Please checkout the playlist for more background info and range time. Also, we have a very indepth look at the TGI FEG AMD coming up next week. It really gets into just how/who built it.
I bought that Clearview Investment AMD63 on a whim a few years back. Its a bit ugly but very light ( 7lbs) & a great shooter. Wish it had a higher quality barrel w/ chrome lining but it shoots great for now. Thanks for showing these Hungarian rifles...they dont get enough love & attention that they deserve.
You got the best info on the Hungrier. Thanks for sharing the knowledge brother. From another disabled guy to another keep up the fight my man, very kool and mad props man......
oh man it feels so good to watch your videos. I've been busy trying to get a job(I have a job interview on monday) and maybe with this job I can start buying some guns.
I have a custom AMD 65 with an all hungarian kit with 12 in barrel on a Nodak Spud side folder receiver with the triangle folding stock. Whoever built the gun got Nodak Spud to match the serial number on the receiver with the kit's serial number
Great to see this beautiful Hungarian Variant getting some love and respect. I checked out some of your videos and I am fucking impressed, pardon my French! You remind me of my grandfather, whom is also missing his eyesight but a firearms aficionado and your channel is very refreshing my brother, so you have earned a new subscriber and I am so happy to have found you! Thanks for doing what you do and keep up the good work out of mutual love for these beautiful rifles! Much love.
A little correction the "F" stands for "fa" meaning wood. The "D" stands for "desszant" meaning amphibious or something akin to that "a quick moving military unit behind enemy lines deployed via air or sea.".
@@pieterwillembotha6719 The definition I found in the official word lexicon: "A quick moving military unit behind enemy lines deployed via air or sea." It has it's root in the French word, but the meaning is a bit warped.
@@-Seeker- so, would it be akin to any parachute regiment/battalion/whatever whether deployed by land or sea? EDIT: the folding stock on the rifle is what paratroopers are/were typically issued in the former soviet bloc countries, though certain countries like KZ/UZ/KG still use the AKS74 for their paratroopers. Not trying to be a smartass, just wanting to share my thought process.
@@pieterwillembotha6719 I understand your thought process as it's the exact same as mine was before I looked up the word for an exact definition. And it was used by paratroopers for the vast majority. "Légideszant" or 'Airborne Deszant' is the more specific word for paratoopers. "Vizi deszant" or 'Waterborne Deszant' refers to water based deployments. Both words contain the word deszant, so I think they just used it as a catch-all phrase.
I have a Clearview AMD. It eas ku first AK and got me interested. I own 7 from various countries now but this one is mu favorite. i put an uktimak with a peq 15, eotech on a TWS mount, surefire bolted to the sheet metal handguard and a dead air wolverine. swapped the barrel to a AKB 12.5 inch and now its cool.
I have one of the Clearview guns but its marked SA 2000 with no M and does have a chrome lined barrel, wood pistol grips. Thanks for the information on the clearview guns
My AMD 63 had really bad front to back mag wobble to the point that sometimes it wouldn't pick up the next round. The M+M mag catch fixed it, and now there is no wobble, and no failure to pick up a round since installing it.
Mine has the 1 piece brake, nodak spud receiver w sling loop, says sa2000m TGI. So mine is just a sa2000m parts kit put together bY TGI using a nodak spud US receiver I think. What’s the difference between SA2000M kit build vs AMD65 kit build?
I was told by the owner of Clearview(super nice guy ) that he bought FEGS inventory when they went bankrupt and imported them as kits and most of them are built up as guns or exist as parts kits.
Love your videos, I know a guy with a akm 63 with much nicer wood hand grips than the ones in your video. Clearview investments used to sell AMD 65 kits for $89 and you could also buy them back then on eBay at the time. AK-47 man was another seller he had a background photo with black and white checkered floor tiles. You could also buy kits at centerfire systems for $89 I believe. What do you think a akm 63 mint condition kit would be worth now?
US receiver and barrel, original FEG bolt group and trunnions. A bit of a mixed bag there, but generally not at all a bad rifle probably if bought at the right price.
Awesome video as usual! I hate to beat a dead horse but do you think Arsenal will ever bring back a 5.45 AK74? Timing legitimately screwed me out of getting a brand new one before they were discontinued...
Sorry to say but no. Both Jay and I own an SLR104FR, and they are fantastic rifles. Id suggest looking for a gently used SLR105A1 online. I found mine last year without much effort and is a great rifle too. I do have a couple SLR104URs just kind of stuck back. If interested, feel free to e-mail me.
Unfortunately, its not that simple. Also if all gun channels simply leave youtube, then the anti-gunners effectively win. Its good to stay here too if for no other reason to annoy them lol.
YOu don't see too many of those kits floating around. You could always get a postban SA 85m and replace the thumbhole stock with a military wood stock and grip, and then you'd have a pretty auccrate AK63F though.

>Have a feaverish passion for the AMD and AKM63
>Click on to youtube and find a video explicitly on those rifles.

I thought it was more like "descent" obliging to the paratroopers.

Another great video. I have a thing for wire folding stocks when it comes to aesthetics, I hate shooting with them though.
Misha, I assume you are aware of the change in youtube policy beginning in April. Do you have any contingency plans in case it negatively effects you?
was curious about these and seen a Mishaco video. no need for any further searching :)

Just got an amd65 cool to hear the history
Do all of the feg sa2000m guns have US made barrels? As far as you know.
My AMD 63 had really bad front to back mag wobble to the point that sometimes it wouldn't pick up the next round. The M+M mag catch fixed it, and now there is no wobble, and no failure to pick up a round since installing it.
Probably someone got a bit happy with the cutting that day on your rifle.
Thank you brother for the knowledge!

Thank you for another great Ak variant video to keep me amused while I'm stuck in the bed.
Happy to help! Get well soon man.
Mishaco Thank you
Great informative video thanks
What’s the life expectancy of the stock barrel?
Kind of depends how much and often you fire it. Also on cleaning and other factors. Even with military barrels they all last a bit differently.
15 to 20k is the average number if it is an original CHF barrell though it should work fine well past that....

I work for ak47 man. Hes still in buissness
Tim didn't clean the weapon before giving it back? Shame Timmy, shame! Thanks for the share!!
Heard of an AMD 63 from clearview being absurdly overgassed, needs a KNS adjustable piston or it beats itself to death.
Thoughts on the Ak63ds other than it's got 4140 barrel Mishaco?

The AMD65 always seemed like the weird cousin of all the AK variants
haha yeah, it is definitely its own thing.
a fekete puska sosem vot AMD 65/5!🖓
