  • Guide on how to remove the headlight assembly on a Seat Leon Mk3 (5F), models 2013-2019.
    Models years: 2013 / 2014 / 2015 / 2016 / 2017 / 2018 / 2019
    The model in the video is an FR model, but the process is the same for all other models including Cupra etc. Also, the headlight on this vehicle is the LED type, but again, the process is the same for halogen, xenon etc. We removed the lower bracket with the headlight, but this can be removed after if required.

    Stumbled across this video as I was looking for “ how to remove the rear light” …
    just for curiosity thought I would have a quick look just to see how the front one is to remove just if I ever had to ... I’m not very good at doing this type of job to be honest but watching this video would give me so much confidence if I had to do this job as this video is absolutely brilliant. Very informative and extremely helpful if I ever get in that situation. Absolutely brilliant and well done !👍🏽😊

    Modern car industry - you have to tear apart half the car to remove the headlights. 😕 Good and useful video, thanks. 🤘🙂 Do you perhaps know if this seat model that comes with halogen lights can be fitted with LED lights that go on higher equipment levels? Just mount without software issues?

      Sorry we aren't sure on that one, we've not tried this ourselves.

      Ah, about the upgrade, yes, you can mount LED headlights BUT you need to get them programmed. This headlights are no longer plug and play.

    Can I just replace the LEDs on my headlight instead of buying a new headlight because my driver side headlight has stopped working for some weird reason

    I need to replace the driver's side headlight on my 2016 Leon Cupra. No fogs or washer jets but I have parking sensors. Do I need to remove the whole bumper including arch liner and parking sensors like in the video? Or is just dropping the bumper on to the floor enough.

    • @SelectVehicleSpares
      @SelectVehicleSpares  3 месяца назад +1

      You may be able to get away with just removing the front arch liner fittings and the one side of the bumper. This should allow the bumper to move forward enough to get to the headlight fittings. Removing the top central bumper fittings will also help.

      @SelectVehicleSpares  3 месяца назад

      @@richardhurr31 Yes I would think so, as long as there's enough length on the cable. Personally I would unplug them, it's easy enough to do and then you don't risk pulling on the wires.
