How do you attach the D-Ring strap, if your bag hasn’t side panels, but seams on it‘s side? I think a rivet pushed through the seam might also unravel the whole seam. Any ideas?
If you buy a small rivet set from Amazon, it includes the rivet press for those sizes. That way it's less expensive. Using Chicago screws which you can use instead of rivets are even less expensive because they don't need a press or anything.

I think you have to ad it when you are at the end of the bag, like right before you finish it

The Metro double-zip pouch from minikins season 2 has a wristlet strap and no side panels. I just sewed it into the seam.
