Oh yes... the three molds are SO different, especially #4 and Corinne. I would love to see them use this mold again, and I wonder why they've only ever used it once.

I'm sure I will! I have very distinct memories of growing up in the nineties and being forced by my parents to have bangs. One time, I BEGGED my dad to make my bangs go away... so he cut them all the way short to my forehead. I was mortified. I will say, they do look much cuter on this girlie than they did on me.

Thank you! I know, it sure is interesting when something like that happens but you can’t pinpoint exactly where those feelings are coming from. Pleasant Company things remind me of my grandma who is no longer with me so I think that’s a part of it, too.

Congrats on your new #4! I got mine from Ebay for around $160 several years ago and named her Gia after one of the characters of from Rip Girls. My Gia is part Hawaiian and part Chinese. She’s early Mattel circa 2000-2002, has the “American Gril” body tag, and came in most of the Urban Outfit.

I love your confidence when you said, "I can just do an eye swap" while showing the singular face mold with the smallest eyes in the history of American Girl lmao. Seriously. My #4 is lovely and also has the tiniest beginnings of silver eye in one eye and let me tell you - I am DREADING the idea of an eye swap with her lol. I'll probably send her to someone else when that day comes and let them do it ;-) Also, I'll try to get some pictures for you, but if you want pics of any specific dolls from my collection let me know that. Otherwise, I'll send what occurs to me :-)
LOL you've got a point there.. we do a lot of eye swaps but I suppose this one might be a bit of a challenge 😅

The more I see #4 the more I like her, but I don't think I could justify purchasing her. I personally like Jess' mold a little better and for the price I don't see her being a doll I go out of my way to collect. I don't know why AG never produced another doll with this face mold- maybe an executive decision?
Yes.. the PRICE has deterred me so many times. I got this gal for less than a CYO so I'm pretty pleased with that. And she's just so darn cute.
I have 3 AG dolls the historical dolls.
I have Addy, Melody, and Clauda.
Those are three of my favorites! I have Addy and Claudie, and am currently on the lookout for a Melody doll that has the old version of the Sonali mold. I also am likely going to end up getting a second Addy so I have both the historical and Beforever versions.
Also the dolls r my 1st time collect them. I have them n plastic clear bags on display. Also with other black dolls and Tiana dolls.
How wonderful! American Girl is announcing a new Disney collab on GMA on Wednesday the 7th. I’m hoping there’s a Tiana released!
