Love the DIY process of this. Thanks for the great work and educational video!
Amazing work!! Thank you for all your help!!
Thanks to reddit i came across your video! I currently have a back up alarm in my 2002 Lexus IS300 and have been wanting a melody box for start up on the inside. I just ordered the parts and searching my home for a small plastic box to use. I didn't want to spend $50-80 on a melody box. So i am excited to see the results of this! Thank you for making the video!
wow that's cool that my video is helpful. Do you mind sharing the reddit link to my video?
Such a great video. Thank you ! Learned something new today!
Thank you so much 🥰
Wow awesome!!!
great video, thank you 👍👍
THANK YOU SO MUCH
Gracias crack. Buen video
Hey man great video. that text to speech website is awesome thanks!
Glad you liked it 🥰✌️
whooooooa you just saved me 70bucks , thaaaanks man
thanks for the info, now if my mazda MX6 GD is going to tell me konichiwa when I'm going to drive it haajajajajaj
What if I want to put more sounds on the chip and want it to play a random one is this possible?
Hey! I want to build this thing, so first, thank you for this instructions, seems pretty doable :D What I don't get is this japan-like ding-ding-ding sound when you power the board and then it plays your recorded voice. Is this ding-sound coming from the board itself or did you edited into your soundfile? Thx! :D
I edited my audio file with a ding dong sound added to it.
Question, is there a way to make it only play the sound when you turn on the engine? I don't like how it plays every time you go to ignition on because if I just need to close or open a window I don't want it to play the sound
Hmmm. It turns on if it detects power, so if you can figure out a way to power it from the time you turn on the engine then it will work as you wanted but then you could unplug it if you just want to just open or close your windows
Are you able to put multiple files onto the board and if so will the files be played randomly each time?
It won't be randomly. If you have multiple files, They will all be played one after the next.
What wheels is on your shirt?
RegaMasterEvo?
SlipStreamSw388?
dope af, doing this with a wattson voice line from apex legends
Nice video thanks ❤. I made my melody box using voice lines from Apex Legends, last video on my channel if you interested. Cheers
What's the module called?
Thanks im using your DIY for mine. Great instructions. Another question is if i run the wires to my car speakers will it be ok. Because if the speakers are playing music the signal will be driven back to the melody box's speaker output line. Will it be bad for the melody electronics? thanks
not sure if it will work or not but you can always try.
@@SimplyMod85 check out my melody box install :)
Very nice,,may I buy package of melody box and sent to Indonesia please..🙏
hey
what is the maximum wattage of the speakers you can put there
I’m not sure the max wattage but something small would work?
Hello what are you installing at 5:35 (I don't speak English very well)
I’m soldering a piece of wire to the trigger button to jump the connection so when the module receives power, it will turn on automatically.
@@SimplyMod85 ah it's just a wire, I had not seen well, thank you for your answer 👍 You are the best !
Quick question, what did you replace the trigger button with? it seems so fast t-t
I jumped the connection with a piece of wire. Meaning I solder a piece of wire to the connection point where the trigger button was. This allows the chip to turn on without pressing the button
And how do you connect this to car system to hear through car speakers
This might be a bit tricky, which I have no answer for . Sorry 😞
Quick question, does it support playing multiple random audios or can it only play one audio?
It will play all the clips in the device, so it won't be random.
did you add the chime at the start of the clip?
Yes
@@SimplyMod85 where did you get the sound clip?
Is it possible to do with my phone since I don’t have pc
Sorry, I don’t think it is possible with a phone
hi do u know if this can play the tracks when i press the button but i also want it to play when i on the car
yes, it will play when you press the button but it will play only if you press the button. Maybe there is a way to do it but I don't know how.
@@SimplyMod85 i see. Than ku
Is it looping track? Ive made this, and still looping everytime lol
It will play all the tracks in the memory so I would just stick to 1 track of audio
Where did you get the housing for the speakers ?
