Your demeanour is so lovely in your interaction with Sophia. Plus she is so clever. I am pleased to have found your video as I am considering adopting a 35 year old male Miligold Macaw.

Hi Craig - you won't remember me but we met at the last Parrot show - I just had Tiki my OWA then Last year I took on a 2yr old MM - Sid!! WOW!! What a difference!! He is full on entertainment for me and Tiki!! He has fallen in love with Sofia!! Head-bobbing constantly at the screen when I showed it to him earlier! His recall and training is coming on leaps and bounds!! Highly intelligent birds so needs constant interaction! His biting and beak pressure is still horrendous - he seems to send out mixed messages - or am I being super thick? His previous owners moved to Spain and didn't want to take him - I kinda see why - he has toys galore and me at home with him all day but can demolish furniture, remotes, crochet hooks, pens in the time it takes for me to go for a wee!! But I adore him!! And can't imagine our lives without him now!! If Parrot Show ever returns I hope we get to meet again and I have every intention of taking Sid this time - he loves going out and meeting people! Btw - love all your videos - keep up the great work!! xx

That was bloody brilliant, you made those steps so logical and easy for someone like me (whose new to birds) to have a go at. Any more trick trading tips would be brilliant to learn from you.

CRAIGS CRAZY FLOCK for sure! So I have a random parrot question. Not sure if I can just ask here. My best friend has a caique parrot, which was obsessed w sitting on my shoulder for long periods of time, but would just suddenly, after and hour or so, while watching a movie, just randomly snap at me (my face). What could cause this? I’m now terrified of his bird.

Great question which would need some time to talk through all the factors sadly this isn’t the place to do that, we could set something up via instagram!

I bought a blue and gold macaw who is a bit aggressive. I have been doing target training. How long should I do it, before using the target training to teach him to step up? He always goes to bite my hand.

Hi Craig!!! Can you please please do a video or send me something that helps me train my military macaw to not bite before stepping up. He’s not drawing blood but is bruising me everywhere and my fingers can’t take it 🥵 I’ll pay for the information or video.
