@@deeptibhardwaj9814 I started with British history studying Daiches and taking notes, but was not limited to the book, looked up authors online and read their biography thoroughly, made self compiled online notes of their important works as i came across different periods. These included all major philosophical +critical summaries. This made my base very clear. Then I did criticism, I did not go for any particular book but went online and read about each new movement and took points of important texts, authors, and had an basic understanding. For American just read a 30-40 page summary on Brittannica Encyclopedia. Here again looked up summaries of important texts. I did not get much time to study Indian literature and Cultural Studies. I was not sure about clearing the exam even NET in the first go, but as my basics were clear and I found Paper 1 very easy, I was surprised at getting jrf in the first go, got 41/50 in the first paper and 59/100 in the second. In the end it all boils down to how polished are your basics. Study systematically, don't rush into things, and make thorough notes with good pointers, most easily pick up content online and paste it on Word and convert it to a pdf and revise it anytime. Good luck for your next attempt.
@@deeptibhardwaj9814 authors are not limited, there are lots of them. But when you will prepare period wise there are 2-3 very important ones every now and then.
For paper - l, Go for a standard book that is - KVS Madaan book by Pearson publication, it's the best with Pyqs ( previous year questions) after each unit & 10 years questions at the end of the book. For paper - ll - standard books are - Routledge, Edward Albee, Andrew sanders etc. Apart from that if you can afford 6-7k for courses then there are courses available of Vineet Pandey, Arpita Karwa, Kalyani Vlaath & all have their RUclips channels and online courses.

She didn't answer, let me do it. Since your last name is Chakravarthy, I assume you are general. You will have to score at least 60 percent marks in order to ascertain clearance. For the general paper, you will have to prepare for things in your own way. As for the English paper (paper ii), remember three things: 1. Every aspect of world literature - from the classics to the postmodern. 2. Theory, criticism and research ate to be thoroughly studied. 3. Unknown works or lesser know works of the greatest writers. May God bless you brother.
