I love the "will he/won't he" with a redemption arc he has in season 3. Every time I think he's gonna change.... NOPE. A Train is so conflicted, disconnected from reality, spoiled, selfish, hypocritical that when he truly does try he makes it worse but the most pathetic part is that he KNOWS he's pathetic and pretends it doesn't bother him. He literally runs from his problems and when there's a solution he runs through that and directly into a worse one. Great writing and performance.
@@trevturp6891instead of even trying to change he just does the same things over & over again only changing when his family gets hurt despite how many he had hurt and that is very pathetic
A-Train didn't know that killing Blue Hawk was the exact opposite of what his brother wanted. And he didn't rob his brother of Blue Hawk facing the repercussions of his actions, when he killed Blue Hawk, because he made Blue Hawk face the repercussions of his actions by killing him.
Exept Blue Hawk was martyred and all his crimes where swept under the rug meaning A-train robbed justice from all the other people due to his own selfishness. Also A-train agreed with this because it was the only way to keep his clout showing that he truly cares more about his image than anything else even though at this point in the seven The Deep is unironicaly more respected than him. Plus he was willing to sell out his own race for clout somthing even Blue Hawk didn't due. Because he was racist but still better to be racist than hurt your own race for gain.
In starlight's words "you fucking coward, why are you so obsesse with working for the guys who hate and are not fans of you." There hitting that a-train is going throw a redemption arc ( joining Billy gang in taking down homelander ) Because there nothing holding him back But his fear for homelander and his obsession to remain in the seven.
I still hope A Train gets some Heroic Moment in season 4 I mean sure he did a heroic deed in season 2 and 3 ( Exposing Stormfront and killing Blue Hawk) but like you said it was merely for his own benefit
cause it was he helped exposing stormfront because well she racist b*tchy and well she's stormfront and he killed bluehawk because he hurt his brother not because it'd be for the greater good
It’s funny. Because before watching the boys. I saw the character and saw he was a speedster and I was like. “Dam. I’m going to like this character” how wrong I was
All speedsters in shows either die early or are just bad (flash just has a bad show in general, red rush dies like first season, and A train is in The Boys)
@@CRPit red rush was the ultimate chad, carried his team and even while having his skull crushed in slow-mo was still punching omni-man's rock-hard chest. Compare that to the virgin tv show flash who has trouble with regular people and needs a pep talk from his team to run.
I would argue that when he killed Blur Hawk, he knew going as fast as he did would probably kill him. I’d argue that he was comfortable with death after avenging his brother and the people BH hurt, as he was also (at least in his mind) atoning for his own sins. However, when he ended up being saved by Vought, I think he was disappointed. He didn’t seem to want to do anything that they told him, but at that point he just accepted his fate, because again…don’t piss off Homelander. At that moment he didn’t care about fame or fortune, and in his own way, he was taking responsibility for his actions by taking Blue Hawk with him to the grave. But Vought robbed him of that, and when Homelander in season 3 chastises him for killing BH, A-Train looked at Black Noir’s mask and of course saw right through Homelander’s hypocrisy, so I’d argue that he is kind of turning over a new leaf, it just isn’t going to end in the way anyone hopes, because in the end…this is the Boys.
I think A-Train is on a Redemption that will be finalized in his death. I really love how his character evolved from a douchie sheltered supe to a vigilante enemy of my enemy type of guy. I hope to see a lot of him in season 4
So many of these flaws are literally shared by so many of the shitty superhero characters. Hating him second to Homelander is fucking crazy though. I think there's something personal you have against him but I'm not going there man.
I said the same thing. Like most of the boys fanbase hate A train with a passion when he’s just like the rest of the seven. Dude even likes blue hawk, someone who’s worse. Also him saying he’s worse than homelander is definitely telling that this is more personal.
ATrain is just the worst. Atleast Homelander recognizes and just doesn't care that hes a psychopath. While Atrain straight up blames everyone else for what he does wrong, just directly. The dumbo just tells Hughie that Hughie killed his girlfriend, PopClaw. When Atrain did that AND he killed Hughie's gf too. Don't even get me started on how he snitches on Supersonic and gets him killed too... But nooooo, hes somehow redeemed because he murdered AGAIN. Murdered someone who he has NO proof of being guilty. Yeah, don't forget that part. The Boys NEVER SHOWED what happened to Raymond Tucker to know if Blue Hawk is ACTUALLY guilty of anything. TL:DR Atrain = The Worst
@@9ninrninr947 Blue Hawk was definitely a racist though, and I think his dynamic that he’s a fuckup who always gamble and loses (killing Blue Hawk only for his brother to despise him) is definitely interesting. At the season finale, A-Train did start recognizing that what he did was wrong when both Starlight and Ashley pointed their fingers at him and witnessed BH paralyzing the only person who still cares about him.
@@dungww2006 We don't know that. He might be, he might not be. All we know is the show tries desperately to paint him as one. Also, I’m not sure if A-Train entirely knew (I haven’t watched the show in a day minute so forgive me if I’m wrong) what his brother wanted when it came to blue hawk, and it makes for a good contrast between him and Hughie, as A-Train rushed his revenge which compliments speedster self, and because of that, he’s got nothing left, while Hughie has grown significantly further past a much more severe and traumatic experience by being patient. I think this could pave a way for A-Train to finally grow on his own
