    Went there in September as part of my bucket list. Brilliant museum full of great aircraft non of which were roped off including the me 109. You are trusted not to touch. (At least during my visit.) Also visited the Zeppelin museum, also brilliant. The recreated portion of the Hindenburg which you could go inside as if you were a passenger was a amazing and really gave you an idea how huge the full airship was. Also had a flight on one of the two airships operated by the Zeppelin company another amazing experience. Highly recommended to all aviation enthusiasts.

    Ausserdem hatte die 109 dank ihrer einfachen Konstuktion den mit Abstand geringsten Herstellungsaufwand aller vergleichbaren Jäger des Wk 2. Gerade das war für Deutschland mit den knappen Resoucen ganz wichtig .

    Give it yellow 14 I./JG27 North Africa camouflage for Hans-Joachim Marseille. Historian Colin Heaton the author of the Book The Star of Africa is trying to get a new movie made about him.

    I guess they dont paint them in authentic schemes because its in Germany?

    • @FritzKraut
      @FritzKraut 2 месяца назад +1

      That is not the reason. Google hangar 10. A flying museum north east at the border of Poland. They operate two BF 109 G and one FW 190 A in autentic colors. Only without the swastica. I presume this silver bird is painted taht way to show the lines of the bird without distraction. A guess. Ah, and have look at Messerschmitt Museum in Manching/Augsburg. They operate Me 108, ME 109 G and ME 262 in autentic colors as well.

      @@guaporeturns9472 You may be right, I think the museum is familiar with this detail, I found a photo of the 109G-2 MT-201 an early model from 1944 that has the clean cowl, so the museum is probably right. The G-6's and later apparently had the gun blisters.
