We love our 2023 GeoPro 20BHS. Keyless entry is a must for us. They shouldn’t have cheaped out on that feature for 2024. The real reason for doing away with it is probably more to do with a supply problem. The bathroom sink should just be done away with altogether. We never use the tub sink in our 23 model. That wall sink is going to be a source of smells, leaks and other problems later. Time will tell as far as those stabilizers go.
Not a fan of the bathroom sink. Personally, I think if you have a family, maybe the rockwood mini lites are more suitable. The Geo is a great product for a couple. Without the bunks, they could expand the bathroom across the whole rear of the rig and perhaps add a pantry next to the dining table.
Agreed. I love the Minii Lite, it's heavy though. Load it up, you're looking at 900 lbs on the tongue. Put 3-4 people in the truck. You need a 250 or 2500 to pull it.
I keep looking for a model like that. Take out the bunks, expand the bathroom, add a pantry and a bigger kitchen sink! What can you wash in these little sinks?!?!
I am thinking of trading my 22 CanAm Spyder RT Limited on one. I bought the trike, now my wife can't ride (cancer) and I figure we can travel together in the SUV and see some stuff. I don't think we would ever use the sink in the bathroom. The rest is awesome and for sure this is the model I would buy.
I like the sink and the other updates. The old sink looked awakard to reach now at least you have more shower space now. For me, I don't think I would use the bathroom sink!!
I have installed battery and inverter upgrades in both of my motorhomes and thinking of downsizing to a geo pro. The power package is expensive but thats what I have done to my other RV's so I am definitely considering a move.
NOTE: The 2024 Geo Pros WILL be built with AZDEL. There have been a few questions about this due to some of the graphics not using the AZDEL name specifically, but on the unit there is a sticker indicating walls are made from AZDEL. And factory rep has confirmed this as well.
Thanks for doing this. Nice details. Looks like it's build better than other brands this size. Will the inverter run the microwave? I know it won't run AC
Thank you! The standard inverter will not run the microwave. If you were to upgrade it with the Power Package option (3000watt inverter, lithium battery, soft start AC, 3-200w solar panels) it could run the microwave and AC. It’s a pricey option adding about $8000 to the price, but it makes it a true boondocker.
Nice. I wish they would build a double oversized bunk. Good idea to order two solar panels. 👍. Power package is nice but pricey. Not a fan of the sink.
I like the idea of murphy style sink but it is too shallow and the faucet is too high so it will make lots of splashes on the floor if you are not careful. Downgrading the door lock from keyless to regular is a bummer instead of fixing whatever the issue was. Anyway looking to get the 2023 instead but great walkaround and comparison, you speak very clearly and to the point, thank you.
We had a customer order the 19FBTH just at the end of their run. It was also the first of that model we had at our dealership, which explains why they decided to discontinue. It’s a pretty awesome floorplan, but Rockwood has high expectations for their units in terms of numbers sold. Perhaps we will see another toy hauler Rockwood in the future.
@@RousseausRVWalkthroughs It *might* make more sense to do one in the Mini Light series than Geo Pro, or some hybrid between the two. Lots of people noted that the cargo space only allows the smallest of ATVs, while another 4-6 inches of width would accommodate far more. Additionally, single-axle trailers tend to be tongue-heavy, and toy haulers when empty are also tongue-heavy, so the hitch weight of this model empty is pretty nuts compared to the trailer weight and pops you up like two classes of needed tow vehicle. If making it dual axle could bring hitch weight back down to what vehicles with 5,000-6,000 pound tow ratings can handle that would help a lot. Besides the ATV crowd a lot of people use a small toy hauler for stuff that’s NOT heavy, so having the balance all set up for heavy cargo is actually quite limiting. (I just want the space for dogs, and they ride in the car in-transit, so it’s just empty crates back there.) It was also always dumb that they didn’t include any sort of ramp patio setup on this one - at some point I’ll need to build my own.
Where did the Azdel walls go????? Will this new “composite” still prevent delamination???? I saw so many campers this summer suffering from delamination.
