  • This study with me in law school video takes you through a day studying in the Christmas holidays at the start of the final bit of studying before becoming a lawyer in UK - the LPC. I take you through a day studying law, showing how I take lecture notes in law school 📚
    I think my lecture note taking method is simple, but highly effective and I'm hoping that you'll take away some great tips you can implement in your own studies! Taking effective lecture notes makes life as a student so much easier - once you have quality lecture notes you can much more easily write essays, answer questions and revise for exams.

    in law school, we use ancient books that contain archaic words, obsolete doctrines, jurisprudence which mention laws that have already become repealed and i think it's inefficient, unreliable and confusing. it's so refreshing seeing lectures being uploaded online in a format that's easy to comprehend and remember.

Chase my Esport career or my education, I'm still 13 though, though I know I can achieve greater heights in Education I find it hard because my family and I is in a bad financial spot after something happened that's why I feel like Esport is the go-to place to me at the same time I feel bad about it like oh what about after Esport retirement. That kinda sucks tbh, I only got a few choices in careers as I live in a terrible country where poverty exists and low income is common that's why I need to choose between the basic jobs.

    Thanks bud! I'm in m final year of Law and most of our stuff has always been online. Your steps are a great reminder.
    My biggest weakness is that when I'm grappling with something and spending a considerable amount of time on it, my brain tries to tell me that I'm wasting my time; that I could be utilising it studying something else. Alas, we have to soldier on! I believe that things do crystallise over time.

    Before the lecture:
    • Skim through lecture presentation/notes
    • Build topic skeleton (Headings, subheadings)
    During the lecture:
    • Note down important bits only in bullet point form write them under the headings.
    After lecture:
    • Note down bold keywords for easy identification of sections of notes.
    • Number links between your notes and lecture notes. May be useful for essays later.
    • GRAPPLE with areas of notes/topic until you can explain to a 5 year old. May take hours. -> Maybe draw things out to conceptualise

    I'm struggling with taking notes for the relevant case law. Rn I'm doing Contract Law, but the annoying part is constantly summarising the case and putting it under my relevant sections. I'm fine with doing this, but it sometimes creates this issue of constantly seeing cases reappear for sections that relate to eachother, how do you take notes efficiently for the cases reappearing? Do you simply copy and paste them under every section required for them?

    • @emmalawson1504
      @emmalawson1504 2 года назад

      Just copy and paste the case name. You don’t need the entire summary each time the case relates to a section in your notes. Unless a different tiara of the case relates to that particular section in which case, I normally copy & paste the case name (just the ‘name v name’ no date etc as you’ve already got the full case summarised, no need to continue repeating it in full ), and one word for the topic you are relating it to.
