Fun fact......the last shots featured in this clip of the Hulk running and jumping off the roof, as well as him running off into the parking lot is not actually Lou Ferrigno, but his stunt double Manny Perry!
This is my SINGLE gripe about the TV Series....the Hulk didn't do enough LEAPING.
Love this scene as once again the late great Bill bixby showed his true acting talent like nobody else could in this scene as he noticed the gunner on the roof. Showing concen for Carol as the ringer went off for the race to start and raced to get to the top of the roof to stop her father who is the gunner, great show!

Darling David...I love how he excuses himself going through the crowd when he sees the sniper.
Lots of other guys, especially in hero shows would simply shove their way through knocking people over or would yell, "Move! Move!"
I love how David doesn't do that...so polite even when scared or/and stressed.
Well...he has to be polite if he started shoving and mouthing off they would start shoving back...bad idea 😆 his character was smart enough to know I guess

Colvin was a great actor. Producers were always trying to get more work for him, they expanded his role too include more episodes, and more reasons why he was pursuing the creature.

Before McGee learns that it's a man that turns into the creature, I wonder how he theorizes how the hulk just appears out of nowhere? In the middle of a crowd? Under a car in a car wash? In a pit? He had to suspect something. Without that fundamental detail, the hulk looks like he's committing punk behavior lol.
Not to mention the question of why he'd be wearing pants and a tattered shirt.

@@Cincinnatus1869 Hulk once appeared in the middle of a pro football game that was presumably televised in front of a crowd of thousands and ran through the entire defensive line and knocked over the goal. Surely his existence has to be public knowledge.
Loved this show as a kid, but have to say this episode would’ve been cooler if he’d shrugged off a hasty poorly aimed shot and then bent that rifle into a pretzel instead of just throwing it away.
I appears that the "horse tonic" is Nightmare Proof....but not Pain Proof.

That was a long way up there. The Hulk from the 70's TV show couldn't jump as far as the Hulk in the comic books. I don't think they ever showed him jumping up more than 20 or 30 feet vertical.
Because the money wasn't in the budget to pull that special effect. CBS and marvel were cheap in those days 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That version of the Hulk could only jump as high as the current 2021 Black Window character.

If that sniper had much better eyesight when he looked through the telescope on the rifle he was holding before he was going to shoot the jockey riding on Rainbow, he would've realized that it was his own daughter taking someone else's place. Good that the Hulk stopped him in time. Too bad McGee wasn't fast enough to catch up with the creature after seeing him come out of the crowd at the races.
But the Hulk got rid of the evidence!

My man changes at the drop of a hat! It always amazes me how untraumatized people seem to be right after seeing him. Even the cop was like, eh? Also, why not just jump up to the roof?!? He was very nice and considerate by taking the stairs.
I'm surprised that McGee never caught up with David Banner.
It really strains credibility that McGee didn't recognize "John Doe" as Banner once he had so many pieces of the puzzle--same voice, hair, build, etc. Plus no one ever found Banner's body. Pretty much the dumbest "investigative reporter" alive.

Watching these old clips of "The Incredible Hulk" is part laugh out loud funny/part frustrating for one reason: He NEVER really unloads on anyone. For a supposedly out-of-control, super strong ball of rage, Hulk growls a lot but he never really hurts anyone. I'm not advocating for violent tv, mind you. I'm just saying if your going to do "The Hulk", making him a real destroyer is the only way that makes any sense. If this type of creature really existed, there'd be a trail of body's and body parts from coast-to-coast. And another thing: How does every single person in this series who knew Banner was locked in that room/sitting in that chair/in that car/etc BEFORE he becomes The Hulk asks the question "What have you done with David?" or "Where's David?" AFTER he becomes The Hulk. They don't recognize that the tattered clothes "The Hulk" is wearing look exactly like the clothes Banner was wearing? The series is actually a lot more ridiculous than I remember it as a kid.
It can BEAT THE HELL OUT OF that "MCU/SHE HULK BS" ANYTIME!!!!
Or the fact that people see the Hulk change back into Banner, but no one asks any questions.
