Honestly, as much flak Hman gets (which is honestly pretty deserved), he perfectly represents league players who just knows the barest of lore but acts like an expert to his uninitiated friends, especially now that League lore became cool cause of Arcane and the upcoming MMO.

The animations, visuals, sound designs are literally top tier. And if you crave for that "League vibe" without the toxicity, Legends of Runeterra is exactly what you're looking for
i just wish the pve content was like hearthstone you know actually interesting I prefer everything from gameplay to visuals in lor over hearthstone but i don't like playing pvp and unfortunately the pve in lor sucks

For all intents and pruposes, that''s *at least* 160+ biographies and corresponding short stories to read, and then some, with the comics, the novella, the new novel and the tie-in cinematics, tie-in game(s) and the lore events (good and bad). It's a lot of lore to read/consume

The Solari and Lunari are religions in the region of Targon. The Solari are the dominant faction and hunt down the Lunari because they consider them heretics.
The new region was Targon. When they launched not all regions were there. I believe Shurima and Targon were like the first expansion.
That dragon is not Aurelion Sol. It’s called Inviolus Vox in the game.
Runeterra created a bunch of videos to promote the launch. Unfortunately LoR wasn’t that popular but Riot keeps pouring love into it.
They said LoR brings the least revenue to Riot when I saw the graph I am not sure but it looks almost they are just breaking even :( yet they still pay and commission amazing artists to work on the game. LoR is a game where I can't easily say that they only care about money. I even wish they monetize better.. focus on making things that are worth buying.
@@hinnyu7748 I think the great thing about LoR is that they went with a system that doesn’t fully encourage just buying the cards. I tell my friends when they want to start that if you play consistently for a bit you can accumulate a bunch of free cards. So it makes sense that they’re not raking it in with the game.
Side note their event passes are also probably the best out of the games and the rewards are really good.

I think it's nice to see how an average casual views the lore. He knows a ton of stuff but since he's not reading into it misinformation can build up over ya know the billion years this worlds been out
I'd highly recommend you to Necrit if you want to learn the actual lore of League. I suggest watching "The World of Riot's MMO is Already Done" if you're curious about the core lore of League. This is just a suggestion so that Hman can learn as well.

I guess the issue is not about being canon or not, it is that LoR and LoL shares the same world, Runeterra.
Sure, there are a lot of what ifs in LoR like what if Azir and Xerath rebuilt the Sun Disk together.
I do not understand why the one guy who is supposed to be in the know does ZERO research about anything they're watching that is League related, and yet pretends to know. The Lore of LoR is confirmed to be canonical compared to other games. How things appear on LoR is how they are going to be when their lore gets fixed up, for example, Jinx had an interaction with Ekko where he called her Powder well before Arcane released.

This videos where made to be little stories, but also link with events, to showcase each region in the card game and the launch of expantions, the tresh one was after the ruination event and came with tresh being added to wild rift, and he getting that skin in normal league
runeterra is the whole map of league of legends world, where arcane took place in too, in the next seasons of arcane we will see more of these characters, also these cinematics are not just for a card game or for their games its actual lore and stories and a showcase of the diversity in this world, like the variations of culture race areas etc

When it comes to the expansion, during their launch there are only 6 regions that were included in the game. Each expantion added new regions from the game, that's why there are different cinematics from regions that are introduced in that expansion.
LoL Tuneterra and LoL Wild Rift are 2 separate games. Wild Rift is the game Riot release 2 years ago. Some say it's PC League on mobile but it's not. It's a smaller, faster paced, simpler LoL that is made for a large audience

It makes you choose 1 card between 3 random cards from your deck, then you put that card in the top of your deck and shuffle the rest into your deck, hence the "choose your own destiny" stuff, cuz you choose the next card you will draw.
Something important about Ionia, EVERYGHING is alive: your tools the buildings, it's possible to leave for work one day and hour house DECIDES to either leave for a seasonal migration or that it's mating season and you find your shack SHACKED UP with another shack!

to answer your question, yes LoR is still active. In fact, the "curious journey" cinematic is from earlier this year. They haven't made any actual cinematics since then, unfortunately, but no, the game's still active.

as for how the "regions" work, they're the core deckbuilding restriction, sort of like mana colors in magic, energy types in the pokemon cg, or classes in hearthstone.

they asked for other recommendations for league stuff in another video so i think necrits videos would be a good idea. necrit is like the vaatividya of league, the lore guy. so much so that he even ended up voicing a character in the ruined king rpg i believe. he recently made a video called "the world of riots mmo is already done" in which he explains the world, different nations, areas and nations and even dips into some of the more basic lore. other recommendations of his videos would be "the story of league of legends explained" the title explains why, ""how powerful are champions acording to lore" because i think anime fans can apreciate the concept behind it and "how old are champions according to the lore" because its interesting

The Legends of Runeterra short with the Lunari and Solari couple ascending into a constellation has a deeper connotation because the Solari have been trying to suppress and hide the fact that the Lunari people's faith in the moon is legitimate in favour of an entire sun dominant religion. The redheaded woman in armour, Leona, is the Aspect of the Sun and acts as a vessel for some unnamed deific power, where the white haired woman, Diana, is the Aspect of the Moon and has a similar status but is also treated like a heretic among the Solari. Diana and Leona also used to be lovers and they were driven apart by the knowledge that Diana, a Lunari descendant, learned the truth of the Solari oppression of her religion and the two of them were selected to be Aspects of opposing deities and forced into an antagonistic relationship partially by divine decree of the stellar forces that empower them and partially for ideological disparities. They can recognize the struggle this new couple is facing in their decision to try to run away to be together because in a different life, they too might have been able to be happy together. That's why Leona tries to stop the archer.
