- This process has been going on for 14 months now, the chain has fallen through in the final hour twice so it's been stressful to say the least, but somehow what has been a dream for over a year finally came true. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone that crossed their fingers for us and sent support while we were waiting to exchange and complete. We appreciate it more than you know. Our next chapter awaits.

Where is it do you know?
I would keep the door to the dressing room from the hallway but have it blocked up so you open it and it’s a cupboard for linens. Then block it up the other side and have a wardrobe unit covering it or shelving for shoes ❤

Stunning, I can see why you waited so long for it. I think you could make a secret door from the dining room to the playroom. That way you can keep the beautiful doors and symmetry xx

I agree with you about keeping the period features & changing the kitchen & definitely make an en-suite next to the dressing room or make the loft your new bedroom & en-suite. You could cover the quarry tiles so they are respectfully protected for future owners. The House That Black Built did the same... don't feel bad about making the property your home, even if certain aspects aren't to your taste :)

Hi Olivia 😊 beautiful house! Love it love it! A few ideas 💡 cupboards in the dinning room/arch you can still do the arch and leave the cupboard doors sort of like a “narnia door”. 😊 about the tiles in the dining room, you can use those vinyl tiles for now with a pretty pattern that you like more, so the red and black will still be there, but you won’t need to see them. Sorry for the unsolicited advise! Hope helps! 💜

What a beautiful beautiful house, so glad it finally happened for you guys. You could have a walk in closet with shower at the end of the wardrobes by the window hmmmm food for thought. If that door from the hall wall is blocked off u could add more wardrobe space there. All the best with the house, can't wait for journey #exciting

She’s got the new loft conversion room to design with an en-suite don’t you worry, I’m not leaving her in the cat shed.
Just because I choose to live my life on social media it doesn’t mean it’s every parents wish to have their child discussed etc on social media. Not everything is for online, some things can be private 😊

From experience. We have a playroom in the same position in our house and our girls hardly use it as they just want to be in the same room as us. It is more a toy storeroom tbh. If you can open it up somehow I definitely would otherwise I feel it’s such a wasted space x

Why don’t you cut the size of the dressing room with a partition/open plan and have another doorway through to the bathroom with the window? As you said that yous are worried the bathroom wouldn’t have a window. It would be your en-suite so you don’t have to share with nova and your step daughter? :)

I love it! I was thinking exactly the same about the secret door as in the comments below. Also why not just paint the current dressing room doors or have them sprayed. We have been restoring a period property and it’s super easy for things to get very expensive. Good luck. 👍🏻. @restoringorchardhouse
