The reason why Hackett is so beloved and respected, because he stays true to his music and classics. While everyone does music today and avoids their past material. Hackett also, is a true English gent.
wrong ! Steve Hackett composed many longue Plage of Progressive Music with many instruments Claassical compositions no others do this , forget it ! JUST listen Albums solo with others of Genesis , nothing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he composed Midsummer nights dram and Metamorpheus plus 25 albums many are better then Genesis , creator of Tapping Guitar play The Ciacinne of Bach composed with Orchstre composed Voyage OF tHE aCOLYTE A master Composer
I am a fans of Genesis since 75,this song is from the A trick of the tail album,....very very nice to hear it in another arrangement with big concert...great vocal....good job!
Having the orchestra play the organ background melody in the middle part (🎶 On your left, and on your right...🎵) sounds fantastic. It is played in two octaves, which bring the melody forward in the mix in a great way. To Genesis tribute band keyboardists out there, please try playing this section with and “octave patch”, or whatever it’s called, that adds an octave.
This is awesome! How refreshing it is to hear this and the other videos from this extraordinary concert in Reykjavik, Iceland. It's not easy to perform this material with full symphonic orchestra and choir. It's amazing how well you all perform it. Congratulations! It's been a pleasure following you on this project. I'm really looking forward to the next release. Will it be a DVD from this concert with Steve Hackett? I'll buy one copy!👍🏼😊
This is my 6th Todmobile video in a row. As a lifelong fan of Genesis, I have the orchestrated version of Genesis on a CD, even with Steve playing on guitar. I've also heard my share of orchestrated prog epics, but I've always felt something is lacking in the combination--and even sometimes in the way the orchestra slavishly follows the original instrumentation, without delving into some of the different dynamics that an orchestra is capable of. I think you've got that problem solved. It's great to hear much the same rock instrumentation, but backed by re-interpretive arrangement, that just gets how to deepen the arrangement and create an even lusher atmosphere.
When my father buy for me my first Systeme de son , he look at me and ask me ok Jf wich songs do you choose for baptise your new Systeme ? i choose Dance on a Volcano , merci a Steve Hackett , look first name just beside the title Dance on a Volcano OnTrick of the Tail Album Steve Hackett, merci Steve !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeve !!!!! Live , i saw Steve many times Live , a Master Prog Composer and Musicien , Historic Composer and he create the tapping guitar ! 1970 on Return of the Giant Hogweed see the begenning of this i think a video RUclips with his old group Genesis , 1972 , and he play the Ciaconne of Johanne Sebastian Bach , who is able to play this ??? lolool just try it
First Jon Anderson, then Steve Hackett, next... I'd love John Wetton or maybe Eddie Jobson with some King Crimson/UK. But since that may be unlikely to happen (same with gentle giant), you could also go with ELP (Tarkus and Knife Edge especially) or what I would love is a memorial performance of Chris Squire's Fish out of Water.
Steve Hackett Genesis 2.0 merci Steve , and Live !!!!!!! Father Of Prog , Voyage Album and some others and go read Links guys on the site of Hackett for the Rolling Stones Magazine Steve explications when and how he create many longue PLage of Progressive music Compositons for Genesis m very interesting Historic !
I totally agree. Steve Hackett stays true to his music and his classics. He is definitely the ultimate professional

Steve is so humble yet so powerful. A true enigma.
The vocals by Eybor Gunnlaugsson are stellar. Great rendition of one of my fav Genesis tracks! 👏👏👏
What a great singing voice 👍🏼
A shame this is not on a DVD..........would be great in my home theater!
Going to see Mr. Hackett, in Orlando Florida April 20!!! My first Concert in almost 2 years!!
Great band of musicians great vocals classic and of course Steve's great playing and beautiful guitar sound brilliant 👏
Can I get this on DVD? It's *wonderful*!
Excellent! I felt like applauding here alone at the end.

I think I'm crazy about it!
saw Steve playing solo guitar Firth of Fifth in Montreal Historic
Holy mother of god!
I want to move to Iceland. Is this what it's like? Everyone there is a progger or a weirdo like Bjork? I'm in.
They're crazy up there. They go ravine-riding over glaciers in racked-up 4-wheel drives with 10-foot wheels and flabby tyres (for maximum traction).
Hackett-Guitar for Genesis it was wow ! Historic ...
A++ Perfect
Hermoso, gran cantante y orquesta
Steve should sign up the vocalist for his forthcoming tours .... and to Tod ... brilliant work on these and the Jon Anderson Yes songs.
Thank you. I loved working on those. And the solos in Awaken still wake me up at night:)
Muy buenoo
Utterly awesome. Any chance of some ELP link up or or King Crimson in the future? You guys are fantastic. A Blu-ray Disc sometime soon? Please?
Steve Hackett was Genesis's secret weapon. As soon as he left, the band started to decline.
Voyage just this Acolyte Brain Hackett
I 100% agree.
Also when Gabriel left ;-)
After gabriel & hackett there was no genesis. A genophile that we dont listen anymore.
THE BEST
Eyþór Ingi Gunnlaugsson (born 29 May 1989 in Dalvík), transliterated/also known as Eythor Ingi, is an Icelandic singer
He is unbelievable...He is pure energy, and enormously talented...

this like Firth of Fifth Solo Compo of Steve
Seriously majestic version of DoaV. Todmobile seems to be the perfect vehicle for Michael Sweet's quaver after the tragic breakup of Stryper.
Master Steve Hackett , like Metamorpheus Album brain of Steve and Midsummer Nights Dream
When you play The Ciaconne of Bach , and create Tapping Guitar and all your compo for Genesis and etc etc etc , merci Steve Hackett
Wow!!

Next up is the versatile Nik Kershaw in November....same venue and orchestra. We are recording a new version of the Riddle:)
WHEN is this being released!? :)
is there any plan performing in Asien? Singapore?
4:00
Somebody said the same thing! I'm really mad!
And Steve play The Ciaconne of Johann Sebastian Bach
create Metamorpheus Album , the brain Prog

What's Right!
Is there a DVD available? , also the set with Jon Anderson?

Give the singer a silk cape and you would be hard pressed to tell him apart from Rick W. Joking aside, these performances are great to watch.
Kayla Marie
We promised one video a week. Here is a new one. The really fun to play "Dance on Volcano" Have fun:) ruclips.net/video/Xi-DzVixnts/видео.html

This needs Phil Collins!
Phil can barely walk, let alone play the drums anymore. Sad.
I think this singer outshines both Collins and Gabriel easily.
Yes definitely! The dummers also isn't powerful and precise enough
he created Genesis
Didn't have time to arrange Entangled.
it´s true:)
This guy is a great singer, but sounds best on tracks like this, as you don't have to compare him to Peter Gabriel.