I have a small speaker so I just tore it apart for this project.
Will it go into a loop after I start my car?
nope, just once after you start your car or key on the on position
Any suggestions where to buy a case to house the speaker and wires?
any small box will do. Maybe search for a mini portable speaker that has the size you want and just gut it out and use the case.
mine is somehow not working and when a plug it in my pc the file dos not show up
Did you have a data usb wire or are you using a charging cable?
Hi please help me I followed the instructions exactly like you did and it plays when the car starts but it keeps randomly plays sound whenever it wants while I am driving. Any tips on how to make sure it only plays the sound once?
have you check your power source if it turning on and off randomly or is the module turning on and off? plug it into a power bank and see if the problem still exist.
Thanks for the reply. I think solved the problem. After a little digging I think the sound boards from Amazon will loop after the car starts. On the board there will be 3 small resistors labeled “A B and C” to stop the looping you have to remove the B resistor. You can do this by rubbing the soldering iron back and forth till the solder melts and it will just fall off. For a detailed example to remove micro resistors you can just look it up.This should fix it!
Hi. I got a chip, but when i was testing it if it will work by supplying it with electricity (holding the button on, while switching it on with battery pack) it didnt work. Is there any other way to overcome this before i start cutting and rewiring?
how exactly did you supply it with electricity?
@@SimplyMod85 it came with a battery pack that has an on off switch. Im starting to think if i should replace the button with a relay which will close the the circuit as soon as the car provides the power.
I bought the module, it play the original sound, but when i plug it in the pc the module is not detected. Do u have a same issue?
I can help you out on my IG page. Dm me on IG: simply_mod85
make sure you are plugging into your PC with the micro USB not the USB you attach to the module that supplied the power
I have a issue with my chip, I followed the same steps on the video, but when I test the chip with a power bank or the laptop it sounds on loop. Do you know any solution for this?
I have the same, i think its the version of the chip we are using, in the video it is a V2.0 and mine says V2.1. Let me know if you have found a fix for this!
@@sembunoheslinga2044 I have to try something there is in the description on the chip in AliExpress, something about keeping the button pressed in order to change the options or something like that.
The only fix I came with is modifying the clip sound in my pc, the chip only plays a sound for 35 seconds, so I added complete silence to the clip I wanted till reaching the 35 seconds
When i sodler the place where the button was wired it doesnt auto play, i have to rewire the button and press it to make it work. Seems like the board doesnt know how to operate without the button
did you connect the 2 contacts together? like the wires from the button, and you cut off the button and wire the two wires together.
@@SimplyMod85 yeah I’ve tried that too still nothing
@@alx4526 it should work if you have that connected. send me some pictures to my IG and I can take a look at it
can i replace the module with mp3 decoder? is it the same or not?
probably not the same. The module only plays a single mp3 file every time the trigger wire is tripped. I'm not 100% sure how the mp3 decoder works but I don't think they are the same.
@@SimplyMod85 ohh i see.. thx for the answer, amazing video..
what exactly are you doing at 05:27, its to fast, i tried to watch at 0.25 but it was still to fast, is there any chance you can upload this with detailed instructions?
I was just soldering a piece of wire to jump the connection for the trigger button wires that I solder out. let me know if you need more information.
@@SimplyMod85 yes please. a slower motion and detailed video would help a lot ❤️
@@SimplyMod85 was that the negative piece (black) or something else?
@@sladjandemirovic5440 it was just a piece of wire that I cut out to connect the 2 soldering points of the trigering connections. send me a dm to my IG if you are still confused.
Where can we get that kind of chip?
Link is in the description
There’s a Chinese tune stuck on mine, even tho I moved it to trash 😅
you have to empty the trash can while connecting the chip to the computer. This is the same for some USB flash drives. If you don't empty the trash it will remain in the flash.
@@SimplyMod85 omg, it worked thank you so much.
