- Today Marcus drives a 2006 Honda S2000 AP2 with an HKS supercharger kit. This build puts down 363 hp at the wheels which is plenty enough to help this balanced 2-seater sports car rocket through the corner and straightaways. The S2000 originally came with roughly 200 hp at the wheels so this kit is effectively almost doubling the power while still keeping the great characteristics of the Honda inline-4. Not to mention this car also has a fully painted widebody kit fitted, thanks to Circuit Garage. Enjoy!

Also I think the wing helps make the car because it wouldn't look anywhere near as aggressive without it the part of the car I like the least is the front bumper but I don't mind it I think it needs a front lip though

Love it. The stock S2 is enough of a mad man for most sane people (if you know how to drive it), a supercharger must make it truly mental. But why the permanent hard top? One of the joys of the S2 is the ability to go top-down and still have the same rigidity and performance, not to mention the sound. Hack off that roof and you've got the perfect sports car!

To all saying the spoiler isn't functional: It definitely is. Unlike trunk mounted spoilers, chassis mounted spoilers are mounted to a much stronger surface, and exert their force much lower on the car. Really the only way to go if you want usable downforce.

For all those asking about the exhaust (as I did myself for so long), it looks like the only option based on the muffler can and the exhaust tip is the HKS Hi-Power single. Happy driving!
Yup that’s definitely it, I have the exact same one. Imo it’s the best bang for your buck, sounds absolutely amazing and only costs 500-600 bucks.

What an awesome platform to work with. I bought a 370z, but looking back, the S2K is definitely a better bang for your buck. Similar reliability, open roof, lighter, cheaper, VTEC sensation and more. Awesome review my man!

Try the other way around. At least for any kind of daily street car where you want reliability and a functional powerband.
Turbos are shit-fucking awesome though for max power and cool factor if you don't care about white-hot pipes and the danger a turbo-system creates as well as the extra stress it puts on everything with lower reliability and durability.

wrong turbo has the lag and it depends only from the air supercharger gets the job done from the engine no lag and no rev limits to work
There wouldnt be any turbo lag if you build it right...you cant install a 6062 and run 6lbs of boost...would lag so hard.

Bought it second hand in less than stellar condition. Spun a bearing. Big pieces of metal in the oil. Hoping to snag a JDM unit in a couple weeks if it’s still around.

That's not how aero works. Aero works when you have a setup specifically designed for it and tuned in a wind-tunnel. I love the ricer logic that you can just bolt up a huge wing, regardless of setup and have it work.

The good thing about a spoiler that big is that you can back the car up next to swimming pools and use it as a diving board.

3 things i would change on that car. change the rivets of the widebody to a color black. 2 change the wheels to a darker color and better fitment. 3 lower that spoiler for about 6 inches. Now that wouldn't be a sleeper but stealthy definitely.
Sounds like an angry house fly. Those cars have no torque is my problem with the fun factor. To make it go fast you have to get it above 6000RPM and the wind is ridiculous and makes the car look like a kids honda with a fart can and walmart racing wheels.
Dave B well the S2K was designed for road racing. So you dont really need top end power.

I'm gonna be honest you absolutely must put a wing on this car and this car is a prime example of why you should. Well built sounds great looks clean, nice job man!
Fail. You put a turbo compressor on with a pulley to drive it. *Vomit* Also his excuses for not going with a turbo are laughable. Turbo lag died in the 80's and running an oil line is fucking easy.

unless you're in a P1 or something to that effect, turbo lag is very much still a thing. Even in cars like the WRX or Fiesta ST where the turbo is very small, there's lag. It takes time for the pistons to go up and down, push the exhaust gas through the manifold, and then go ahead and spool the turbo up. That's just simple science. We'd love to have you and your car on the show to demonstrate a turbo car with no lag! I'd love to get a chance to drive it, it would probably get a lot of views, too.
My point was if you're really wanting to accelerate you downshift, at which point turbo lag is no longer a thing on a properly setup street/circuit car with a turbo.

S2000 owner here, to each their own, but I don't like the look of this at all, but can appreciate the build.
I love how in left hand drive S2000s the handbrake is in the optimal position for the passenger and in right hand drive Miatas the handbrake is also in the optimal position for the passenger. Surely they could have afforded to move the handbrake.
only thing which could improve this video is a onboard - pov stlye camera view.
it looks just perfect to me, and after all it's a matter of taste, but S2ks are tailhappy and this thing is tuned so I don't get the hate on the spoiler, I think the owner had a picture of a perfect S2K on his mind and his taste is 100% on point in my opinion. def. one of the top 3 S2Ks I saw and this means something because I've been watching touge battles of japanese cars since ages.
