It's English literature by William J. Long. One of my university professors told me to get the book in the first semester. He told me that it is the Bible for those who want to crack the net exam. The book is a very easy to read piece. I have made quite a lot of notes from this during my masters.
The other book she talked about is 'A Glossary of Literary terms' by MH Abrams. It was also suggested to me by the same professor I mentioned earlier...
