You're not going to fix this kid. He'll be walking the streets, commit all sorts of things, hurt numerous people, spend stints in and out of jail and then may finally get imprisoned for a decent sentence for something horrific after leaving a trial of carnage in his wake. We see this story play out over and over in our true crime genre. It's despicable.

@@DaveSCameron yes I think I know the case, the James Bulger case. It was so brutal it shocked the world! I just don’t know how much therapy and “help” can even save people that could do that, at any age. Empathy is something you are kind of born with and then develop from strong loving relationships with your parents (in general) if you don’t have empathy then you pretty don’t and can’t force on people. Empathy is a basic human emotion required to live and thrive in society and without it you have problems and evil deeds.

Nine-years-old, and he killed Brandon Raspberry in his sleep without giving it a thought. No pity, no guilt, no sense of remorse, either. And he threatened someone else at school, to boot. I don't know if he can ever be "fixed", so to speak. I think he was born evil, personally. The grandfather needs to be held accountable, for two reasons: 1) his gun was in the truck. It wasn't locked away for "safe keeping". It was just lying out in the open, and 2) the gun was pawned soon after Brandon's murder. That, to me, says that he knew what the little s***stain did, and got rid of the incriminating evidence.
I guess that's it for now, TCR Fam.

Kids fiddle around and would defo look in a glove box. But different from the Crumbley's I suppose due to them KNOWING their son had severe psychiatric problems, had voiced about killing and then leaving guns all over the house for him to access, with that prior knowledge.

It was nice to see Ethan Crumbley’s parents face charges for making a gun accessible to a kid. I’m all for gun rights, and these people’s actions have consequences for law abiding citizens and responsible gun owners. The parents need to face charges for every time a shooting happens from an unsecured firearm. I grew up with guns in the house, and they were locked up in a safe. There was a pistol in my dads nightstand, because we were burglarized by drug addicts, and the most stern talk I’ve ever had was when my dad showed it to me, and told me that if I ever touched it, he would beat me senseless. He said that he would teach me gun safety and how to shoot. He’d actually followed through on his threat to spank me with a belt, and I just knew I didn’t want that belt ever again. He told me that if I touched that pistol I would get the worst belt session of my life. I was absolutely terrified, and I didn’t ever touch it.

    Thanks for the recap.
First, our society needs to stop allowing children to think that they are allowed to play with anything that they can reach. That may sound harsh, but the world will always be a place of dangerous things. If a child is old enough to get into things on his or her own, the child should have already been taught many times not to touch things without permission. That sounds harsh, but we can't keep kids away from everything that could hurt them. We have to start training them from an early age not to play with things that aren't theirs.
A part of that is teaching kids not to go into places where they don't belong. I knew by the time I was six years old that I wasn't supposed to go into other people's houses without permission. That this kid thought it was okay to go exploring in a stranger's home is another sign that the kid was either very poorly raised or a psychopath of some kind.
Secondly, the grandfather shouldn't be charged. We allow kids to think that they can play with anything that they find, but the chances of a kid finding a gun and shooting someone this way are incredibly low unless the kid is already a psychopath of some kind. A psychopath might understand the function of a real gun that way and do what this kid did, but for a regular kid, that's very unusual. If I'm on that jury, I'm voting not guilty.
Thirdly, I understand that the school can't release details of the threat made against the other kid. However, the details of that threat might be an indication of psychopathy. The authorities should be investigating that threat from the point of view that this child has a mental defect that makes him very dangerous. They may not be able to prosecute him for the crime, but he should be considered for civil commitment on a permanent basis.

So we have a grandfather who keeps an unsecured and loaded handgun where his 7 year old grandson has access to it. Then after learning a neighbor was murdered withij walking distance of his grandson and two rounds had been fired from his handgun, which is the same caliber as the murder weapon, pawns the gun to get rid of it and now people want to change laws to charge a child with murder rather than change laws to require gun owners to store their weapons responsibly.
The grandfather would have to be really reckless and uncaring to not realize the gun had been used before pawning it and that his grandson had access to it right at the time of the murder. Instead of going to police he got rid of the gun.
Even if it is hard to prove his intent that is absolutely aiding and abetting a murder.
But i guess the USA would rather prosecute a child than legally require gun owners to be responsible with storing their guns.

I think it's bs that this psychopath who happens to be a kid is getting away with murder. It's no wonder criminals who commit violent crimes are getting younger. If this murderers parents care about him and want to be decent people, they will put him away somewhere at least until he's 18. The fact that he felt no remorse for what he did in spite of knowing what he did is an indication of a psychopath. He was born evil to be doing what he did at such a young age. Since he has no empathy he shouldn't be treated as a child but an adult. I can have sympathy for psychopaths even if they are kids.

I dont if its a sign for the times or isolated incident but a 7 year old!!!! Murdering someone for no reason is chilling and formidable. I hope phycologists can figure out why this happened

I can't imagine looking at this story and thinking that keeping an unsecured and loaded handgun where a child can access it should be a serious crime.
But 'murica i guess so let's blame the child for doing something stupid instead of the gun owner for being criminally reckless with a deadly weapon around his grandson.

Antisocial personality disorder. Very difficult to treat. It cannot be medicated except for secondary symptoms of depression and anxiety, for example. Personality disorders used to be called “character disorders” but since society seems to have tossed moral constructs out the window now the diagnosis is either Antisocial or Psychopathic Disorder. So yes, that boy needs Jesus Christ. May God have mercy. Thank you for an excellent video.

How could a 7yr old truly know the consequences of his actions when he's surrounded by violent video games, violent news bulletins & violent movies? I think this may be more of an issue about keeping your firearms locked in a safe place, rather than psycho 7-year-olds on the rampage. I could be wrong; he could be born evil...Time will tell, I guess...
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Neither Jesus nor law enforcement nor psychiatry will fix this kid. Some people are just born homicidal, like Ted Bundy. What they do with him is a good question. They can't just let him live among other people, can they?

This was in Texas, correct? Don't expect things to improve. The Governor just granted a full pardon to a convicted murderer of a BLM protestor.

There were unlocked guns all around my house growing up in the seventies. Knowing what my dad would do to me kept me from touching them.

    • @nyxspiritsong5557
      @nyxspiritsong5557 13 дней назад

Same. Dad taught us from the time we started walking to never touch the guns unless he was with us. Took gun safety courses when we were a bit older. Taught guns are tools not toys. ...
Unfortunately, some people are just wired wrong and there isn't a whole lot we can do except try and keep them from hurting others

@@Reclaim-the-Rainbow it still baffles me how a country that thinks so much of itself is still going by the rules made by old men, hundreds of years ago! They had a right to bear arms.... They had powder guns that took a time to load! Not like guns today, the country is so backward it doesn't know which way is forward!!

Yes it would also just mean that the bad guys are the only ones with guns 🤷🏼‍♀️ criminals don’t pay attention to laws so either way they’d still own them

  • @scott_celt

The owner of the gun should have been charged with Manslaughter plus the parents should also be charged. And the boy doesn't need Jesus he needs better parents.

And people are still insisting that violent movies and video games and news stories don’t make kids and youths inexplicably violent, even psychopathic. Inuring human beings, especially kids, to random violence and disconnection from their human instincts of empathy and compassion, can only lead to increasing psychopathy and sociopathy. It’s past time we started addressing these sociological issues that affect all of us.
