You can do it without tools, just remove the plastic around the drive by pulling on it, it come easily, after that, pull by behind the drive, it comes easy too!

Hi, no sorry, we haven't had a vehicle in with that option.
If I take the Cd player like you did cuz of a Head unit upgrade, how do I cover that " hole" ? Is there any lid or something?
I'm not sure if there is a cover available, but one option may be a glovebox that doesn't have the disc drive option.
