Your demeanour is so lovely in your interaction with Sophia. Plus she is so clever. I am pleased to have found your video as I am considering adopting a 35 year old male Miligold Macaw.
Hi Craig - you won't remember me but we met at the last Parrot show - I just had Tiki my OWA then Last year I took on a 2yr old MM - Sid!! WOW!! What a difference!! He is full on entertainment for me and Tiki!! He has fallen in love with Sofia!! Head-bobbing constantly at the screen when I showed it to him earlier! His recall and training is coming on leaps and bounds!! Highly intelligent birds so needs constant interaction! His biting and beak pressure is still horrendous - he seems to send out mixed messages - or am I being super thick? His previous owners moved to Spain and didn't want to take him - I kinda see why - he has toys galore and me at home with him all day but can demolish furniture, remotes, crochet hooks, pens in the time it takes for me to go for a wee!! But I adore him!! And can't imagine our lives without him now!! If Parrot Show ever returns I hope we get to meet again and I have every intention of taking Sid this time - he loves going out and meeting people! Btw - love all your videos - keep up the great work!! xx
That was bloody brilliant, you made those steps so logical and easy for someone like me (whose new to birds) to have a go at. Any more trick trading tips would be brilliant to learn from you.
CRAIGS CRAZY FLOCK for sure! So I have a random parrot question. Not sure if I can just ask here. My best friend has a caique parrot, which was obsessed w sitting on my shoulder for long periods of time, but would just suddenly, after and hour or so, while watching a movie, just randomly snap at me (my face). What could cause this? I’m now terrified of his bird.
Great question which would need some time to talk through all the factors sadly this isn’t the place to do that, we could set something up via instagram!
I love seeing your birds free flying and hope I can achieve this with my bird, I messaged you on Instagram to see if you could help me reach my goal. Keep up with the great videos and I love watching them ❤️
I bought a blue and gold macaw who is a bit aggressive. I have been doing target training. How long should I do it, before using the target training to teach him to step up? He always goes to bite my hand.
@@craigscrazyflock3810 like a lot! :D ... Got her last December from an avairy so she still a little wild.. she one clever chicken, brave, bold and a tad mental! Making progress but takes time when they half wild.
Hi Craig!!! Can you please please do a video or send me something that helps me train my military macaw to not bite before stepping up. He’s not drawing blood but is bruising me everywhere and my fingers can’t take it 🥵 I’ll pay for the information or video.
“You do not tell a bird, you ask it” ❤️
I love how you interact with you birds.
Like a toddler, or any human: Sophia is inquisitive, and she wants to learn. 😀
Amazing 👏

Beautiful Sophia 😍
You are so gentle and kind with your birds. Much love.
This melts my heart!
Another great video, keeping it simple , thanks Craig 👍😊
Thanks Gordon !

I’m so glad you found it easy to follow!
@@craigscrazyflock3810 Totally agree - seems so simple. Would love to learn how to teach mine some more tricks!
Had me 2 yr old B & G “Lieu Lieu Ling” for a week now. Looking forward to getting started with some of your training tips very soon.
Afraid of birds, but love them from afar so much anyhow. Thankful for other fellow animal people. You’re an angel 💜
I’m so glad you can enjoy them from a distance

So precious! 🥰
Sophia IS a clever girl. And so lovely.
Like the waving
How did you teach her how to free fly?
Another great informative video,, the things you say sound so obvious now, so thank you, and keep up the great work.
I’m so glad this helps!
Thank you, this was really helpful
thank you once again.
The bird is of class, therefore you must ask it. Please and thank you. Love from Las Vegas!
That was very interestig to see, even though i don't have nor want any animal at home.
What do u feed ur military please
Genius!
You have great channel and great Instagram. 😍😍😍😍😍😍
can you please tell me that, from where did you re-homed the blue and gold macaw?
I just wonder what's that sound when she touches the stick?

I had one but won't get close to me
Summary of what I learned; Don't tell Military Macaws what to do, ask politely.
May i ask how rare are military macaws ?
The are endangered
i need help with my macaw, he's moody!. once he gets the treat he goes off to his cage... so training lasts about 20 seconds
good vid...how old is she?... my military girl is 3 and a brat! going into maturity :/
MickMac 72 she’s two. Ah she sounds like she needs a little extra training.

Yes it’s a little different to silly tame, I fly several parent reared birds that were fully wild to start! They make the best birds I swear!
@@craigscrazyflock3810 yeah I'd agree 100%.. harder work to begin with but a much more confident bird.

Awesome video! Sophia is gorgeous.
The music is distracting though to be honest.
I agree.
