- If your bike won't start, but turns over just fine, and you weren't working on it, to where you can't even blame yourself for a small oversight, these are a few of the things that could be casuing your problems

This was my problem. I had the spray out at the fuel line disconnect. Cleaned injector done. Thanks 14 500 exc
Glad it helped
I had this last happen last weekend. 2016 KTM 350Sxf ran perfectly Saturday, on Sunday it turned over but didn't fire. I checked the fuel filter-clean. The fuel connector has a solid connection and gas does not spray out. When I "bump' the starter I do hear the pump go for a second. I also do not get any displayed codes on the EFI light. I have the Quantum complete kit coming( it's something I've been wanting to do anyway) but have not yet installed it. Hopefully that fixes it, though what you said about the ECU makes me nervous. I REALLY don't want to spend $800 for one
I’m having this problem I rode it one night and the next day it wouldn’t start it’s turning over but not trying to start
How do u know when ecu goes bad my bike cranks and won’t start , did the pump, in line filter , fuel filter and injector and plug bike still won’t start
You'd have to take to the dealer then to figure that one out. They can plug into their tester
2021 500 XCFW. Runs beautifully for a year. Just overnight it rolls over and over but won't start. pulled off tank, pulled off quick connect. no pressure built downstream of pump. PUMP?????
Pump most likely
@@ktmhusky i have been getting a code that says r204 for awhile but it still ran rode it last night washed it off next day it won’t start it will turn over but won’t start joe battery died I guess cause it won’t do anything now
@@ktmhusky this is A 300 tpi by the way
How common is the ECU issue on the 16 250xcf-w models ? I have the last year of the kickstart model. I was just going to do one of my weekly warm up this last winter. The battery was dead so i just kicked it a few times it fired up but sounded awful looping in & out. So i turned it off. Tore apart the motor to see if i had slapped the valves or piston got messed up, timing chain was not off, shims good in spec, etc. Now i never got it to start after that until last week when i got it back together with my JD fuel tunner installed it fired right up and ran in idle for a bit then died again. So im wondering if im at the ECU point or injector still and its just acting differently with a tuner added?!? Fuel pump (quantum) has been replaced and has 52psi as well. They told me at the husky dealer they dont work on KTMs and the 2.5hr away KTM dealer said they dont have a tester for ECU and are 8plus weeks out. So I'm just still scratching my head, before i spend anymore wasted money on it. Thanks
Most likely line filter or injector
@@ktmhusky ok thank you
I crashed my 450 the other day. And my bike won’t fire since, it cranks but no fire. Any idea why?
Most likely broke the spark plug
ktm husky I don’t think so, I inspected it and tested for spark, it still emits spark..
It will still spark if outside the cylinder, but when installed, the sylinder pressure will blow the spark out the side.
My bike after getting the valves adjusted by dealer, it doesnt want to start when the engine is hot. Like on a hard trail, if it dies by stalling cuz the trail is super hard, the engine is hot and it wont start anymore. Any ideas?
