TOP 3 TIPS FROM AMY WHICH HELPED ME TO LEVEL UP MY STUDIES #1 Quality > Quantity : So basically let me explain with an example , in my previous year ( grade 9 ) our math sir once asked us that how many questions do we practice every day and to that one boy replied that he practices 50 qs but not regularly (and he was cramming those questions also) but there I was doing 20 qs everyday with a clear understanding . When our final math's exam result came out I was shocked to see that I was the one who the highest marks 96/100 and that boy got like 62 or something . This means you need to focus on efficiently understanding a chapter instead of completing that chapter in a rush . #2 Practice : Trust me instead of reading notes and chapter 2 to 3 times , do questions ! . Like get a question paper of that chapter and try to solve them after watching any summary video or quickly skim though the chapter and if you suck in a question or you have no idea about the answer then .... open your book and read that particular topic though which the question is related . Eventually you will read that chapter indirectly . #3 Your actions depends on your mindset : If you want straight As the simple thing you need to do is to change every thing from WANT to DO ( present time ) . Like from I WANT STRAIGHT As to I AM A STRAIGHT A STUDENT this small change in mindset will make a drastic improvement because now your mind will support your actions to get those marks . THESE TIPS WERE USED MY ME AND HELPED ME A LOT SO I THINK THESE TIPS WILL HELP YOU TOO :)
This is absolutely amazing! Thank you for sharing your learnings - you set an admirable example of taking action upon learning tips and making them your own. Keep crushing it! 🔥🔥🔥
notes for myself: EFFICIENCY is key 🗝 -if u stay focused, it will be easier to cram in a shorter period -skim all topics on exam -understand why you do things -Prioritize the things u need most actions on (find weaknesses) - do practice Qs and do questions done in class again - DO NOT SACRIFICE SLEEP
i just found out a new method. The thing is, I think too much and create different fake scenarios in my hear. I just created a scenario that a teacher is quizzing me and I'm giving her answers. I asked all of the questions related to what my exam is going to be about and i am remembering all of them. I guess this techniue is only for those people who think about pointless stuff or scenarios all the time, it really worked for me and I'm happy my preps are good for tomorrow's exam. I am not sure whether this will work for others as well but if it does then it'll make me happy to be able to help. (I know this method is a bit weird)
You just posted this video at THE most perfect timing! I honestly love how much emphasis you put on having the correct mindset. Thanks for another great video, Amy.
Yay! Super happy you appreciate the mindset advice :) I truly believe the right mindset can be more powerful than other resources! Thank you for your kind words and for watching!
I literally *just* got the notification for this after arriving back from the first of my finals, for which I ended up cramming the full syllabus into a fourteen hour study session directly preceeding it, fueled by zero sleep, three cans of energy drinks, and desperation. The timing is so perfect.
Amy is like a personal trainer for acadamia. Just in the month or so I've been watching her my studying habits have changed the game entirely. Thank you so much for such quality content!
Hi Amy!I just want to start off by saying thank you.I had my terms last month and I scored well just because of you.I had sustained a serious injury(a cut on my leg,I got 12 stitches)Because of which I couldn't go to school for 2 and half months and I had missed a whole semester. My parents thought I might have to repeat my grade because of how much I had missed and so did I,but you gave me faith and helped me.I scored second highest on my social science term and I scored third highest in the grade on my science test.Basically I passed with a distinction on 3 subjects because of your videos.Your an inspiration!
OMG I needed this! I was literally studying till I saw the amount of things I needed to know that I didn't study and my exams are tomorrow! Till now I do see an improvement thanks to your tips: just skimmed through my notes, I focus on parts I don't know, read the summaries to win time and then do some practice questions (mostly focus on that part). I also tried quizzes with chatgpt, very helpful!!
Amy Im saying this again but you are a QUEEN! and indeed like someone said an efficiency queen! Thank you for the efforts you take to make these videos for us. They are EXTREAMLY helpful! ❤
thank you so much for your useful and applicable tips, esp the part about getting enough sleep. it's even worse when I traded off my sleep cuz it negatively affects the stability of my mental health, leading to bad performance during tests

