This was a very dark episode besides the title. I really tapped into the Jekyll and Hyde dynamic between David and the creature and even created a third more malevolent variant and both banner and the Hulk. Bixby really conveyed that sense of malice and madness that you never saw it coming. Brilliant actor deeply missed and amazing performance in this episode. And Lou, as The Hulk, looked a lot more scarier since it looked as though he was going to turn cannibal on that worker. It's a good thing that David managed to get all of his things together including the tape recorder off camera after he had calm down and hit the road at episodes end. Leaving behind any kind of paper trail would've been damning.
Yeah, this was a good episode. Probably shouldn't be injecting yourself with experimental drugs while living in a families house. 😆

I've done stupid things myself so I can't really judge, but the fact that he had a malady that turned him into a raging green creature with superhuman strength should have given him the foresight to do this ELSEWHERE. And speaking of stupid, why the hell is the dad so desperate to get his daughter off of her crush on David that he tries to pimp her out to the popular boy in the neighborhood?

@@Artisan1979 I think He figured David was too old for her. And as confirmed in the episode he has only been back from his travels for a few days and hasn’t seen David as himself that much.
I know that it wasn't supposed to be funny, but when that big green arm comes out of nowhere and grabs the side of beef, I couldn't stop laughing
Bill Bixby show his genius acting in this episode.
The hulk was very upset, his meat 🍖 wasn't marinated or smoke roasted 😄

Dark Side was an episode of the late Bill Bixby as you never ever seen him before. Instead of his kindness of saying farewell to certain people he change lives to he sees a different side of himself that you didn't expect to see in him.

Anybody remember any episodes where the Hulk tossed a guy and you thought to yourself, "not sure that guy survived that." I remember one episode where he tossed some guy down a stairwell. It didn't show the guy hitting the ground but it couldn't have ended well for that dude. Can't remember the episode. I know generally the Hulk didn't want to kill because Banner wasn't a killer.

Yeah when I was a kid I didn't think much of the Hulk throwing people, I figured OK he's a good guy, he doesn't kill anyone. Hulk just throws people, usually into a lake or a haystack. But then you get older and realize throwing someone really far can still get them seriously hurt, even killed. There were times Hulk threw a guy into a wall or onto a roof. He didn't always have a lake or a pile of hay or mud to break someone's fall either. This is where I guess we have to accept the plot armor that the bad guys never get hurt or even seriously injured, because in reality you would probably break an arm or leg, even worse getting thrown so violently by the Hulk into a wall or 15 or 20 feet into the air only to land onto the ground.

Hulk got pissed off because the meat was frozen and was suppose to be Roasted & smoked to his delight !!!
It was brilliant how the Hulk was portrayed as a mindless monster who still, because of Banner’s nature in him, knew his limits
This was the closest episode where the Hulk comes close to killing someone but he didn’t but close to it
The courtroom scene in Trial of the Incredible Hulk was also very violent , even for the Hulk! That was scary too!

No it isn't, Devil Hulk wasn't introduced until 1999. Just like how Bruce's Dad wasn't introduced until 1982.
I don’t know maybe because like for me at least I feel as though This Incredible Hulk tv episode “dark side” in which was filmed in (1980), set of events must have definitely influenced some of the mindless hulk personality characteristics traits from within the comics with it first being conjured up in (1984). and could have also possibly gave some material basis for Joe fixit/grey hulk’s first made in (1986); alternate personality traits to form such as like how the twisted variant of banner’s psyche enjoy’s eating chicken or meat just like joe does in the graphic novels.
You can't eat meat that's frozen or plastic, either one.
