Probably the heaviest thing the suspension will need to carry is the full length mirror Matty uses to check himself out....

Who have you been talking to?
It amazes me how secrets like this get out!

Also does that nut on the left hand suspension look a bit loose?

Trouble is what ever the upgrade say 500kg that amount comes off the total towing amount. So swings and roundabouts, everything is a compromise.

Yeah for sure, it can be a balancing act!
We made the call that if we ever did tow into the future that we’d be happy with what was left over in the GCM, which is around 2500kg.

Have you got a chance to drive it yet ? How you finding the 600kg rear spring? I have a dmax arriving soon and wanted a similar setup. I was worried about the ride quality with 600kg rear springs ?

Yep we have been able to drive it around for a month or so now.
We’re really happy with how it feels and handles on-road (we can’t wait to test the whole setup off-road soon - haven’t had a chance yet). The leaf springs obviously felt firmer before we finished adding all of the weight, but now that we’ve loaded it up with almost everything for the trip it’s sitting and handling really well.
We’re estimating our total weight will be around 3350-3400kg.
