A motion sensor light switch would be a good idea in the doggie room. It’s so convenient to not have to constantly turn the light off and on. I have one in my laundry room and it’s great when coming in from the garage with my hands loaded.

The dog's room came out so cute! It would have been nice to have at least a portion of the "courtyard" (where the doggy door is) covered, so the dogs could go out to potty and not get soaked....

Like most old farm houses, we had a "doggy room" under our steps when I was growing up. I procured that area as a play house- -- I hadn't thought of that in 60+ years. Thank you for bringing back that memory. No mine wasn't painted it was just a very dark area with a lamp - I don't remember where I plugged it in.
What an exciting & eventful day that was for the Cog40! Pond surely got water and the puppers we introduced to their new home plus MC bathroom repaint. All so beautiful!!! ❤️

I cry every time I see Gidget. I had a Pomeranian Chewy he passed away in December. My heart is still broken. I was thinking since you love flowers why not paint a sunflower and zinnias on the walls. Your family is so special. I can see the excitement in the house becoming ready to move into.

It would be really cute to make a tiny to scale version of a barn door with a black hook type latch to close the doggie room from the living room.

Tips from a painter’s wife::::: 1. Always have a 5 gal cleaned bucket available. Instead of stirring in gal paint can, pour in to large bucket and pour back and forth to mix. 2. Start painting at top of wall with 3 inch brush and paint a border also border around bottom. When you use roller, you won’t hit trim. And a thought for decor in doggie room……paint pictures of fire hydrant, chew bones, etc.

The doggy room and indoor outdoor access should be a staple in architects planning interviews because so many people would appreciate the option especially with a kennel or run outside. And you could have posted 30 minutes of that lovely rain pouring down and 3/4 of the nation would tune in to watch... I'm in the Minneapolis suburbs and we were sooo dry that the lawn company didn't mow for 3 weeks! The past week a few late afternoon/evening thunderstorms have greened us back up!

Jason, I think we need an update on the pond. Here in western Massachusetts we have gotten almost 1.25 inches of rain in the last 2 days! We're still 2 inches lower than the normal 4.2 inches in August. Corn fields and lawns are crisp around here.
I hope the pond made some progress in filling up some. Thanks for all the work you do to bring us these videos! :-)

Where are you from ? I just moved from California to Seattle Washington it rains so much here most don't bother with any landscaping its a refreshing wildness we have here 😍

I live in the country and the lawn is my last priority. Especially during the draught we were having. Keeping it long kept if from burning. I heard when Phil Robertson (Duck Dynasty) was asked why he doesn't mow his yard he said "fall will take care of it" haha.
@@lydiaferguison Sweden! And since being hooked on American channels mowing lawns (yes, I’m strange, but they’re soothing)I’ve come to the conclusion that our grass areas are pretty wild 🤣😂. People mow their lawns but not everything is perfect 😂👍

Now I notice that our edges aren’t perfect, that there are weeds all over the place and that we hardly use any mulch! 🤣😂 I’m a lawn expert now after watching all those videos 😁. We are brutes! 😂🤣

That is a very nice print by MaryCarl’s shower. But does she know that the steam from the shower will ruin the print within a week or two? You might want to look for something not made from paper to go in that spot.
May I suggest an antique wood framed window (use a crackle paint on the frame. With unbreakable glass) painted with a stained glass scene that MaryCarl has painted on the unbreakable glass. This is done using special translucent glass paint and liquid pretend lead between the colors so it looks just like real stain glass, but it’s safe and less expensive than real stained glass. MaryCarl is so talented, I bet that she can do a fantastic bird picture maybe with some of the flowers from the flower farm. Plus it will be something special and unique to MaryCarl.

Yay Arlo and Gidget !!! 👍😃. All they need now is door mat inside their room for when they come in with wet feet 🐾 🐾 🐾 🐾 I bet Jason could make them a coat rack to attach to the wall. Just some barn wood and dowel rods and a dab of paint. 30 min job 👍 I like Brooke’s idea of hanging the leashes in there too with their wardrobe. Lol👍. Maybe hang a headlamp in there also , in case you had to run outside at night

I too am interested in MC’s sewing projects. I learned to sew at a very early age and loved changing my room decor with throw pillows. Pillow covers are soooo easy to make! Can’t wait to see her projects!
Well, having no idea why MC was feeling private about her sewing projects, but I for one think she should be very proud of herself and want to share this part. I know she is a young pre-teen, and things change when we enter those teen years. I am so old, that sewing class was a requirement when we entered junior high school. And I loved that sewing class. The first thing we made was one of those wonderful granny aprons, and then next a dress with a full gathered shirt and a summer type bodice, a zipper all the way up the back, with a little reversible bolero jacket. I was a skinny, skinny girl, and this dress fit me like a dream. I wore it often and was proud of the quality of the sewing, which our teacher insisted on. We also were required to take a cooking class. I am grateful to have grown up in these times. I still sew. quilts; pillow cases; occasional clothing items for my great grandchildren. It is a wonderful and enjoyable craft to have. So I say, be proud of it sweet MaryCarl.
@@sandrasherritt9708 I agree! I come from a long line of sewers and quilters. My mom had me sewing and helping her at young age. But I too had to take Home Economics in Junior High (had never heard of Middle School.) I made so many of my own clothes, and loved them. In my 2nd year of sewing, we made a lined jacket. I think that is still the hardest thing I ever sewed! Mary Carl is same age as my oldest grand child. Lots of changes going on. I get it, but I can't wait to see what she does! That young lady is so gifted!!
