Great video mate, been putting together everything I need for this mod, bigger battery, iFlash SD Adapter, and Taptic feedback, but I was hoping to use the 3D print STL button file from the video, any idea when it'll be updated?
Great video, was wearing for someone to do the bluetooth mod on the 4th gen iPod, keep up with tbe great work! Question: When will you start selling it on your site and what will be the price?😅
Hey mate I might be a lil late to the party but I got a 4th gen nano working with Bluetooth. Yea a nano, but idk if u can do it with your default Bluetooth module. And I used a shuffle 2nd gen battery
Hello! I have a question. Do you have an Ipod nano 4th generation LCD frame? I started to open my 4th gen, and I messed up the frame in the process because the battery was pushing up on the screen. I cant seem to find the frame anywere and im not sure i can fix it without the frame. Please let me know if you have a spare one whenever you can. Thank you! (Btw love your content)
oh yeah, the weird port on the 3rd and 4th gens is for the inline wired remote that you could clip onto your jeans pocket or belt and it'd let you play/pause, adjust volume and skip/replay tracks without reaching into your pocket. the 1st and 2nd gens have it too except there its an extra ring around the headphone jack
I did the 3000mah mod, however it was with the thin backplate and i crammed an iflash ata into the spot where the battery is. it involved using a hacksaw to cut off part of the iflash (no electrical traces on it tho so that part was easy) and then finding a half heigh sd to microsd adapter since a full sd also wouldn't fit. it was fiddly but quite some fun to pull off
Since you have tested this bluetooth board with a separated button, could you try and make one with the 5th gen where the button is located just at the back of the headphone jack? I've looked and the headphone jack has a little hole in the housing just taped with a plastic, which you can puncture and see through. I thought that maybe removing the clicker from the back of the jack, maybe we could fit a button in there, at the back of the headphone jack, or even leave the clicker there to keep the button in place idk. I think it would nice to have a hidden button there that you could trigger with a toothpick or something and the headphone jack is now "open" we can plug it with a dust plug since we would not be using the port when in bluetooth mode. Thought that would be cool and in theory should be doable!
Hey, i stopped selling on ebay a couple of months ago as sales there had been declining for a while and it just didnt make sense for me any more. Everything is just through the website now.
plz sell this as a full already soldered kit :')
vary cool love the vids keep up the great work

Dude love your vids mate, especially the one where you put Bluetooth in a shuffle👍🏻

Yea it works but I did a Taptic Engine mod with it so idk if you can leave the clicker
do you think using a boost converter to convert the 3.7v signal to 5v would help with the background noise?
the connector next to the jack one is for the remote control if i remember correctly at 3:00
very very cool my friend !!! 😎
Maybe a white buttom will be more beautiful with this ipod 4th photo
Does RockBox work with Bluetooth mod?
i think the other port was for the ipod remote
Hey man what happened to the eBay store?
Hey, i stopped selling on ebay a couple of months ago as sales there had been declining for a while and it just didnt make sense for me any more. Everything is just through the website now.
I just want you to know that I did it first, long before a tutorial existed for this model. It was also my first successful soldering project.
