African art objects in ethnological museums around the world must be returned. Why? Afrofluencer @deinbrudersteve explains this in his DEEP DIVE. Most of these works were not gifts, but were stolen from Africans by the colonial powers. The Germans also plundered a lot in their colony Cameroon, Stève's home country - and brought, among other things, the "Mandu Yenu" throne to Germany, which is now displayed in the Humboldt Forum in Berlin. Today, museums all over the world earn money and prestige by exhibiting stolen African art. This cannot continue. Stéve is calling for African art treasures, including "Mandu Yenu", to be returned unconditionally - to enable a partnership of equals between Africa and Europe.