Yes, I wish the dinette area didn’t have a rug. Our first trip out, our grandson spilled a full cup of chocolate milk all over the table, cushions and rug. Non-absorbent floor would have made for easier clean up.

I do not trust Lippert to make anything well. I'm certain the stabilizers will fail early and fast with no support! Forgetting codes on the entry door? That is rubbish! The door handle started to bind after very little time. I'm glad they went back to any old proven design. I have never downloaded the WERV app 2.5rating? That binder is an awesome idea for older peeps like myself! I know my comment seems like I am a "debbie downer", however, I do like how Rockwood's thought process. On this rig, and their previous ones. I have a 2023FDS. My biggest complaint is with Lippert! Lippert is a company too large to care! I would strongly suggest an RV buyer to look at RV's that don't use Lippert components for everything.
For years Lippert has been growing and growing and having more of a presence in the RV industry as a whole. My dad, when he was in this industry a few years back, shared many of your sentiments about the company. I’m hopeful that Rockwood did their homework with these jacks and all components they decide to add to their products.
The stabilizer jacks broke on day 1 on my 2024 20BH. The releases didn’t engage fully. Setting the jacks down with a full turn of the screw sheared the releases.
The sink in the bathroom is dumb. You don't need a sink in the little bathroom. If you made that big of a mess on the toilet you can use the shower. I think the sink in the bathroom is another leak point!
Nice video Dave. Here's our take having just bought the 2023 version of this camper from you just about a week or two ago. The Pros: I gotta say I like the smart TV replacement and better antenna! My wife was just commenting that she'd like to be able to watch Netflix, but can't. The extra solar panel and slider awning is a plus. We like those on ours. My wife likes that new external sprayer vs. shower nozzle. I like the one handed slam latch much better than the old system that you need to have both hands free to use while leaning in on the door to lock it. I know what you mean about the factory scissor jacks too. I just finished replacing the factory 2500 lb. capacity stabilizer on our Geo Pro with a 6500 lb. set (for longevity), as I heard they don't last long as well. Are those new quick drop stabilizers any lighter than a 6500 lb. capacity scissor jack or longer lasting (rust-wise) than the factory scissor jacks mine came with? I guess time will tell. Hit or Miss: I wish our 2023 came with the larger inverter they offer now too, but since we're on shore power mostly, we're just fine. Losing the keyless entry is not a big deal, but we like ours and have had no issues with it thus far. We just make sure we have a key outside the camper in case the lock batteries die when we're locked out. The jury is still out on the magnetic cabinet door holders. Unless they're earth magnets, I'm not sure they'll hold shut as well as the previous spring roller holders. The Cons: As for the bathroom change, my wife still prefers the shower sink over that new retractable wall sink. The shower sink makes for a good spot to keep shampoo bottles in transit without fear of falling. We like the idea of a sink above the tub. It makes cleaning up after messy grandkids much easier. The new sink looks to be too much work to use and possibly harder to work on if you needed to. It kind of looks out of place and takes away from the clean and roomy feel that the 2023 model bathroom has. When I saw the video for the first time, for a moment, I thought it was a baby-changing station. Also, as a general rule, I tend to shy away from things with extra moving parts. Just more things to wear out/break. It also takes the spot we chose to put the TP holder. Wishlist for next model year: Add two electrical receptacles on the dinette wall like they do for the bunk beds. One above the table and one below. We had to run a power strip with a 10' cord running behind the cushions to the master headboard pop-up power receptacle to run our dinette tabletop appliances (toaster, Mini-Keurig, laptop, etc.). Offer an option to replace the oven with an air fryer. Move the roof access ladder 6" further to the middle of the camper so our RHINO Tote Tank doesn't block the tail light on the left side when traveling with it mounted on the ladder. We're off on our first trip out of state with our new camper tomorrow. Wish us luck.
Hope you have a great trip, Scott! I appreciate your perspective and input on the model change. I also first thought it was a changing station in the bathroom! I’m curious to see what the general response to that change will be over time. Let us know how the trip goes. Happy Camping!
