Hey Rod, nice work as usual. Never had a Behringer Pedal but I got a couple of their Mics and Audio Interface to get me started recording my Amp. They go me up and running and the Audio Interface in great. Just upgraded the Mics and could here a difference, but the Behringer Mics got me started just fine. That is Behringer's place in the Market for me, get you up and running until you work out what you want to do going forward. Have a great Festive Season Rod Onward and Upward in 25 Pete
Liked and subscribed, nicely done. The Behringer tm300 and gdi21 (and of course Tech21 Sansamp gt2) all sound identical. They're ideal at the beginning of your signal chain, set for "edge of breakup". Perfect as an overdrive before a Rat, Muff, or your favorite distortion. The added bonus is having a mic placement switch and drive in addition to amp/mod switches. 🎸 Rock on.
Hi Rod. I have this pedal and and I get many different tones out of it. It's very good. They nailed it on this one. It could replace a few pedals on my board if I wanted to but I choose not to because I like analog and digital pedals. It's all analog if anyone wants to know. You Rock Rod 🎸
Great demo! I'm a fan of Behringer stuff. They sound very similar to the actual piece that they are trying emulate. Of course some differences but it's a fifth of the price. The plastic casting is sketchy but if your recording or using it at home. Who cares? I've got a few Behringers and I'm sure I'll get more. They put out a good product. I'm really looking forward to the Fuzz Bender and the Uni-vibe. Thanks Rod! Playing is on point as usual!
When you see how many classics Behringer is now reproducing - I just saw the announcement of a Linn Drum imitation - I wonder whether there is a chance that a Behringer pedal will come out at some point that imitates the Rockman X-100. I would really like to have exactly these sounds (edge, distortion and clean).
I had one and found tonnes of useable tones for recording. However i wish one of the cab options they had in addition to mic angle etc no cab at all so this could go into an IR or return power amp
@thepedalpicassos I like that the v2 of the original tech 21 character series had a speaker sim defeat switch. I know you can mod them but wish joyo and mosky clones had the same feature. I mean they work into an IR fine but just good option
An A/B comparison with the original Tech21 GT-2 would be very interesting. I'm surprised that this classic can be copied so shamelessly without getting a letter from Tech21's legal department.
There are a few A/B comparisons, here is a short... ruclips.net/user/shortsODwC5XhTuAI?si=zFfFK407q0BqpjuZ Identical sound, and if you want the Direct Out, the Behringer GDI21 has it. 🎸
Pedal circuit has no patent protection nor copyright protection in the circuit board layout. Most pedals are free to clone as much as you want just mainly the brand name, logo, trade marks and artwork is what is protected.
Most sounds sound ...weird. But it has a baxandall tonestack probably so you have to tube by ear AND he is shoving single coils into hi gain and even with real life it is a challenge to be honest. Specific settings for specific sounds can sound great and this is true with the tech21 stuff as well.

Thanks mate! We really appreciate that and we really appreciate your comment!
Great work mate. Awesome playing!

Having demoed this with my Sansamp GT2 I can say that they're similar, but the EQ sounds noticeably different.
I have the Vamp GDI21 which has these circuits in it but also has a DI in it!
It doesn't sound too bad!
I agree, the TM300 and the GDI21 sound great. And the Direct Out on the GDI21 is nice to have.
@@RichInternationalAir Indeed!
HARD to get a 'clean' sound out of any of them tho!
LOL!

Great comment! We love this stuff too! I think I’ve had about 20 different pedals from these guys over the years!

That would be amazing! PastFx is working in a version of the rockman!
Don’t hold back 🎸🤟❤️

Yeah that’s a fair point, it’s always useful to have the option of bypassing cab sims.

I don't think you can patent or legally protect a circuit. Otherwise there would not be so many clones.

You using a noisegate? I own this pedal, it's pretty noisy, not hearing that from your end.
Had one, don't bother even at the low price.
fizzy in ugly way, low gain stuff seems better though
Sounds pretty bad…
Doesn't sound convincing imho ..
