Almost time before the disagreement begins over who they drafted. 😅
Right 😂😂😂😂😂
Let’s go Steelers! DK you’re the best
Trust the process. I’ve been fortunate to witness SiX championships by doing so and it’s a magical experience. Trust the process…HERE WE GO!
Lucky brother!! I've experienced 4 SB wins n 2 losses...lol
Last 15 years the process has been mediocre at best. Hard to trust anymore
One day away!!
The thing about this draft is that if a player slides, it's likely to be a player at a position of need. If Rome Odunze slides, well, that's a position of need. If one of the Tackles slides, same. If Terrion Arnold slides, we're good with drafting him. Pretty much the only positions projected to go top 10 who we might have a bit of hesitancy in drafting at #20 are the QBs, the Edge Rushers, or Brock Bowers, and I don't think there'd be much hesitancy over Bowers.
I also think you underrate how much of a need Guard was the year DeCastro was drafted. We were starting Doug Legursky the year before. There were a number of us hoping and praying (But not expecting) DeCastro to fall or us to trade up for him.
Morning DK, HARD working Stan the man checking in, have a wonderful day 😊
I agree DK. One day away, and the cards will fall. This is exciting to say the least and all their hard work will be on display. I trust the process DK. Thank you, Great show
Let's go PITTSBURGH STEELERS!!!!!!!!
Speaking of DeCastro, he should get some serious HOF consideration although he only played 9 years, 3 time AllPro (2 first team), 6 PBs, he'll be on the ballot in a year or two for sure and i hope he eventually gets in
Hi DK. I know you said the Steelers don't want to go into a draft with a glaring need. Didn't they do this with the WR position this year?
Drafting the best player available only makes sense when you have a franchise QB that can make up for deficiencies.
Drafting best player available for a position of need is a pretty standard approach I think everyone goes into the draft with.
Decastro was nice.
Can't wait for tomorrow, im sure they''ll get a star regardless
IMO , and yes I'm a homer , but the Steelers are usually prepared, and been that way for years. Why does the Kahn era feels exciting in FA with more activity than usual? Because the Steelers have been building primarily through the draft for a long time. And they've been competitive mostly for those years. They've built , and developed some pretty good teams. They miss here and there but generally they are prepared. And I'm confident it will be the same starting tomorrow night thru Saturday. Thanks DK, good stuff as always!!!
It seems like one big FA once a decade before Kahn. Bettis , Farrior. This seems like way more activity. I like it.
Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your POV) for the Steelers, having multiple needs widens the scope for BPA at a position of need. I also think this could help them be more open to trading down if the draft falls a certain way bc I really want them to add another Day 2 pick or find a way to flip one of their 3rd rounders into another 2nd.
Having two 2nd rounders last year turned out pretty damn good (JPJ and Benton)
When you get a chance, can you ask anyone in the organization post draft what sort of technology they use to draft? Do they have internal software applications? Does anyone use mock draft software--even just out of informal curiosity?
if the Steelers are fortunate enough to draft a RT and a plug and play center in the draft the future of the on-line would set but with that much youth up front do you feel it would be the team at a disadvantage if we're trying to win now
Prep also includes lining up potential trade partners pre-draft and for starter capable C/RT/WR’s. I agree w/ BPA; but Weidl will not allow them to continue to underinvest in the lines.
J1Q: When will the Steelers give Mike Tomlin a contract extension?
Hopefully never.
They’re going to like it or not
Hopefully never.
Well, 'BPA' was also Bud Dupree. It doesn't always tend to work out, but yeah. If Joe Alt magically appeared in front of the Steelers @ 20, who wouldn't sprint to the podium like Usain Bolt to deliver the card? You always want the very best on the board, but it's also good to have predetermined targets going in, so you're not picking blindly.
I do not pay attention to the draft but man has it become a thing since all the fan platforms. Me I just want to talk about the team and stop hearing about some fans fantasy picks for the ten billionth time.
I just see who we grab player and position wise
If the picks work out to our advantage. Do we trade down or sit on 20 and pick up that best available ?
We'll know after pick #19 How's it going buddy? ✌️
@@SquatchWatcher going great I can’t wait to see how this turns out
@@terrywbreedlove The star of our draft prolly someone we never heard of 😂 , but it'll make total sense
They drafted Troy F. From Washington first round
Happy Draft's Day Eve everyone!!!
I coulda sworn Omar said this last year
Let's go get the Chiefs!!!!
DK, why haven’t the Steelers had a press conference for Justin Fields??? Also, how are they going to keep the most athletic player off the field??
Best player at a position of need is alot easier when you have multiple needs and the other way
If all those tackles are gone and there is no surprising drops, I would consider Jer’Zhan Newton
It seems to me they are after a center because unless I missed something, they have filled out their roster, if not thin in spots, everywhere but center.
IMO we’re still in the honeymoon phase with Omar. Colbert was a part of good drafts, (and do not forget he could not/ and Omar cannot make unilateral decisions), Omar will have a hand in bad draft choices. Omar has been here since 2001. That, I think, is something to remember. This isn’t Madden on a gaming device.
David decastro , and Pouncey will hopefully make the hall
Hope they trade up for a 2nd rd pick. Move picks #98 and 119 for the 2 in the 40 area.
Then go WR or Corner with #20 .
I am going to make DK draw-up a Najee Harris apology contract. Saying that Harris or Etienne would have been the same RB for this team? Sir, Etienne wasn't built for the AFC North.
Jaylen Warren is far superior to Najee Harris.
@@eternal_napalm6442 Lies you tell
To be fair, I think Cam and TJ both outplayed their draft position. If analysts in the league did a re-draft of both of those guys' respective drafts, they'd both probably be in the Top 10. They went late in the first round because the rest of the league clearly weren't as high on them as they clearly should have been and there's going to be players in this draft that will fall in the same boat that will end up being better players than some of them going in the top half of the first round. I mean come on, majority of the star players in the league aren't even first round picks. I remeber Aaron Donald was "too small" to be an elite DT in this league and he fell in the first round. That dude should have been the first overall pick.
The Steelers will probably draft the best available. If another Cam Heyward or TJ Watt fell to the Steelers idk why they wouldn't? GO STEELERS
A little late here dk lol.. one more day
Isn't Anderson ready ???
They weight positions by need. Let's say this year's top needs are C, WR, OT and DL. That's their big board -- those players. The rare exceptions might enter that board from other positions, but they have to be a unique talent in their eyes. The board broadens as the draft progresses. This is their BPA, or BPAAPON as Omar said, philosophy. ❤🔥🍻
