i disagree. top players to an extent let go of creativity and the game is stripped down to mixups and nothing else. playing RPS over and over gets repetitive in time

Kind of unrelated, but I really like the tournament HUD around the life bars and under the character portraits before the matches. It just fits so perfectly.

Nobody plays Ryu like Tokido can, and nobody plays Nash like Infiltration can.
It's freaken amazing how a player is able fully express their play style while at the same time be able to play to the strengths of their character in this game.
Ultra David must be exhausted from commenting all day. He mixed up so many names lol. Calling Tokido as Mago in the beginning of the first set and mixing up Tokido and Infiltration after the first set.

So top 8 of first SFV tournament with more than 1000 competators has all different caracters, thats pretty amazing, game seems to be well balanced...... + really like to see infiltration win it, seems to be a straight up guy with lots of humor and sportmanship!!

I'm all for spending bar to take a round but I feel like cashing in a Shinkuu Hadoken when basically next touch would have killed them was a bit much. An EX Hadoken could have done the trick too.

Tokido's charging Hadouken was obvious,Infiltration saw that coming.
Nash's V-trigger actually isn't even invincible on the first frame, so it only worked because Infiltration knew Tokido would mess up the setup.

Why does inflitration choose to use his super at the start of the round or as soon as he gets it? wouldnt it be more effective to save the meter as a threat in the middle of the round as an anti-air or a way to punish fireballs?

because in high lvl play you won't get many opportunities to build so much dmg. not to mention meter can built quickly

One of the best fights I've seen between pros. Tokido is definitely the more entertaining Ryu player, unlike boring ass daigo. Infiltration is a beast of a player to best someone like tokido that way.

+cpthurme If someone just wins they get a V for Victory, if they win using their Critical Art they get a CA
It depends on how you win.
V = K.O with a normal or special move.
Ex = K.O with an Ex move.
CA = K.O with a Critical Art.
C = K.O by chip damage.
T = winning by time out
D = double K.O

Ryu was a little too aggro not enough defense. Its super easy to get cocky with characters like him but in the end its going to cost you.
