Holy shit the dramatic irony of NL painstakingly working through who should get the Garlic Armor while we all stare at the 2 coins in the top-left corner of the screen was an exceedingly fine squeeze.
I think what I love most about these most recent episodes is that he’s taking a lot of units he considered not worth taking. He has a much greater variety in the mid game animals he takes
I have noticed in some of my broad scales that you do gain a significant boon from getting a scorpion to 21 damage, because then it can kill thru melon. I have yet to dream of having a scorpion survive mutliple hits...
In the first round, if matchmaking is unaffected by wins, he would have had a 10 win squad if he just moved his rabbit to the back. Twice he had 6 hp left on the opponent and the rabbit did 3 then the swan did 6 with 3 overkill.
Early game, even today? Cupcake you beefiest boy for a temp boost and buy a crab with permanent boost! Mind you, the rebalance crab sets health to max on team on buy only now.
Man, as hype as it is when NL intentionally makes seemingly suboptimal plays and still wins, it hurts to see him not run tiger snake when the game gives it to him twice on high hp builds with low attack.
12:50 actually if the scorpion has more than 20 attack it insta-kills through the melon armor so it scales poorly until it gets past 20 attack and then it's the biggest pog around
“How did you get such good stats early?”… that’s the duck build you keep sleeping on! Lose first two rounds to buy max ducks, and then find 3 good tier 2 animals to get +1/+1 for each duck you sell, and selling the ducks gives you more gold to reroll… it makes each duck give +3/+3 stats! ggs…
The crab still seems bad to me, though it does enable some fruity snake/kangaroo plays (though even then it's not more useful in those engines as any other scaled unit) but i hope this video has opened eyes to the forbidden technique of scaling scorpions so they can 1) pierce melon and 2) take a single hit maybe
I've never given a crab a chance after this video I did and I got a quick 6 wins with bad shops and no scaling. Definitely deserves consideration from time to time
Muh egg, science is observation, recording, learning, trying, innovating and sharing... THAT covers almost everything fun in life. Painting, music, sports, dancing, engineering, fashion, sex, gaming, drugs, travel... I know you know this. Just had to put in words.
It is actually possible to get a scorpion to 50/50. I did it based on a level 2 dragon, but still only got 8 wins because of like 8 draws early game meaning basically every squad had reached their final form.
I honestly can't believe the day came where I saw him take a Squirrel. I'm not even sure it was the right play but I am not sure it was the wrong play either.
He called the swan “her”, and I tried to think about whether all the other animals are boys, and I realized idk because he always refers to them in the second person (ie you piece)
duck kind of suck BUT if you get the rare opportunity to throw round 1 by rolling 3 ducks then please do it. it sets you up for an early stomp when you sell the three ducks and buy three shop units who are absurdly large for round 2
I almost want to see a team that uses crab, parrot, and dodo, with a high health front unit, and maybe some attack scaling on the crab. Crab gets health from high health front unit, parrot copies crab and gets the same health, and dodo buffs parrot's attack. Unless I'm incorrect about proccing order and parrot copies before the buff; honestly we need a proper wiki that also gives order priority for abilities and buffs. Otherwise, nix the parrot and have two units behind the dodo. Crab and parrot really only need to be shop bought with no scaling, unless you want higher attack on the crab in a build that has both, assuming priorities don't ruin the crab+parrot build. Dodo scaling and leveling depends on shop RNG, low level high scale, mid level mid scale, or high level low scale; dodo also adds attack, not replace it, so figuring where you need to be would be y+zx limit 50, y being the buffed unit's unmodified attack, z being dodo's level, and x being dodo's attack, so a 25 attack level 1 dodo would be fine for a 25 attack unit being buffed, same with a 12 attack level 2 dodo on the same unit, though that would result in 49 attack. A good front unit would be a level 2+ turtle for melon armor, health scaled up of course. Octopus could be a good rear unit if you can level it quickly; though I don't quite understand it's leveling still, level 2 is +8/+8 plus 'a new ability,' and level 3 is 5 attack to every enemy before attack. Again, if ability/buff priority doesn't work for the parrot in this way, nix it and have an additional unit, either as a dead space for buy-sell meta, or for a permanent unit, a scaled scorpion at the front would be great for this build. The only problem is getting shop RNG to actually produce a team like this; I almost wish there was a build simulator for SAP, just to test different metas and proc priority without playing hundreds of hours just to get the build you want to test.
Does anyone knows if squirrel -> cow works? Like freeze cow, buy squirrel, sell squirrel buy cow and then u got like 6 milks Edit: nvm squirrel overwrite freeze, but that would be sick
I think if you were rolling two cows and did a little combine me with a shop full of food, there would be a chance that you'd get milked. That would be so poggers.
The worm bunny build is just bad, because at the point where the work has 50 health he just forgets about it, even though having more attack on it would be wonderful
I actually won a run with a lvl 3 pig with garlic and 50 hp lvl 2 crab with splash attack lvl 2 rabbit with steak, lvl 2 penguin with steak, and lvl 2 monkey and I won by 2 hp on my last life. The crab meta is real
Yes I STILL don't believe in the crab and this is why. The heath is nice but the damage just isn't there unless you scale it, which is a waste since it copies health.
Yeah, it's good early but you have pivot eventually which is tough. I still think it's good just because you get a good unit for a few rounds with zero investment
Holy shit the dramatic irony of NL painstakingly working through who should get the Garlic Armor while we all stare at the 2 coins in the top-left corner of the screen was an exceedingly fine squeeze.
It didn't even matter... What an amazing NLism. Haha
I didnt even see the 2 gold 💀 felt betrayed
Great moment!

I thought it was a re upload at first.

In the first round, if matchmaking is unaffected by wins, he would have had a 10 win squad if he just moved his rabbit to the back. Twice he had 6 hp left on the opponent and the rabbit did 3 then the swan did 6 with 3 overkill.

This is my first super auto pets video. I have been missing out.
Nevermind the crab, I'm just happy to see the rabbit get some respect.

The beginning is the best thing about this series. The constant banter never gets old. Chat is always getting bodied by NL
Never bet against a crab when NL is involved. He lives in the bucket.

NL has a real crustacean fixation. First he gets addicted to shrimp scampi strats, now he's going all in on the crab Rangoon build
So he will be taking lobster soon lmao

It was in fact, the way.

Dodo + Crab is alright
@@TrevorJuve Full agree. Got a 10 win marty earlier today with a cracked Swan / Crab / Dodo as my front 3.
The crab is in need of a nerf frankly. Only the skunks are countering the insane crab builds you see everywhere now.

No ones arguing agaisnt NL that scaling isn’t pog but he’s gotta make an imaginary enemy to keep up the drive.