hey Amy, it's your new subscriber here and I really love your videos they're helping me so much to study regularly and I'm definitely gonna use these exam tips and get the best result
focus is MOST important! - learning is struggling. if you are merely passively glossing over info, you're not being efficient or focused. 1. get the big idea - chapter summaries - so what? 2. prioritise concepts with highest % - check with syllabus, teachers, friends who have taken the exam, seniors (past year papers) 3. practice problems (hw, active recall) - parallel recall to speed up studying by reading & looking away to recall in your own words 4. target weaknesses - past work & mistakes 5. dont sacrifice sleep - even if you have not finished covering everything!
Hey Amy! Hope youre doing well. I js want to say how amazing you looked in this video. I currently have to study 4 Units for a final science test in 1 day so its not looking too good.- plus no motivations and procrastination. . Your point on overdelivering is something I've been using for so long! However you have to be careful when doing it because 1 wrong point will make the whole answer wrong (especially in science) .Prioritizing what you know and don't is essential! why would you study something you know over something you don't. To do this reading your syllabus is the easiest way (like Amy said) .Understanding key concepts and why you do something is so important. On tests questions are based on your understanding. It's not like they're going to ask what the formula for resistance is, they will give you information and ask you to work out the resistance. Personally, this makes memorizing and remembering so much easier .Practice problems are AMAZING. Ive been doing a few past papers and its really helped me find out how you should answer a question. (marking schemes are tough!) Phew! All that writing is giving me motivation to study. just a few more tests before summer break!
Amy is that special person in my life who helped me in my hard times and motivated me when i was just tired of everything and almost had given up you're the best thank you Amy

Amy, I have facing a mental breakdown and grief for awhile. And Idk what step to take next? I cry everytime . Writing is my passion but it distracts me from my priority study. Help me out dear Amy, I have nobody to share my emotions with.
Summery: Loading............ How to cram for exam the BEST way: Efficiency is the key Steps: 1. Get the big picture : Instead of reading every detail, take advantage of your notes or chapter summaries 2. Prioritize: According to the syllabus and suggestions from friends who gave the test before, prioritize your chapters and study the top ones first following the actions 3 and 4 3. Target Practice Problems 4. Target weakness 5. Don't sacrifice sleep
Read this if you just finished the vid or came back in the future to just check the points again. 1. top priority is to be efficient. 2. Maximise the output, minimise the input. 3. Be calm and composed under the high stress situations. Know that you're in control. 4. Control your focus. It is what decides the intensity of your study. 5. Goal - maximising the points you get. steps- 1. Get the big picture. Don't panic. Perform a shallow skim of your syllabus. Use chapter summaries. Grasp the connections of the topics that you do end up remembering, instead of arbitrary facts. Understand the reason for every step when it comes to science and math. Always know "why" you did something whenever you do. 2. Prioritise. 1. Use your syll., a friend who took the test bef. you, your senpai, your teachers etc. 2. Make the list then. Work down the priority list. 3. Target practice problems. You don't have enough time to know all the unnecessary details. Review and redo Qs of the particular topics. Notes should be the supplement, and the Qs should be leading your study. 4. Work on your weaknesses. It's easier to gather more mediocre level in stuff you don't know than trying to perfect the stuff you do already know. And you don't have time to be a perfectionist. Address as many weaknesses as you can, without spending too much time on them. 5. Don't sacrifice your freaking sleep. It will just make your study less effective, and you'll probably suffer by NOT being in the best condition for the test. Strike the balance b/w staying up late and giving enough rest to your brain. 6. Take a deep breath, and remind yourself that it's just one test. 7. Right now go study, close youtube.

3. Be calm and composed under the high stress situations. Know that you're in control.
4. Control your focus. It is what decides the intensity of your study.
5. Goal - maximising the points you get. steps-
