Welcome to our series of vlogs where we will be renovating our early 1960's converted bungalow in the beautiful Kent countryside. This renovation will involve a lot of #DIY as we do like to get stuck in however we are not professionals in any way so these are not tutorials 😂. From experience renovating previous properties we know that we learn from our mistakes and pick up new tips, tricks and skills along the way. This is not going to be a quick turn around, we'll be doing this over the course of the next few years so thank you for coming along for the journey, hopefully we'll still have all our limbs, fingers and toes intact by the end of it 🤞🏼

In the utility room I would tile the wall where you hang your coats. I did it in our cottage and it is such a lifesaver when you hang your wet coats

Could you do a video where you talk us through your process when starting from scratch? What do you do? Make a mood board of the colours and items you’d like and build from there with the layout and budget in mind? I’m sure there’s much more to it than that so would love to see how you get from A to B and your vision comes to life! 👏

It looks absolutely beautiful. We all have a dumping room! I had to laugh at the doggos spread out and taking up the entire sofa, lol! I actually like the rug that you have under the dining table. The color blends well with everything else and the pattern is a nice contrast to the solid colors in the remainder of the area.

The thing about your renovation is that it feels so intentional. It feels like you know what you want to use it for (or what makes sense both for yourselves and if you want to sell in the future). And I love your home, it's just so calm and light and beautiful. Even the things I'd do differently to my own personal needs, it just looks really really beautiful, well utilized and like a loved and cared for home.

Your home is a cool and calm haven. I just love those windows that open on such an angle that you can leave them open even in the rain. The fact that they're all black and match all the metal structures around the house is so chic and clean. The kitchen is so cozy and liveable. And the "children" lying around on the couch make it extra snugable. ❤

Sorry you have been unwell and thank you for filming despite getting breathless. You have such a lovely home with the perfect balance between it being not too cluttered yet not too stark. It looks such a relaxing house; I can see the B's appreciate it too. Pets certainly teach you how to relax and just do nothing for a while. Could you kindly tell me where you got your laundry basket from; the one on the countertop by the dog bath/shower.

Love my Shark vacuum. Good choice! Also really appreciate that you are not in a rush to fill out all the spaces and you take your time with your renovations. I'm sure there is pressure for content, but if you don't want to be wasteful you really need to live in your spaces to figure how what works best for you. We have vastly different styles but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying your videos. Thanks for sharing.
It's more so that don't have an endless supply of money so have to save up for each project and assess what projects can fit into each budget 🙊

Oh gosh that’s a long old time 😟. My symptoms have gone but I have been left with an awful cough which gets 100 times worse the moment I get in bed 😩 Running on about 3 hours sleep this week 🙈

Love your home tour and all the renovations you both put in. I also watched your previous home loved that one too. My favourite area is the kitchen and the lounge. Always nice to have a kitchen island. Bedroom i prefer upstairs feel safer than being on the ground floor 😟. I love the shower where there is a nook to place shampoo and body wash etc so handy than having those tacky holders you just hang over the shower or corner space. Always nice seeing the doggies. ❤
I’ve heard other people say that but in my head it’s safe downstairs because if someone comes in on the ground floor you’re trapped upstairs as they can cut off your escape route. If you were downstairs then you can always escape being on the ground floor, no having to jump out of a first story window. Not that I’ve given it much thought 🤪🤣🙈
One of the most enjoyable house tours. I do sort of remember what it was like and I’m very impressed how beautiful you renovated and impressed at home much energy you have.
