V nyc card
What is a V NYC card?
You have the best tools. Super quality. Where do you purchase your tools? and What brand is your Skiver? Lori L
Most of my tools come from Blanckard, some of them are linked in the description. The skiving machine I use is from Nippy.
Do you deal in the wholesale?
Excellent video! Thanks for the list of tool links; very helpful. I've bookmarked your page of patterns; thanks for that link as well.
Question: what is the overhand tool you're using from 0:28-0:45? I've rewatched that section several times and can't make up my mind if you're beveling or creasing. ;) I like the look of that particular tool.
Thanks for comment! The tool you are referring to is a crease, check the video I have made about it: ruclips.net/video/ZyzjqCGCcj0/видео.html
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply; much appreciated! I'm off to watch your video! :)
where do you get the edge creaser from? fleabay doesnt seem to know what they are :-)
Please check the link in the description for tool links. Iron are from Regad.
What’s the green board used underneath the leather while cutting which has some graduations on it pls suggest me where to buy it n what’s it called
It usually is called a "self healing" cutting board. It protects the knife's cutting edge and you can purchase from most leather craft suppliers like Tandy Leather.
Hi. Thanks for sharing, nice work. What is the thickness of the leather you use for this project?
The leather used is about 1.2mm thick
@@Theleathercraftacademy Thanks a lot.

Hello,i would like to ask how thick is the electric creaser you used for this product please ? 1mm, 1,5 mm, 2 mm, ?? Thank you !
The reference from Regad is FN2, the crease is in fact 2mm from the edge and the stitching 2.5mm
Thanks a lot !! Great !!
Is the top part ‘wider’ then the under part?
Yes, I cut it trim having assembled the top part. Just to make sure edges are flush.
The leathercraft academy what do you use to stich it i would.like to get in to this kind of trade but would like to know what is best be for i start
what tool are you using in the beggining ?
+Dumitru Cojocari you might be talking about the electric creaser. I am preparing a video talking about it.... coming soon
عمل جيد
What's the machine for at 1:36? I can't figure out it's purpose.
This is a skiving machine, I use it to make the edges thinner.
Why was this video called Wet leather Molded ? I did not see any water .
Sorry Yes, you are right, I have lost the footage where I am wetting the leather. In fact I did it just before I put the card holder on the mold. Soak the leather until it becomes really pliable, just a few seconds or until you see the leather has well absorbed water.
When did you wet the leather, nowhere on the video was it wetted.
What kind and weight of leather do you recommend for this?
1.2mm thick
Bridle leather? Veg tan? Thank you!!
Veg tanned leather.
May I know where did you get that card mold?
I make it laser cut. That's acrylic. You could also make it in wood.
The leathercraft academy what are the dimensions of the mold? If I wanted to have one cut from acrylic what dimensions would I give them? Thanks
I am confused on the tittle. Wet ?
En español mmm ?
seems like it might be prudent to tell people they can use a stack of business cards for the molding step instead of needing to make a special insert,
Even better to use a stack of old credit cards in my opinion, as business cards are commonly made of paper. Wet leather and paper is not the best combination. In any case I would recommend the use of a mold designed for this particular purpose for serious makers.

HAND UP AND SUSCRIBE!!! +1
+Leather Workshop thanks a lot!
Nice project, but I must be missing something here. The title refers specifically to wet molding but you never took the time to cover it in the video. I did see you insert a form near the end of the video, but if you moistened and formed the leather around that block it was left out of the final edit.
While that doesn't take away from the finished product it did mean 3 and a half minutes and no coverage of the wet molding. "Making a card holder" would have been a more appropriate title.
what kind of stitch irons are you using?
I am using Vergez Blanchard #8
Pricking iron 2 teeth #8 Vergez Blanchard: amzn.to/2khId5L
Pricking iron 5 teeth Vergez Blanchard#8: amzn.to/2kU1SKM
