Academy Class 253 Day One

Correctional Academy Class 253 began on November 14. Seventy-two trainees will undergo 19 weeks of instruction in criminal law, constitutional issues, self-defense and firearms training. Congratulations to the newest class of recruits.

@Sydonnie Robinson, My name is Robert Ortiz and I retired from the Hudson County Department of Corrections in 2015 after 28 years of service. I want to wish you the best in your new role as a correctional police officer. Keep your head up and look out for one another. Be proud and ignore negativity and always remember that you as a law enforcement officer are held to a higher professional standard than a civilian.
