The hum isn’t bad but some rooms make it worse than others. The BOSS NS1X Noise Suppressor fixes that. Then you don’t have to worry about it. I think any true single coil will make hum in certain environments so a noise suppressor really helps.
@@tzmathew I have the bridge pickup very close to the strings. The middle pickup is backed off a little more than the bridge. The neck pickup is flush with the pickguard. :)
@ I thought your neck pick-up sounded amazing. Was wondering how low you’ve kept them. Have to lower mine and try. I have pure vintage in my neck and middle now. City limits bridge. I think I’m finally happy with my strat pickups wise.
I love them. They have a lot of clarity but still have bottom end and punch. They are more vintage style so not hot output. I prefer them to most everything else I have tried (aside from Suhr ML) and they are cheap. $100 for a whole set.
@@chrislestermusic cool thanks a lot. I have city limits set in my strat which are overwound and run hotter... I wanted more vintage voiced pickups. Also considered the classic blues and surfari sets but most likely going to go ahead with these. Might keep the city limits bridge pickup as it sounds really nice with overdrive and I barely use the bridge for cleans.
This strato + amp or whatever you use sound really amazing. Absolute amazing.
Wow! Thank you VERY much! It was the strat into my Bogner Atma into the 1x12 Bogner cab. Plus my pedalboard.
@@chrislestermusic It reminds me a lot the sound of Chris Impelliteri.
They sound pretty nice in my opinion!! Would be nice to hear them in clean tones :)
Imho edge of breakup like this clip is where they show their true character i found most quality
Strat pickups sound very similar clean.
You make it all look so easy! I know better 😂
Sounds fantastic!
Thank you! That’s really kind of you to say.
I have city limits but i want replace it with this , is this humming loud like the city limits or snce thi is not overwound the hum will be miniml??

Are these good pickups ? How would you compare them to others you've tried ?

@@tzmathew The city limits bridge pickup is the best bridge pickup ever wound !
You just hear them. They sound absolutely amazing. What else do you need to know :)
@@predigr I just put s set of PVs in a Japanese 62 reissue strat and they sound fantastic !
