Love this man, put together a google doc for this upcoming wipe on what to aim for. Do you think you could possibly put together a couple build guides for people who don't always have a disposable amount of cash? Lets say like a mid tier build?
my current "bis" ranger kit is 136 hp, 310 ms, 27 action speed, 26 phys power bonus, using LB and spear, quickfire and shotgun, would u reccomend any changes? its a trios build. also i dont have grimsiles but i would lose phys power if i did cuz im using capped purple ring of courages, is it still worth it to get gimmsmiles?
For the rings, it depends on the rolls. Purple strength rings can be more powerful but will give less health. Quick fire allows for more consistent hits with the LB but I am going to be posting a video on how double shot is super strong too. I think your kit sounds good. The shotgun is for the rogue or panther and the spear is used while close when your team can’t afford to take the time for you to reload.
This is very great for guide new player avoid those gear they shouldn't wear, maybe there's a chance that you run a video about how mid gear(below 3k budget or etc) ranger should ply!
Thank you for the video! On your trifecta build, is there any gear that I should swap out if I am using a survival bow + Spear instead? Should I prioritize more on movement speed if I am on survival bow?
Make sure you have at least 7 true phys damage. You want to have either quick fire or forceful shot along with quick shot. You’re going to be playing much closer so you need to have a tanky front line that can zone for you and you need to play modules that are close quarters (as opposed to long distance like goblin jail). Spear wouldn’t be bad either. I would try and hit 110% move speed with that build so you don’t worry about rogue ambush. It could be very strong for sure!
@@elimz9393 That’s what I am here for! I want to respond to everyone while i’m still small enough of a channel to do so. Thanks again for your support, it means a lot, Elimz!

1.5 is great for sure! Definitely better than the other cloaks with stats that you won’t use. (will) But I prefer dex or strength. I haven’t run it nor do I see rangers use it but you might be on to the secret tech.
Yes, Ranger has a perk call crossbow mastery that allows you to reload crossbows faster and it makes their damage slightly more. Crossbows are good for peaks and flick shots because there is no draw. However, crossbows are bad because the Ranger perks and skills are much more effective with bows. Crossbows can’t use multi shot, quick shot, quick fire is best for draw speed, etc.
very great video, I know you main ranger. do you think you could transfer your knowledge into other classes as well? I would appreciate a video of this detail and quality for fighter(I play) or cleric(my best friend play). Thanks for the video!
I get rid of nimble hands unless im using the survival bow in which case I would switch out sharpshooter because you aren’t hitting headshots as much with the survival bow Some rangers say that nimble hands is mandatory with longbow but I don’t agree. Just watch your dex/action speed.
@@thedarkharvester Hmm that's interesting. I never took off nimble hands because the longbow feels slow to draw without it. But I've never played with a real high dex build. I'll try it.
Great video for a new player to watch. This helped me understand a few more things about the game i didnt consider. I was running the warden outfit with Strength rolls. The static agility and low move speed penalty is incentive for me to put my tits away. I think maybe my BIS is different though because i run 124 gear score usually. I like green lightfoots with max move speed roll because 15 movespeed goes a long way for sub 125 gear score and theyre usually only 500 gold. I havent even considered the heavy boots before but ill try it out. Also for sub 125 the copperlight strawhat is bis for me =) i also noted that you didn't recommend agility in the necklace but you did for the rings. I was curious about that one
Primarily because I run shotgun so my close quarters power comes from that. Also, spear takes a perk away from my ranged damage. Spear is extremely strong but the counter to it is to just run up as close as possible so that the spear doesn’t hit you with with its tip (the most damage). Spear also does not allow for light so walking in rooms with lights off is more dangerous. Rapier is quick and the attack pattern is great. It allows for a lantern too. Both are good! I have won melee fights strictly because I had a spear (range) though so it does have its benefits for sure.
@@thedarkharvester right on thanks. I've only ever run spear even with shotgun build, but you're much better than me so I'll definitely be giving your advice a try this weekend!

I wish somebody would make a vid about equivalent stats to streamline kit creation, like how much physical damage or power I need to equate flat weapon damege.
wdym? 0% physical power bonus = damage equal to weapon damage (assumming u have no additional damage rolls, the enemy player has 0% physical and projectile damage reduction, you hit them in the chest and not the limbs or head). its basically impossible to know how much damage you are doing to someone, especially on ranger because arrows have damage drop off based on how far they go. if you are asking how much physical power bonus is equivalent to gettting 1 weapon damage, you literally have to search up the damage formula and do the math because depending on the weapon you are using the answer changes
