and @Ruff are the 2 legends who gives us more productive and efficient study tip..btw i really needed this video
Hi Amy,
When watching your video, you had mentioned printing out the lecture slides but you were very vague with what to do after you've printed them. Could you please clarify what you had meant
Thank you.
That's amazing!! SO happy for you!@@ねえ聞いてよ
So not 8 hours of sleep…😂
Prof Kaplan says don’t write every word of a lecture.
For me making it pretty motivates me to study it lol
Digital note or hand written note which is better 🤔🤔 anyone tell me
But how to make notes seeing from the book
Hi thanks so much for the tips they're all super helpful :)) I was just wondering whether you think it would be better to type my notes on my laptop or handwrite them? This is for physics, maths and philosophy at A-level btw. Thank you!!

Love you Amy❤ You're the best :)
Love the amazing pointers especially those that target very specific situations that happen often like blind copying! Asides from that I'd like to ask for some tips on how to study for Biology, as it is a content heavy subject I sometimes struggle to memorise key phrases/concepts or link the topics that I have learnt. Would appreciate the help alot 😭 especially because this year I'm taking my graduation exam and the panic is starting to settle in 🥲
Can you make a video on how you made sure to stick to 8 hours of sleep?
Thank you sm💗💗🎀🎀

How many hours a day do you usually study?
I have increased my writing and listening skills over the years. Here is how it is helpful:
Creating neat, organised notes which I can refer to later.
Quickly writing down all the points my teacher said were important.
Following along the given examples by the teachers
🫶🏻✨
thank you 👍
Where's the PowerPoint link for this vid? I'm trying to take effective notes
oops I typed this before watching 2:10
Very great video !!! but I am very confused since my other idol (1st one is Amy) Ali Abdaal explained in his how to study masterclass that active recall and spaced repetition are the best methods of studying instead of writing notes, highlighting or re-reading the content, can anyone plz help me to decide which one is really essential sine I am in my most important academic year just now and would appreciate your kind gesture Ali also provided scientific proofs for proving this so if possible also provide a scientific proof😅
what a nice video
No doubt, it and excellent video
Hi Amy your videos are so helpful
Amy can u pl give me tips on how to study many subjects at once , ( I have 10 )❤❤❤
