INGREDIENTS:
FLOUR/MAIDA 3 CUPS(360 GRAM)
SUGAR 1/4 CUP(50 GRAM)
SALT 1/2 TSP
YEAST 1 TBS
EGG ONE (SUBSTITUTE 1/4 CUP MILK)
BUTTER 2 TBS
VANILLA ESSENCE 1/2 TSP
MILK 1 CUP
NUTELLA 250 GRAM

You deceive us! You make it look so dang easy! The last two times I’ve tried to make doughnuts they tasted like glazed breadsticks. Perhaps I should try to make breadsticks and maybe they taste like a doughnut? 😪 I know I’m pathetic at best! I’ve got a killer Nutella frosting, but I can’t get the doughnuts right! Know I have a hankering for crispy crème doughnuts! We have a bakery that’s 4 hours away that makes the best Nutella crème Doughnuts I’ve ever eaten. Mouths watering. Wife won’t let me waste the fuel to get a doughnut or six either! Boo hoo! Before I got married I used to drive 250 miles one way for two soft large pretzels and a humongous homemade lemonade. Worth it OH YEAH! Not to my wife though.

I'd maybe guess that your dough was underproved, or your oil isn't hot enough so the dough is getting dense and that's why it tastes more like a breadstick? If it's a texture thing that's what I'd assume. If it's a flavor thing I'd assume too much salt or not enough sugar in your recipe.
I always end up with a sticky mass of mess, to sticky to do anything with but follow it exact, I'll keep trying lol

If you want to refrigerate it ,, use very less amount of yest then refrigerate
Ur cup size was different than mine there is always demarcation on cup sizes what u have used is half cup I measured milk from 1 cup and the batter was too sticking had to add more maida u should always put in grams or ml beside cup measurements like how u have done for maida
Same here...even my batter was very sticky, then again I added maida
Use grams and it’s way more accurate. Humidity, and flour type and age makes differences too. It’s hard to be good at this. She makes it look so dang easy! Makes me sick! I can’t even accidentally make doughnuts. 😢😪the last two times I tried they tasted like glazed breadsticks! Perhaps if I tried to make breadsticks I’d wind up with doughnuts? 🤔

Yes . Not personal experience but once saw a comment that said " I forgot to warm up the milk and the dough didn't rise "

Bcoz whole donut was not dipped in oil so white right came out in centre

That’s why I just go to the bakery and buy the dognuts. So much easier! I’ve tried and tried to make dognuts, but they taste like breadsticks with sugar. Maybe I should just try to make breadsticks and I’ll might accidentally make dognuts. (Yes, I know how you spell doughnuts, but we’ve just always called them dognuts. Why? No clue just what it is) Lol! When I was a teenager I was a professional master baiter. Now I wish I was a master baker! Sorry…….I’ll leave now.

Your oil was too hot, or to low. Get a candy-oil thermometer that clips on the side of your pan. But don’t have it touch the bottom of the pan.
