Picking mine up on 3/15. Looking forward to getting it on the road. We downsized from a larger 5th wheel to accommodate more state and national parks, Ordered almost every option. Towing with a 3/4 ton due to the hitch weight of the front kitchen. Great review.
Wise move. I just don't think a half-ton can handle it.
We have the 2019 2608bs and love it. One thing I noticed is they removed the cabinet over the dining table on the newer units. Big mistake! Those cabinets are very useful. They did add a cabinet in the bathroom between the wall and shower. Very small space due to the angle but handy for a little rolled up linen or small objects. On the downside of putting that cabinet in is you lose that spot for a toilet paper dispenser, towel hooks, broom and mop hooks.
The perfect camper!
Happy Holidays, Dave. My best to everyone there. Very nice unit.
Question: where's the traffic? Did you guys move? It's so quiet.
Thank you, Glen! Happy Holidays to you as well. I think I just hit it at the right time of day for reduced traffic.
Had a few delays (2 posts) 4/18 is delivery and we did order every option but the thermal pane windows I didn’t see the benefit for the pricing of that package.
Great review, I pick up ours next week 👍🏻
We pick up ours on 7/29!!
Great floor plan for sure. Just wish it had an aluminum roof that could be easily patched if damaged.
If I wanted to put Li-Ion batteries inside somewhere… where would they go?
For the most part, what more could you ask for?
I hate then heat registers in the middle of the floor☹️
What is the hitch weight would that be important to know
It is 950 lbs, so when adding a weight distribution system we'd recommend 1000 lb rated bars.
I don't think a half-ton can handle it.
And is this 4 seasons able?
Rockwood doesn’t make the claim of 4 seasons, but with the enclosed underbelly and heated holding tanks it is better suited than many travel trailers on the market. They would call it an extended 3 season.
good answer 3 seasons if your using it above the Mason Dixie line.
I’m about to buy an F-150 2.7L which is tow rated at 9,000lbs….
And I want this trailer. Is it safe to do?
9000lbs is above the GVWR of this trailer so you would be safe with that vehicle, even if fully loaded. Most likely, you would be closer to 7500lbs (600-800lbs of cargo) when towing.
@@RousseausRVWalkthroughs thanks. I think I also need to incorporate everything that’s in the truck too (payload), including people within that 9,000…that’s correct yes? And then hitch weight too…
I would recommend researching that truck configuration. This model is heavy tongue weight. We have the 2021 model year and pull with a 2018 F150 3.5 EB with Max Tow. It’s a lot of trailer for a 150. You run out of payload quickly
It’s a great trailer btw. We love ours
@@aronk7412 yes thanks. I’ve decided not to go the 2.7L route and am going to use a hybrid 3.5L power boost. I was uncomfortable with the slim margin between load and capacity on the tow.
And thanks re the trailer comment. I’m looking forward to having it!
No drawers in the kitchen?
They’re inside the cabinet doors
If you order this unit get every option available. You will not regret it.
...except the gas/electric frig. with the dual solar panels and dual batteries you will be fine with the 12VDC frig.
@@oldsalt8011That depends on how and where you are going to use your trailer. Even with the solar panels and dual batteries you will be pushing it, not to mention if you are not gettin full sun all day for your solar panels. I have that same trailer but mine is a 2022 and I am glad that I have my gas/electric fridge.
Great to have the dual option, specially when off grid.
I love our trailer, the floor plan is awesome, specially having the double doors and being able to access the fridge and bathroom with the slides closed.
@@cheo4201 I can agree with that. We did not opt for gas/electric frig. Im not sure that I saw it as an option. I have been pretty impressed how well they 12VDC has worked. When I ordered my truck, I got it with dual alternator for a whopping 400 Amp capablity. Ice stays completely frozen with no melt and refreez when we arrive. The TT floor plan is awsome but I do wish the axles had a higher rating.
